I genuinely have no idea what they were doing with those patches. I didn't even realize they changed the passive at first but after trying the game yesterday I could literally feel something was wrong.. I'm not even a pro or anything but my orbs need work but I could consistently win 1v1s with tracers as long as I use fade to juke and heal orb. Yesterday I just... couldn't anymore. I had a 1v1 that lasted 23 seconds on numbani with a tracer that flanked all the way back to first point. Three heal orbs, a fade juke, and she still won. Genjis dive even more now because they know Moira's self heal is basically aesthetic. It just feels miserable to play as anything other that turtling with the team and healbotting the whole time
It's funny Lucio got compensatory buffs to his self healing but Moira got fuck all. Moira feels even worse this patch. But god forbid you complain about it, lest all the "Moira takes no skill" gamers come out of the woodwork to remind you they've never really played the hero.
The thing Moira needs is her identity back. She needs a higher skill ceiling. And she needs her most fun playstyle, the offtank, back. I think giving targets that receive healing a bit of dmg reduction to ignore the dps passive and giving targets that are being attacked by Moira a reduction to their dmg output is the best way of accomplishing that. The numbers can be tweaked, of course. This would A: Insentivice and reward bouncing an orb well so it heightens her skill ceiling while keeping her skill floor low. B: Revert the massive nerf tank Moira got through the dps passive, since dmg reduction isnt affected by the passive. C: Reward her design more by her being the "One hand gives, the other hand takes away" Hero. You can stack both dmg output reduction and dmg taken reduction, so effectively, using your entire kit is more rewarding. D: Make her resource more important to manage and use effectively. Juggling between healing and damaging would have a bigger impact and would further increase her skill ceiling. This would also have the positive side effect of increasing her risk when making decisions, so another layer of skill expression is added. E: Make Coal be a better designed ultimate, damaging and healing being both more important to do at the same time would increase how her hero fantasy and the hero fantasy of her ult feel. F: Make Moiras area denial more impactful. A widow or Sojurn don't have to fear damage orbs, but them decreasing their damage dealt would actually be important to play around. Yeah, and don't touch fade. It's got a great skill floor and ceiling and is fitting extremely well into Moiras kit.
Are you suggesting they put dmg reduction on the primary fires? It didn't work when they put it on damage orb. But it could be an interesting idea, like a stacking reduction/increase to help reward good actions per minute or whatever they call it. So tap heal and do damage /tap damage heal would be more rewarding than Moira's that just hold a button. But Imo a simple change that would help Moira's skill ceiling a lot is a slight rework to the orbs. Right now Moira's abilities are both low cooldowns and spammable which isn't great for her skill floor to encourage like locking areas down and better/more punishing orb placement they could say double the capacity of the orb, increase how long it lasts and increase the cooldown. Say it lasts 10 and has 12 second cooldowns. The orbs have needed a capacity buff anyway. Could also add that players can shoot them since they are maybe too dangerous in rooms otherwise, either way this takes someone out of the fight shooting the orb, ie shooting it would deal damage and take away capacity equal to that damage. Which would also add a tech that Moira could hide her head hitbox in an orb.
They see how much players love the classic overwatch experience and wants to control healing numbers down to 2000 per match. They might as well just turn this game into CSO.
From the start since 5v5 was introduced it was always about how fast you eliminate your opponents. Healbots wont win you games, zen, Ana debuffs are crucial in fights. If support can’t dps you lost half of the fights.
Them boosting the passive was an awful idea, I’m loosing matches because of one or two hits and my supports are indeed healing but it doesn’t matter because of the boost
New Moira Passive: Succ Succ Punch Your quick melee attacks can now be charged. If you charge it for 1 second, it deals an extra 40 damage, heals you for 40 damage and applies anti-heal for 3 seconds. Can only hold full charge for 1 second.
Personally, I like to play support to heal-bot! I love doing big healing numbers, but with these patches, is like they're trying to push for a more DPS/Support playstile. What is the reason to play Moira now? Or Lifeweaver? Even Mercy, healing a tank with the passive up is a struggle! Nice work Blizzard lol.

As someone with over 100 hours on her, she takes no skill. Stop being delusional
@@mousetrap4751she definitely doesn’t take a lot of skill but u can still make her look like she does
@@mousetrap4751 nobody was saying she's more skillful than other supports. You missed the point
She got a buff the patch before to her self healing…
Another season of moira and weaver being absolute doggy doo-doo 😔
Skill ceiling now matches value given
You gathered from this video that Moira is “doo-doo”? Did we watch the same video?
And mercy
@@Doomthepixarkidhe is high rank 😂
Lifeweaver got absolutely decimated this patch.
@@Vermillion808 lifeweaver got decimated the second he was a hero in this game
Gotta love never being able to heal a tank as a healer. They might as well just delete healers from the game at this point.

Scarlet Witch makes me realize I wish Moira had a skill shot.
1000%
I don’t think she will get one, she was meant to be an easy to pick up hero for beginners. Maybe I’m wrong.
@@rvgrI agree, low level entry but hard to master. That said, with these nerfs, a skill shot would be welcome in my book.

Crazy survival skills on that second point
can someone explain to me how they almost lost the match that ended at minute 26? on paper it looks like they just decimated them.
52:23 haha even i would be jabaited :D
no wonder i’ve been on a terrible loss streak dps passive got bugged again
That Doom in the last game....
I would love to see you play wanda tbh

tried to play like you tonight - 2/2 wins, 2 potgs, most dmg and kills in my team
Winter maps are the best! Hush you! (though I understand your ire)
Won’t be touching this game until they make Moira viable again. I’d wear that T-shirt. Def not buying the battle pass this season.

Healbotting doesn’t win you games , it never did
Good luck heal botting, only feeding enemy ultimates.
