There seems to be a lot of comments saying he could just run. the only problem with that is that the animatronics move quickly. Notably Foxy. If you study the details of the building's layout you will see that Pirates Cove is right by one of the Hallways, giving Foxy plenty lf time to get a running start for the guard. Also take into account how high the odds are that an animatronic is waiting outside the other door. Notice that when the power goes out, Freddy is the only one that attacks. This is likely because the rest of them are at the right door to block their escape. And again, its been proven that the animatronics are way faster than they appear. Who knows, they may all be as fast as Foxy. Just because we have never seen them run doesn't mean they can't. All in all this animation was incredibly realistic. Very impressive!
@@ratoz8127 the thing is. The pizzeria is kind a small place, so being able to run that fast in that small ass pizzeria doesn't really do much. If the nightguard made it to the exit door, he would have to slow down in order to open the door. And considering Foxy can almost outrun you, it's most likely Foxy is going to be able to get you, not to mention the other animatronics can possibly run faster, who knows!
0:49 the fact freddy moved even closer to the nightguard without us seeing it is legitimately one of the most terrifying thing’s i’ve ever seen when he was playing the music, he was on the corner outside of the door, and when the nightguard turned on the flashlight he was bent over inside the office to get closer, waiting for the nightguard to turn the flaghlight on as he just stares.

The lights shutting off, the doors opening, the sound of the building shutting down, The feeling of terror, knowing that your death is near, but still barely holding on to hope that the clock will reach 6. The iconic tune of Toreador March playing, then suddenly, silence. Then, footsteps. You know that Freddy is just inches away now. You're gripped with sheer terror, culminating in a jumpscare, and a game-over. This was the most memorable part of FNAF1, at least for me, and this short video made me feel the same way I did that first time I died from running out of power back in 2014. Thanks, Squimpus; You made FNAF scary again!
The visuals of FNAF 1 weren't the greatest, it was, after all, a one-person indie game by a developer who fully planned to give up if it didn't make it far. But that sound, of the building slowing down, all the mechanisms gradually fading, now _that_ was well done.
Shit was even scarier in FNAF 1 (beta) where Golden Freddy would appear in the screen, Just staring at your soul with his Black eyes and his Head being oddly rotated, making your game crash. Sometimes, The screen would flicker with a text saying "IT'S ME"

I love how it looks like the person is just trembling in fear, they turn off the flashlight as soon as they hear the footsteps too. It adds such a big layer to make me feel as though they're trapped inside there and in their final moments. HELLA good animation and always amazes me omgg
Did you know that in the actual game you can play dead? When the power goes out, if you stay completely still, it’s more likely for Freddy to take longer to jump scare you.
@@thechosenone9910 incorrect, that has been debunked. The main reason people got that idea is because in one of the phone calls, they say that playing dead might help to make the animatronics think your an empty suit. But that is not an actual mechanic in the game at all.
A really small detail that I really appreciate in this is the fan slowing to a stop after the power goes out. That was one thing that always bothered me about the original game, when the power goes out the fan just. Stops. Immediately. So to have that corrected in this is very satisfying. Also EVERYTHING ELSE IS FANTASTIC TOO THIS IS JUST THE SMALL DETAIL THAT I REALLY LIKE
The scariest part about this to me is honestly the fact that we never see the time. We don’t know if this happened mere seconds before 6am, or whether it was hours away. We don’t know and we probably won’t know.

Romir 308 stop closing both the doors and only use your cameras for a split second you will notice a difference because of the color differences. Then you will see them but only be on the camera for a second.
Imagine *being* in this situation. In the dark not being able to see anything, you know your death is mere seconds away, and the object of your demise is standing just a few feet away from you, playing music and illuminating nothing but it's face, almost as if to toy with your fear. Imagine how you would act in this situation, how you would *feel* in this situation, the terror you would experience is hard to exaggerate.

Fun fact: the length of time between power outage and Freddy showing up is random. Funner fact: the length of time Freddy spends playing the music box is also random. Funnest fact: the length of time Freddy waits between the music stopping and killing you is *also* random.
I just love how this tapes portray the animatronics in general, i mean, the animatronics are unanimated beings that are being possessed, they don't blink, breathe, or feel anything. You feel disturbed by the way that they stare directly at your soul whitout any emotion, or the way that they lurk around in complete silence just trying to kill you. I don't know but after fnaf 2 the games begin to miss this kind of horror, and seeing something like this is simply awesome.
I dunno, FNAF 2 has a bit of charm to it, seeing the mascots staring directly at you down a hallway with nothing stopping them is pretty freaky on its own, FNAF 3 it’s just you and Afton stuck in a cramped mockery of the fazbear franchise, and FNAF 4 went full 80s horror with the characters being hellish creatures wandering in your home, but outside of those 4 I’d have to agree with you, they don’t really live up to standards.
TL:DR: The modern games lose the combinations of having animatronics that are both conceptually and visually scary as well as losing almost any realism the other games might've had. I agree. Fnaf 3's Phantom-atronics look like burnt vegetables and, while they have good jumpscare animations, only distract the player. And the man inside Springtrap is far scarier than the animatronic himself. Fnaf 4 has you fighting nightmarish versions of the animatronics that lose any sense of realism the other games have or had and try way too hard to be scary by adding seven rows of super sharp teeth and sharp claws. The concept behind the nightmares is incredibly fucked up, but the bnightmares themselves aren't very scary. Sister Location is better, but the weird, constantly moving face plates are a weird design choice. Finally, Fnaf 6 has bad jumpscare animations and I only consider Molten Freddy to have a somewhat frightening design.

They are more focused on the story itself. Fnaf 4 is based on what the kid sees. For him, things were scary, and for a kid, that is the stereotype of scary. Layers of sharp teeth, all that "nightmare shape". While at FNAF 1 and 2, the story is all around what happens with the security, the way they act there is a really important part of the story, which allowed many people to observe connections between what the phone guy said and things that happened with the way they acted for example. Consequently, FNAF 1 and 2 had an excellent job for gameplay and being scary, while the others had a lot more of focus on other details, specially minigames and the story itself.
One of my theories is that Freddy was programmed to play music and light up his eyes when the power goes out in case the power goes out during open hours to calm children down. Edit: I keep seeing people go “that would be horrifying” but consider: you are an innocent child and have no idea about any of the lore. Now that I think about it though, it would be a lil scary lol. Also note: I’m not going to claim myself as the first person who thought of this comment, I know other people have said the same thing before me, but I never saw those comments.

The power outage noise is actually chilling.
One of my theories is that Freddy was programmed to play music and light up his eyes when the power goes out in case the power goes out during open hours to calm children down.

I keep seeing people go “that would be horrifying” but consider: you are an innocent child and have no idea about any of the lore. Now that I think about it though, it would be a lil scary lol.

God, its so realistic. I think it's the little details, like how when it goes dark, the guy tries to point his camera at the door, an then adjusts when the face pops up, it's so effective. Love that a lot.
For things like this moment, I really think the first five nights at freddy's it's the most terrifying of them all.

The thing that gets me is the fact that Freddy was just stood there in the darkness staring at nothing for a bit, you didn't realise he was there until it shows him in the light when he plays the music.
