When making ice cream, traditional Slow Churned tastes the best!

I know there were fancy ice cream molds, I wonder if the ice cream held a different consistency to keep the shape?

I once heard Washington ran up a huge tab from eating ice cream.

Dolley Madison loved oyster ice cream. Must have been an acquired taste. Lol

It's actually pretty good. You just have to expect a savory instead of a sweet.

I bet the ice house was some underground bunker. I bet they made ice cream in bulk right in the ice house and stored it right there.

Isn't that what strawberry ice cream is? I think I prefer the frosty strawberry chunks.

While ice from the river may have been used to cool things it would have been dirty. I suspect that Washington was a bit more discriminating than that. He would have had shallow tubs filled with as much clean water as he expected to freeze over night or during a cold spell and stored that as well. Ya'll have fun now.

Well i guest this man took the time to get well educated on the biography of gorge Washington since almost all of the material on his UA-cam channel seem to relate to this death man know as gorge Washington well good for him if that's all he has to do on his free time we common folk don't have time to think of death people on our daily life's its a miracle i just came upon this video since i have some free time today i don't always have time for watching stuff like this on my everyday life

I'm sure I can confirm that I, a common person, love learning all about dead people in my free time.

I'm still thinking on how did the ancient people make ice blocks

    • @matthewwyman1581

I'd guess they'd either harvest it from frozen lakes or leave tubs of water out to freeze when it got cold. Ice cream didn't really catch on until a good chunk of time after the medieval period.
