They made a video with a good friend of mine cast netting shrimp in Daytona and never mentioned him, was really disappointing. So cool, behind the scenes stuff, gives a greater understanding of what is involved.....For the record: you explain things just fine, I didn't have any problems following along.....It kind of goes with the business, but you have a very relaxing voice, that belays a sense of calm......perfect for instructing people... if the guiding business falls off or you for some reason couldn't boat....you have the manner of a teacher, and would make a good one.....same qualities hold true if you have children and become a parent.

    the monthly sub income should be .03C for every sub too (paid every month), so 37,000 subs shld pay $1,110 month. Plz correct me if Im wrong. Your vids are really good. your channel isnt big enuf that everything interesting is edited out. Thats what i hate about channels once they reach 500,000 subs or more, the content changes. might be bc content creators become afraid of having their vids or channels blocked losing a large income stream. Anyway, smaller channels may not have studio production quality, but the content is usually better. And I watch you bc your vids are interesting.
    The more views a vid gets, the more subs are gotten from it. So yah, smash the like button.

    • @KeyWestWaterman
      @KeyWestWaterman  3 роки тому

      maybe i'm unaware but I don't think that's a thing, because if I don't post anything I don't get paid. only pennies from the old videos. maybe that's a ballpark calculation as to what you should making based on subs but idk because those numbers don't match up for me.

    Love your channel. I’ve been spear fishing my whole life and a charter boat Capt out of Miami since I was 18. I’ve got a question. What action camera do you use for your dives and do you use ND filters? I would love to see an episode on your camera gear, mounts, camera settings and stuff like that. Keep up the good work!

      I use GoPro 8's currently, no filters. would be happy to squeeze all that into an episode! its very straight forward on my end! no fancy stuff! I do appreciate the feedback brother!

    Ran across your videos way back when you started, I like your honesty and take time to explain your way of doing things I can imagine that you are fun to fish with. Any bit of income help pay the bills! I hope that you can hook up with another you tuber so that you can get who that would be so you can get more watchers. Hey Aaron, I've noticed you use mostly traditional setups. Have you used roller-guns? and would you recommend using one as an experienced spearfisherman? I've been diving for three years and currently use a double roller-head but Im striving for better range and accuracy. Greetings from the Sunshine Coast, Australia.

    • @KeyWestWaterman
      @KeyWestWaterman  3 роки тому +1

      I have zero experience with rollers! a lot of people swear by them but I'm an old fashioned guy. if it ain't broke don't fix it. if I start missing fish or coming up short i'll explore other options. I think with increased range I would sacrifice accuracy. which after all is the selling point of a roller.

    Thanks for all the education on spearfishing. Couple questions, why not using explosive tips so don't have to fight big fish?, do you taxidermy?, finally is spearfishing sharks legal? Happy holidays.

    • @KeyWestWaterman
      @KeyWestWaterman  3 роки тому +1

      some people do, it's prohibited in some places. adds an extra expense. don't have any issues with the way I do it now. I dont taxidermy and its illegal here!

      @@KeyWestWaterman only time I see it worth while to use powerheads is guys like Dan MacMahon tri-mix diving in 200-300 feet of water shooting big Carbos, Gags, muttons, and AJs. No time to play around at that depth and he's shooting commercially. And you don't have 20 minutes to get them out of the ledge at that depth.
      But he's also surgically accurate with that freeshaft gun of his and stones most of his fish. If you haven't seen him go check him out. The #s he dives are like jurassic park!

    Hey man. Enjoyed your bluewater setup. Just curious about bluewater spearfishing... do you usually have to dive very deep for these wahoos? From the videos I got a feeling they're most of the times cruising near the top water columns, so about 10 ft to 20ft max? For your bluewater trips do you have to dive super deep? Thanks.

    • @KeyWestWaterman
      @KeyWestWaterman  3 роки тому

      typically the wahoo come in around 20-30 ft but sometimes on the surface, its rare I shoot at one past 40-50 ft!
