- Explore Lukla to Namche Bazaar trek with me to see Mount Everest while traveling in Nepal. This travel vlog covers our flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airport, our trek from Lukla airport to Phakding; and then onto Namche Bazaar. We did a three day trek and flew back to Kathmandu the next morning. Hope you enjoy the vlog! -

Great question! We stayed at the Himalayan Lodge in Namche Bazaar. Not sure how much we paid though, because we booked via a trekking agency (Eagle Eye Treks and Expedition in Kathmandu) and paid everything up front. Safe travels! 🙏
Thank you for your response. Most other sites only talk about paying a fee when you enter the National Park at Phakding, but I noticed that you seemed to stop a few times to get your permit checked. Did you pay each time, or was it just checking your permit was valid?
@@billsmith6884 We were trekking with a guide who took care of going to the booths for us. I can say for sure though there was a payment sign at the Namche check point. There was one price rate for Nepali/ Indian nationals and a higher rate for every one else.
Thank you. It has been very difficult to get this type of information on line. My hotel has said that they can organise my flights, but the rest I want to take care of, as I prefer to trek alone. I have been to Kathmandu many times, but this will be my first trek outside of the valley.

We booked our tour via Eagle Eye Treks Expedition in Kathmandu since their price was good and their guides spoke English well.🧡

Loved the trek and wondering how difficult it the trek? When is the best time? And how to organize the booking?
It was not that difficult, but should definitely get some practice before doing it.
We trekked in Fall in 2019.
We booked through Eagle Eye Trekking in Kathmandu.
