Another point on the Unknown Winds: Some players have been tributing for Mega Raiza using the unknown winds and attempting to activate the additional bounce effect which requires one of the tributes used to be a wind monster. However, you can't use the additional bounce because Unknown winds is SENDING the wind monster and not tributing the wind monster which is what Mega Raiza's additional bounce requires.
Yes that mega raiza cannot use the EXTRA effect :) no tributes were made. Also on that note: Mega Raiza needs to bounce (it is mandatory) so using the effect of Unexplored winds and sending away all your opponents card may not be a good thing as u could be forced to bounce your own cards.

Question? 🤔 Would Revealer of the Ice Barrier stopped Floowandereeze tribute summon? While you control another "Ice Barrier" monster, your opponent cannot Tribute Summon. You can only use each of the following effects of "Revealer of the Ice Barrier" once per turn. You can discard 1 card; Special Summon 1 "Ice Barrier" Tuner from your Deck, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except WATER monsters. If you would discard, or send a card(s) from your hand to the GY, to activate an "Ice Barrier" monster's effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead of 1 of those cards.
I don't know how this would work but I personally love the judge content and would love to see a collaboration/contest between you and distant coder for rulings. Just throwing that out there
I know I’m really late to the party here, but I think it would also be important to mention that the text on the Floowandereeze monsters that says that they will be banished if they leave the field is NOT an effect that can be negated, it’s rules text. So something like effect veiler or infinite impermanence applying to those monsters will not have them go to the gy when they leave the field, they will still be banished.
Try some Evil Twins/Live Twins rulings video. One that's going around a lot is opponent activates Triple Tactics Talent while Trouble Sunny is face up; you in response Tribute Trouble Sunny to get Kisikil and Lilla back, then opponent chooses to take control of a monster, being Lilla. Do you still get the effects of Kisikil?
This is almost exactly like IP into Unicorn vs Talents. I believe the Konami ruling was Talents resolves then whoever summoned unicorn can activate their effect even if your opp decided to take Unicorn and would control it when the trigger effect activates.
@@lokithehero2309 this one is just weird because all these monsters look for is the trigger; they look for if they were on the field at summon, not at resolution. But so many people fight me on it.
If I activate a tri brigade nervall to special summon and am chained with II/EV, could i chain book of moon targeting the nervall, and still resolve the special summon since i had paid cost? I have heard someone that they have chained linkuriboh's quick effect to tribute the nervall, and still be able to resolve the effect.
What i want to know is this. If i already got veilered on for example my taia swordsoul, can i on resolution use the effect, chain book and it resolves? He did not clarify that. In a chain ik it will resolve but outside idk
It's not about "following it to the hand" or "following it to the graveyard" it's that veiler and imperm negate effects of the monster that activate on the field, and that includes effects who's cost includes removing the monster from the field, such as by tributing it or bouncing it.
Who ever that came up with follow to the hand or GY bullshit. Unfortunately veiler and imperm needs to apply it's card effect to negate on to an actual card unlike ash. If there was no card to apply on there is nothing to negate. Imperm and veiler doesn't chain onto an activation, it needs to negate the effects of a monster by resolving it to apply to the card text. If the card is no longer on the field or face up there us nothing to apply on to. Remember flipping a card face down resets any sort of negation applied on to it.
@@MSTTV Yeah I wasn't disagreeing with anything you said in the video, just adding context to what people mistakenly think "following to the hand/gy" is
tom, i have a question, with the phoenix effect and the drytrons. If in my standby phase phoenix is revived by its effect, can I activate the effects to summon the drytron that turn?
As long as Phoenix is special summoning something that cannot be normal summoned/set. Drytron restrictions would not apply to Phoenix. Phoenix being from the extra deck implies it cannot be normal summoned/set.
No the monster effect ISNT negated because modifiers (like Imperm/Veiler's lingering negation) fall off as soon as the monster is set. Since it falls off before the monster tries to resolve, there is nothing stopping it. For example: You normal summon Aleister, effect to add invocation. No response from your opponent. You then chain book of moon targeting Aleister. Opponent chains impermanence on Aleister. During resolution, CL3 Impermanence will negate Aleister's effects, then CL2 BoM will set Aleister facedown and remove the effect of Imperm, then CL1 Aleister will resolve successfully in searching Invocation. I hope it was clear.
I want to know rulling on floowandereze and scary sea cuz i dont know like negate special summon is like anything special summon or just monster not extra monster??
I was playing master duel and I just had someone waste infinite impermanence after I responded with book of moon to they using fog blade on Eglen. Yes, the effect is negated but when it resolves is face down so it forgets it was negated... I think is probably better to save the imperm for the barrier statue or the Empen.
I kwow i'm in a big late but i had never seen this deck before today, so, if someone normal summon robinia while he had a eagle banished can i activate solemn judgment to negate the normal summon? Or the eagle go for second chain and then i can't activate it? I'm pretty sure i can activate solemn but i need a confirm
Ok, so how is the book of moon thing different than mask change? Opponent uses mask change and i chain book of moon, but the facedown monster still has mask change applied and goes to the graveyard to summon the masked hero.
Applying a negating an effect on a card requires the card to be face up or it has no text/effect to negate. Sending, destroying, banishing cards away that has been targeted. As long as "it" is still the target, it can still apply to it. Negating vs moving cards.
Quick question robina cl1 effect vailer cl2 book of moon cl3 infinite imperm cl4 does it get negated or does it still go threw since it’s set and forgets that it was negated?
Question: If I normal summon Robina, activate effect, opponent chains Veiler/Imperm, I chain Book of Moon, and they chain another Imperm/Veiler, how will the chain resolve? Will the Robina be negated by the second handtrap and fail to resolve after the Book of Moon flips it facedown?
The Robina continues to resolve because it got flipped face down before the resolution. Like it was negated the flipping face down before resolution basically made it so imperm no longer applied. Although Robina had her effect negated while face-up, Robina's effect in the chain link isn't resolving at that time. Once Robina flips face down, the card is imperm's negation is no longer applying.
Remember imperm isn't negating an activation or an effect in response to an activation of a card directly below it. It is targeting a card to negate its effects. It needs to apply it's effect onto something, and if a negated card gets flipped face down... It is no longer negated.
Hi question, if miscellaneousaurus is being applied via its effect to make your Dino’s uneffected by activated effects. Can unexplored winds still send the monster for tribute?
Because when you put it in the graveyard it is already public. - Contact Fusing isn't a summon that that starts a chain, it is an action. The legality to perform the action is immediate recognized upon performing the action. - Also you aren't applying a card effect or anything - Your logic of cyber dragon contact fusing is the similar to as tributing a facedown winged beast monster for icarus attack, the moment you perform the action it already revealed its legality upon its cost/action.
Question: I have a Zombie World on the field, a set Call of The Haunted and Necroworld Banshee in the GY and pass turn. My opponent activates Harpies Feather Duster and I chain Call of the Haunted, targeting Banshee. Does Banshee protect Zombie World or not?
No, it wouldn't. HFD would hit call, and once that's hit banshee would go to the graveyard and Zombie World would have no more protection. I could be wrong, but because all of this happens simultaneously everything would get sent to the gy
Banshee can protect it , since call of the haunted and zombie world have to die at the same time and that's impossible , banshee is face up until call of the haunted dies ! Which means her effect apply
So with undiscovered winds effect being clarified does it work on a monster that is just un effected by cards in general like ultimate falcon and the new beetrooper fusion? Ive been told otherwise and with this clarification it seems like what I've been told isn't the case
You said that the Unexplored Winds effect being applied to a shaddoll monster will trigger it? Can you show a ruling for this? I ask because this is a replacement effect, so wouldn't the shaddoll be considered sent to the GY by game mechanics (like by being tributed for a tribute summon)?
This additional summon method effect is a continuous like card effect. You can look up the database it is in there with shaddoll Falco as the example. You apply this card effect to send them.
Could you go in depth with the interaction between DPE and stormwind statue. Specially where DPE resolves its effect in grave and stormwind is brought out onto the field before the next standby phase.
Well if you have Barrier statue on field before DPE can revive itself, DPE will be unable to special summon itself from the grave, and since there is no Wind attribute Destiny monster, the effect becomes useless
This effect is comparable to barricadeborg blocker. Where it activates in a earlier in the turn and completes it's effect some time later similar to a lingering effect that is applied to a game state. We are also going to tie in a little Sky Striker ruling in here too. Upon destruction, even if Barrier Statue of the stormwinds is on the field, DPE will activate to summon a destiny Hero in the standby phase. This is due to the potential game state changes where the summon could become legal later. Although, we know all destiny heros are Dark. This is because it is not immediately summoning the card and if game state were to change and card effect chains the tribute of something in the GY to wind or the require could be fulfilled by clearing the statue. It's the unguaranteed nature of the card that allows it to activate. If by standby phase the statue is still up, then DPE won't be able to summon and we move on. Just like how barricadeborg block can activate even with no field spell or cont. Spells in the GY. Because it can change later. Even though we know there are no wind destiny Hero
Hey Tombox, had a ruling question on Dark Phoenix Enforcer. If my opponent controls magical meltdown and special summons DFE and on summon activates it's quick effect am I allowed to respond?
Using fusion destiny? He successfully summons out DPE while meltdown is out. And upon the successful fusion summon in that timing window they activate DPE, can you respond? No. Currently still the successful fusion summon timing. Meltdown does not allow response.
Because Stormforth reads "If you would TRIBUTE a monster [...], You can TRIBUTE a monster your opponent controls". Since you do not tribute at all when using unexplored winds as Tombox explained, you cannot apply Stormforth. I hope that makes sense?
It's for the same reason that Mask of Restrict doesn't work. Monarchs Stormforth specifies tributing a monster, while Unexplored Winds sends cards without tributing them (even though it's a Tribute Summon).
If I have a floowandereeze level one on fuel but it’s effect is negated and then I proceed to tribute the monster. Would the level 1 go to grave since it’s effect was negated? Or would the monster be banished regardless?
@@MSTTV like if they imperm, veiler or qinglong my face up level 1 would me tributing or having my monster attacked cause it to go to grave? Or is it a condition that it has to be banished unless it cannot legally be banished?
@@eduardosanchez8915 it is an unclassified effect, meaning it's not continuous. It is an effect that applies when it meets it's condition and typically cannot be negated. So the moment it meets it's condition, The moment it leaves the field face-up it banishes.
Infinite impermance targets necroworld banshee, and impermance resolves. On a new chain, you activate the same necroworld banshee that was on the field, you banish it, does necroworld banshee resolve or is it still negated by imperm?
the effect of a card activated on the field still resolves on the field, therefor its still negated ( as it resolves on the field). You can see the difference with Hieratic Seal of the Heavenly Spheres, it tributes itself for the first eff to bounce, which under for example DRNM is still negated and wont resolve as stated above. Its second eff triggers when it hits the grave where it is considerd a different card, the card therefor also resolves in the grave where the eff will not be negated
No, as Necroworld Banshee has already been negated. Necroworld Banshee activates on the field even though it left the field via cost, it was activated on the field while it was negated, therefore effect is negated upon resolution. (this is not a GY trigger where a card activated when it was moved into a GY) However, if Necroworld banshee was killed and sent to GY and then It banished itself. It would resolve and get u a ZOmbie World, If necroworld banshee chained to Imperm, then you will get zombie world.
@@MSTTV and in the case of Shiranui Solitaire has already been negated by Veiler/ Imperm, even if it tributes itself (sent to the GY for cost), the effect to summon a 0 DEF Tuner Zombie would still be negated, am I right? In that case, does the same thing apply for Pankratops (given that it didn't directly chain into the Veiler/ Imperm, but trigger its effect AFTER being negated?)
@@minhkhoao8317 Yes you are correct, if something like solitaire and rescue cat, who tributes themselves as cost, is impermed before it can do that, it will not resolve, the type that can resolve are those that can not tribute themselves for cost or is an entirely seperate effect like spheres and nerval, those if are impermed can still resolve their second effect to search

For small birb it is only banished when leaves firld face-up 4. If you tribute monster such as Raiza Mega, you don't get the additional effect since you are sending your cards instead of actually tributing the mentioned attribute 5. You cannot substitute tribute unaffected tower since it is unaffected by the any other effects if it exists 6. You can send cards that doesn't allow you to tribute since you are sending cards to tribute summon instead of actually tributing for normal procedure Such card is Summoner Monk, Eater of Millions and probably sided Mask of Restrict and Zombie World
you cannot special summon the turn you activate any of the small birds effects. If you special summon then activate it, you have activated the effect during the turn you special summon thus breaking the restriction on the card. The thing is evenly is a very unique card as there are no cards that work like evenly thus precedents from other cards arent flawless. On DB for example the head judges came to the conclusion that evenly will banish the small flunders fu due to the interaction between psy frame overload vs a card like battle fader that applied a similiar restriction like the flunders Another argument would be like saying they work similiar to tokens which would be you have to banish everything except the small flunders. Although as said above no ruling is flawless as they arent quite the same like evenly. i know this answer isnt satisfying. For now i would advice you to always ask the Head Judge of the event for this ruling.
There are things monsters forget or thing that stop applying when a monster is set. For example lingering effects on a monster will be "deleted" when a monster is set
If you're talking about how you activate a Floowandereeze monster's effect as Chain Link 1, and then Book of Moon as Chain Link 2, then the Floowandereeze's effect has already been activated. Monsters do not need to remain face-up to resolve an effect that has already been activated, unless they specify otherwise.
They aren't activating face down. On summon they already activated, Chain link 1 floo monster, then if you chain book, book of moon is chain link 2. Resolving the chain, it gets flipped and then you resolve the effect that is already activated. For more information, learn about chain links and different effect types.

Zombie World stops the tribute summon of non zombies. Monsters in the hand are not public knowledge, so they could be zombies potentially. Why couldn't you send zombie world off of unexplored winds to tribute summon, since sending is a cost and ZW would no longer be restricting your summons?
@@TheShadowHawks97 in ygo you cannot attempt an illegal action. If you try to tribute summon or set a non zombie under zw then that is an illegal action.
You would have already decided what monster is being "Tribute Summoned" when you send the cards for Unexplored Winds. If Zombie World were on field, then you would have to summon a Zombie.
Lol I unintentionally cheated against a Zombie player because I was only aware of ZW's first effect and he didn't remind me. If you control a Type of monster while There Can Only Be One is on the field, you CANNOT attempt to summon a monster of the same Type, even if summoning it would remove the monster on the field that shares the same Type as the one you're trying to summon. This applies to EVERY summoning method. From Yugipedia: Q: "There Can Be Only One" is face-up in my opponent's Spell & Trap Zone. In this situation, if "SPYRAL Super Agent" and "SPYRAL Quik-Fix" are face-up on my field, can I use them as material to Link Summon a "SPYRAL Double Helix"? A: While the effect of "There Can Be Only One" is applying, you cannot Link Summon a monster that has the same Type as a face-up monster already on your field. In this scenario, you cannot Link Summon "SPYRAL Double Helix". EDIT: There is ONE exception to this... if you activate the effect of something to summon that requires you to send/tribute/whatever monsters to the grave to summon (like Polymerization, a Ritual spell or Mask Change) and they flip up TCBOO in response, you can send your monster on the field to the grave, then summon a monster of the same Type as the one you sent if that was the only monster of that Type that was on the field. If TCBOO is already face-up however you cannot do this. (See the Yugipedia rulings on TCBOO and Mask Change).
@@latinoo5 No. You cannot make ANY attempts to summon a monster of the same Type as a monster on the field while TCBOO is face-up on the the field. This is also the reason you can't special summon a Kaiju by tributing an opponent's Archlord Krystia: the player themselves are restricted from performing the action, even though doing so would remove said restriction. The reason Mask Change can get around this when TCBOO is flipped in response to its activation is because you still have to resolve Mask Change as much as possible by sending the HERO monster to the grave... and at that point if it was the only Warrior Type monster, you're free to summon one. If TCBOO was face up already though you can't activate Mask Change because you can't attempt to summon another Warrior Type, and that's you're only option with it.

@@lokithehero2309 this one is just weird because all these monsters look for is the trigger; they look for if they were on the field at summon, not at resolution. But so many people fight me on it.
You won't get Ki-sikil's effect because you do not control Lil-la when its summon effect would trigger.
Could you do something over illegal activations / what constitutes as a repairable gamestate / non repairable gamestate.

What i want to know is this. If i already got veilered on for example my taia swordsoul, can i on resolution use the effect, chain book and it resolves? He did not clarify that. In a chain ik it will resolve but outside idk
Are you allowed to use unexplored winds first effect on either player’s turn?
The effect to send their cards? Yes.
I love that you mentioned zombie world
It's not about "following it to the hand" or "following it to the graveyard" it's that veiler and imperm negate effects of the monster that activate on the field, and that includes effects who's cost includes removing the monster from the field, such as by tributing it or bouncing it.

What if infinite impermanence already applied it’s negation before Book of moon applies? Is the monster effect still negated?
It is still negated. It's a weird ruling, says face down cards cannot have their effects negated, so the effect would resolve.
No the monster effect ISNT negated because modifiers (like Imperm/Veiler's lingering negation) fall off as soon as the monster is set. Since it falls off before the monster tries to resolve, there is nothing stopping it.
For example:
You normal summon Aleister, effect to add invocation.

Hey Tom Box you know what video you should make on how turn player work when play Fundereeze vs ter as an when change happened
Can I tribute set using the unexplored winds? For example, against a TCBOO and using it as one of the cards sent?
Some weird ruling about imperm is, you can target gemini monster that is treated as normal monster to negate its effect. for some reason.
unexplored winds vs geomathmech final sigma would u be able to still use it as a tribute the geomathmech final sigma?
I think it still goes through
Question: If I normal summon Robina, activate effect, opponent chains Veiler/Imperm, I chain Book of Moon, and they chain another Imperm/Veiler, how will the chain resolve?
@@MSTTV Thanks! I was confusing the Robina's negation on field with the negation of its effect. That makes sense.
Hi question, if miscellaneousaurus is being applied via its effect to make your Dino’s uneffected by activated effects. Can unexplored winds still send the monster for tribute?
yes
Why can I contact fusion with a facedown cyber dragon if it is not public knowledge if it is really a cyber dragon?
Because when you put it in the graveyard it is already public.
- Contact Fusing isn't a summon that that starts a chain, it is an action. The legality to perform the action is immediate recognized upon performing the action.
- Also you aren't applying a card effect or anything
- Your logic of cyber dragon contact fusing is the similar to as tributing a facedown winged beast monster for icarus attack, the moment you perform the action it already revealed its legality upon its cost/action.
@@vilhauered Thank you so much! I was also guessing the same and I'm happy to have more confirmation now ☺️
Banshee can protect it , since call of the haunted and zombie world have to die at the same time and that's impossible , banshee is face up until call of the haunted dies ! Which means her effect apply
Hieratic sphere still not trigger the eff ti summon if i send it with the continuous spell right?
It will not, it doesn't tribute
You will, however, triggering Waking the Dragon if you send it with the eff
So with undiscovered winds effect being clarified does it work on a monster that is just un effected by cards in general like ultimate falcon and the new beetrooper fusion? Ive been told otherwise and with this clarification it seems like what I've been told isn't the case
it will not work on ultimate falcon or anything unaffected by card effects/spells.
What about miscellaneousauras effect being applied to Dino’s to make them unaffected by activated effects?
You said that the Unexplored Winds effect being applied to a shaddoll monster will trigger it? Can you show a ruling for this? I ask because this is a replacement effect, so wouldn't the shaddoll be considered sent to the GY by game mechanics (like by being tributed for a tribute summon)?
it is sent by a card effect, since unknown winds has that "alternate tribute summoning condition" AS AN EFFECT listed on the card.
@@MSTTV Great explanation thank you!

I've already asked judges lounge but could you explain why stormforth cant be use in conjunction with unexplored winds?
Because Stormforth reads "If you would TRIBUTE a monster [...], You can TRIBUTE a monster your opponent controls". Since you do not tribute at all when using unexplored winds as Tombox explained, you cannot apply Stormforth. I hope that makes sense?
It's for the same reason that Mask of Restrict doesn't work. Monarchs Stormforth specifies tributing a monster, while Unexplored Winds sends cards without tributing them (even though it's a Tribute Summon).
Stormforth Tributes, Unxplored Winds does Not
@@VinceOfAllTrades It substitute tribute summon procedure but anyway the card would make it as it is tribute summoned normally
If I have a floowandereeze level one on fuel but it’s effect is negated and then I proceed to tribute the monster.

Infinite impermance targets necroworld banshee, and impermance resolves. On a new chain, you activate the same necroworld banshee that was on the field, you banish it, does necroworld banshee resolve or is it still negated by imperm?
It gets negated because you let imperm resolve
the effect of a card activated on the field still resolves on the field, therefor its still negated ( as it resolves on the field).
(this is not a GY trigger where a card activated when it was moved into a GY)
However, if Necroworld banshee was killed and sent to GY and then It banished itself. It would resolve and get u a ZOmbie World,
If necroworld banshee chained to Imperm, then you will get zombie world.
@@MSTTV and in the case of Shiranui Solitaire has already been negated by Veiler/ Imperm, even if it tributes itself (sent to the GY for cost), the effect to summon a 0 DEF Tuner Zombie would still be negated, am I right?

@@minhkhoao8317 Yes you are correct, if something like solitaire and rescue cat, who tributes themselves as cost, is impermed before it can do that, it will not resolve, the type that can resolve are those that can not tribute themselves for cost or is an entirely seperate effect like spheres and nerval, those if are impermed can still resolve their second effect to search

@@TheMeetymeet just had to make sure because their effects "if this face up card leaves, the field, banish it." Confused me a little since they are face down.
1. The effect to substitute tribute is NOT once per turn except the draw effect which is HOPT
2. You can send the small birb and opponent's card with this effect even under Macro/Shifter
3. For small birb it is only banished when leaves firld face-up
4. If you tribute monster such as Raiza Mega, you don't get the additional effect since you are sending your cards instead of actually tributing the mentioned attribute
5. You cannot substitute tribute unaffected tower since it is unaffected by the any other effects if it exists
6. You can send cards that doesn't allow you to tribute since you are sending cards to tribute summon instead of actually tributing for normal procedure
Such card is Summoner Monk, Eater of Millions and probably sided Mask of Restrict and Zombie World
Can you special summon as the first play on the turn and then just normal summon robina and activate its effect?
you cannot special summon the turn you activate any of the small birds effects.
If you special summon then activate it, you have activated the effect during the turn you special summon thus breaking the restriction on the card.
So if you special summon and after that activating their effects will be an illegal activation, and if you activate their effects and after that attempting a special summon will be an illegal attempt to special
No
can you use the fieldspell on pendulum monsters tho? or stuff that wouldnt go to the gy

Can we get a swordsoul ruling guide?
What’s the ruling with evenly match?
The thing is evenly is a very unique card as there are no cards that work like evenly thus precedents from other cards arent flawless.
On DB for example the head judges came to the conclusion that evenly will banish the small flunders fu due to the interaction between psy frame overload vs a card like battle fader that applied a similiar restriction like the flunders
Another argument would be like saying they work similiar to tokens which would be you have to banish everything except the small flunders.
Although as said above no ruling is flawless as they arent quite the same like evenly.
i know this answer isnt satisfying.
For now i would advice you to always ask the Head Judge of the event for this ruling.

Don't think I've came across a card as confusing as unexplored winds.
i feel like imperm not saying face up is way different then effect veiler, it should negate, kinda dumb that it doesn’t through book of moon.
There are things monsters forget or thing that stop applying when a monster is set.
For example lingering effects on a monster will be "deleted" when a monster is set
Set monsters typically cannot be have their effects negated.
New player - still confused how the flundereeze monsters can activate their effects after their face down the book of moon?
If you're talking about how you activate a Floowandereeze monster's effect as Chain Link 1, and then Book of Moon as Chain Link 2, then the Floowandereeze's effect has already been activated. Monsters do not need to remain face-up to resolve an effect that has already been activated, unless they specify otherwise.
They aren't activating face down.
On summon they already activated,
Chain link 1 floo monster, then if you chain book, book of moon is chain link 2.
Resolving the chain, it gets flipped and then you resolve the effect that is already activated.

Zombie World stops the tribute summon of non zombies. Monsters in the hand are not public knowledge, so they could be zombies potentially. Why couldn't you send zombie world off of unexplored winds to tribute summon, since sending is a cost and ZW would no longer be restricting your summons?
Unless the monster summoned and the ZW are moving simultaneously?
@@TheShadowHawks97 in ygo you cannot attempt an illegal action. If you try to tribute summon or set a non zombie under zw then that is an illegal action.
You would have already decided what monster is being "Tribute Summoned" when you send the cards for Unexplored Winds. If Zombie World were on field, then you would have to summon a Zombie.
Cannot attempt a restricted action. The attempt is not allowed.
Lol I unintentionally cheated against a Zombie player because I was only aware of ZW's first effect and he didn't remind me. So I 2-0ed him before he was like, "uhhhh how did you tribute summon that". So we decided to basically redo game 2 which I lost but still clapped him game 3. Gotta actually watch out for ZW's second effect now.
Unexplored winds vs there can only be one?
If you control a Type of monster while There Can Only Be One is on the field, you CANNOT attempt to summon a monster of the same Type, even if summoning it would remove the monster on the field that shares the same Type as the one you're trying to summon. This applies to EVERY summoning method.
From Yugipedia:
Q: "There Can Be Only One" is face-up in my opponent's Spell & Trap Zone.
If my opponent has a face up there can only be one can i send it to the grave with unexplored winds?
