So here we have a sound design issue actually (referring to 1:10 as below): you hear the same sound for a lot of things. In this case, I thought this sound was related to a spike ball, blocking the way - as it happened before - so I didn't go back...to get a cage. Can't remember how I got this one before, maybe lucky, maybe there were some sound differences.....
Well, it turned out so that you have to jump on that other cloud there to spawn the cage (which is why you hear the gendoor sound). But yeah, that sound doesn't always show when a gendoor is activated, so it can get real confusing sometimes.
Gendoor sounds, right, but I just would have liked some more sound effects. Playing this game a couple of years later, you're actually a lot more critical :P Also regarding the respawning of enemies.... in no time :D
Thanks for showing me where to find the cages! ;) :) And fancy that! XD Some of them have been put in a few slightly different areas in the levels and the levels themselves have very slightly different design compared to the origin for the PS1! XD Don’t they?! XD Well... Just a very little bit more added to them
Yep, the PC version and its ports have a slightly different design. Many lives and cages have been switches around and the first phase of Bongo Hills is completely different. I'm glad my videos could help! :)
RayCarrot You’re welcome sir/madam! ;) :) Have you got the er.. iOS version of this game? :) It’s fun! 😃😃😃😃😃 The pixels graphics may not hold a candle to the PS1’s graphic art style but I’m cool with that! ;) :) And at least it doesn’t have very lazy and very ugly music sound effects like the game boy advance port has! 🤮🤮🤮🤮 Mind you, in the PS1 version, the very first level there’s an extremely dickish cage and even if you have the running power up it STILL takes a leap of faith to get up there!😤😤😤😤
Sure, I've played pretty much all versions (PC, PS1, GBA, DSi, iOS, Android). The new mobile version is definitely one of the best, especially since it's portable! :) Hm, not totally sure which cage you're talking about here. Most cages seem pretty fair, at least when you know where they are (which is the tricky part).
RayCarrot It’s the very first level ever in Blue Mountain. That purple thingamajig is just too high up in the PS1 version even when you have the running ability it STILL takes a giant leap of faith to grab in to it but in other ports it’s much easier for you to reach and ya don’t need the running ability
Around the point where you pass a spinning spikey thing and start going up, you can just drop down and grab the purple lum to skip about a quarter of the level part.
1:10 WHAT!? aaahhh.... I can't believe it..... .-. well.... the first cloud that you use to go up is incorrect? you need obligatory to fall and use the other? in this case, is a little difficult to find this cage xd anyway, thanks again xD P.D.: I have played this game in my childhood, and i love it. I remember some difficult cages, but not all xD and i have defeated Skops, now i gonna find all cages.
+Jack Moon No, that at all... Was a while since I made this video, though I guess I just remembered that cage in the last second resulting in me having to go back down and get the cloud again. :P So no need to do any hard maneuvers like that :) Good luck finding the rest of the cages :) The final level which unlocks once you do so is really cool!
Interestingly, the Chinese version translates the name of this region as "Nightmares", and it's difficulty is really a nightmare for we Chinese players.

Man.. Do I really have to replay this again.. Think u found my flaw there, cheers

Oh, you mean in the Blue Mountains. Well, yes, then I totally agree with you. That jump is really annoying to perform since it's so pixel perfect.
Around the point where you pass a spinning spikey thing and start going up, you can just drop down and grab the purple lum to skip about a quarter of the level part.
Yeah, I know. I found out about it as a kid when I fell down once :P It's pretty neat, but since it's a walkthrough I wanted to show the entire level.
Fair enough.
5:24 I can’t reach this one, the game just doesn’t give this
Cause you have to do a task which will trigger it
@@gaminganimators7000 which task?

RayCarrot Ohhh... ok xd and thanks c: yes, when i defeat Skops for first time, and nothing happened, i thought that the game was defective xdd
RayCarrot if you don't go to the other cloud you can't make the cage appear so it was needed
Lampros Lampratos so That’s Why i went through this level and only missed one cage k

MS DOS e Playstation 1 tem diferenças absurdas, as gaiolas estão localizadas em pontos diferentes. 🙂
