Aga counting the reps in Polish was a nice touch. This was a fun video. I remember watching Marius compete when i was a kid. My time watching WSM almost perfectly overlapped with his run.
A few months ago, I started noticing how my energy and motivation were fading, and it really hit me that my unhealthy eating habits and low testosterone were playing a huge role in it. I stumbled upon a book called ‘You Are Stronger Than You Think’ by Borlest, and it completely shifted my perspective. It talks about how both your diet and hormones can seriously impact your progress, and it honestly made me rethink a lot. I’ve been applying some of the tips, and I’m already feeling more driven and focused on improving myself. Just thought I’d share in case anyone else is feeling stuck like I was
Thats why its annoying to see that when you look for materials about strongmen apparently only max lifts are important. Ofc this is bullshit but because of it many struggle to acknowledge "small" Pudzianowski
This was cool. I've watched a few strong men events just randomly and its always interesting seeing guys pushing the absolute limit. Great Job on this one dudes!!!
This brought me back to 20 years ago! Back then, I was just a buff teen starting my fitness journey. On the weekends, I would watch the WSM competitions on TV before going to the gym. I was blown away by Mariusz combination of power, atheleticism, versatility, and intensity, not to mention his incredible physique. Watching him perform was the most anabolic pre-workout I could take! A few years later when UA-cam came around, one of the first videos I watched was Mariusz doing this overhead presses in the gym. I couldn't believe his strength, or how he let the weight crash down onto his back. I also remember his diet was insane; everyday he ate pounds of sausage and chocolate. He truly was one of a kind.
You misspoke regarding the IFSA. It no longer exists. Also despite the controversy, Mariusz DID compete against Shaw and Zydrunas many times and defeated them many times.
Long torsos, short limbs, wide pelvis bones. thick calves/soleus and High percentage of slow twitch muscle fibers. It's genetic. Flip all those and that's why blacks hold the speed records.
@rang123yea5 Orientals have longer torsoes, shorter limbs, wider pelvis's and relatively thicker calves. Muscle fibre type wise Europeans are not predominantly slow twitch and neither are Orientals, that seems to peak in East Africa.
I just want to say that I really, really appreciate this video. Thank you for covering a big part of Polish strogman history with Mariusz Pudzianowski stories and awesome training routines. Ciepłe pozdrowienia dla Agnieszki i dla Was Panowie!
A tip for the cameraman: you don't have to follow the movement of the guys squatting up and down. It only makes people dizzy. Instead, stand back a little so you can cover all of the action without having to follow their movements.
I flew to Germany over 20 years ago. had jet lag. at 2AM on the tv was a strongman competition. It was a team competition, there was Maiusz and one of his teammates a guy named Jarek. was an instant fan and will never forget.
I don't care what anyone say, WSM is the hallmark of strenght. Arnold's is mostly about raw strenght, static, but what does static strenght give you IRL?? The real strenght is not about lifting something off the ground. The real strenght is lifting it and MOVING it around, actually applicable IRL, and in this field Mariusz is the strongest to this day.
I remember watching Magnus Ver Magnuson when I was a kid. 4 years in a row, then Mariusz came along and I was blown away. I couldn't understand how he did it with his physique.
I feel like the events during Marius' era were better than now, if you want to see static strength you might as well just watch power lifting. Marius had functional strength that could translate better into the real world. I feel epople disrespect him too much nowadays, if I had to choose between looking like Eddie Hall and Marius it would be Marius 10/10 times. Strongmen now can barely breathe while walking...
The events are mostly the same, just a bit heavier. If you don't want heavy, watch CrossFit. Mitch, Pavlo, oleksi, mateusz, evan, to name a few. Look nothing like Eddie or big z, still top tier strongmen
You clearly don't watch strongman. They still have movement events, they're just heavier. OH and after doing a max deadlift for example. Look up "strongest man on earth" to see the events and weights.
This cool be a cool series if you would start from the early beginnings of strongman and showing off vintage training exercises or lifts and going all the way to the modern day.
Hudson had a clear advantage in this competition... He has that newfound DAD-STRENGTH he uses! So repeat this competition when Brandon also unlocks that power haha
Big z, Brian shaw , Eddie hall , Haftor bjornson, Mitchell hooper in there prime are all stronger than Mariusz in his prime. He is still a specimen of a man but he won a lot of shows in a era where the comp favored lighter and faster strongman. Than is why he never won the arnold classic because it is a heavy show. Still a big fan of Mariusz
When MP gets the critique of not having the static strength, it reminds me of some strongman (Big Loz maybe???) saying that athleticism and endurance have always been part of strongman and if people wanted exclusively static events to just go watch powerlifting.
sry guys but Shaws the real deal, not taking anything away from mariusz but shaw set numerous world records, won 4x WSM and many other titiles, and won strongest man on earth beating out the 2 main WSM title holders in tom stoltman and mitch hooper, Shaws potentially the strongest man that ever lived, also of note he's only one of 3 guys to press 800lbs+ (julius maddox and gym reaper being the other 2) and deadlift over 1100lb's as well (obviously eddie hall and thor being the other 2)
Naaah. Big Z is the real deal. Sure, Marius has more titles in WSM, but there were some things at the time that made it that he didn't have much of the competition in some of those wins.
Would have loved to see you do his diet too, meaning you would have eaten several hundred grams of candies and chocolates every day on top of a ton of protein-high foods :D
Aga counting the reps in Polish was a nice touch. This was a fun video. I remember watching Marius compete when i was a kid. My time watching WSM almost perfectly overlapped with his run.
Love that they are married and Happy
I know people say this about muscular guys alot, but Mariusz _actually_ looks like he's straight out of Warhammer 40K
Or Gears of War 😂
I had to google Warhammer tbh
And he would eat massive amounts of candy daily, just several hundreds of grams of sugar. He said that was his way of always feeling energetic.

Thank you for sharing...can relate
Thank you
I'd like to see you guys do something with Brian Shaw and Eddie Hall.
We want successful strongman, least real fans of the sport.
Shaw, Big Z, Thor, Tom Stoltman and of course Hooper.
Holy shit yes please!
The Buff Dudes are the best at making this channel not only entertaining, but also educational for those who want to stay fit
What made Pudzian so impressive was not only his strength, but his speed and condition.
Thats why its annoying to see that when you look for materials about strongmen apparently only max lifts are important. Ofc this is bullshit but because of it many struggle to acknowledge "small" Pudzianowski
Mariusz is one of the GOATs 💪 Strong AF but also quite fast for his size and overall athletic.
Yeah, his agility was what made him stand out from the rest, imo. Not necessarily his strength.
💪🇵🇱POLSKA GUROM! 🇵🇱✌️
Nawet gdyby przypieli ten komentarz to nic by to nie dalo
Chciałem dać ten sam komentarz, ale to by nic nie dało bo on w kulach był pierwszy.
Polish Power
CD Project Red🎉 ♥️ 😅
That squat warmup was a whole workout 😂
8 warmup sets? Most people would feel that they got their workout in at that point.
Jak oglądam ich z 10 lat to tego się nie spodziewałem :D
to by nic nie dało
Love You Guys! Cheers from Poland!!! POLSKA!!! 💪💪💪
This was cool. I've watched a few strong men events just randomly and its always interesting seeing guys pushing the absolute limit. Great Job on this one dudes!!!
Your films are always amazing and very creative!
Mariusz was and still is a beast. In our polish lore and memes he is like a mythical hero.
STAY BUFF
Kurna finally! Very good video.
This is like going back to childhood guys, dziękuje wam bardzo! Poska górą!
Hudson and the kiddos in the background was adorable.

The best content to watch on my lunch! Learning from you guys constantly. Keep up the great work.
It's good to see all of you staying on good shape :)
Kind regards from Poland.
its almost comical seeing a young Brian Shaw contrasting his current size. lol
detractors you always get them. He lifted stuff most people could move let alone life and worked as what was required to win
You misspoke regarding the IFSA. It no longer exists. Also despite the controversy, Mariusz DID compete against Shaw and Zydrunas many times and defeated them many times.
Polish, Russian, Icelandic... strong af people. Always dominant in strong man
And the UK
The Russians have never won a WSM title. At the moment it's the British that are dominating.
Russians were dominant in the sport of weightlifting, but never strongman
I just want to say that I really, really appreciate this video. Thank you for covering a big part of Polish strogman history with Mariusz Pudzianowski stories and awesome training routines. Ciepłe pozdrowienia dla Agnieszki i dla Was Panowie!
Hudson is a beast!
Stay Buff
You too Admiral! 💪
Pozdrowienia z Polski! :) Greetings from Poland Buff Dudes! :)

More Bro vs Bro contests!!! Swimming and biking next or Olympic Lifts or power Lifts?
Epic! Hats off to you both!
Mariusz will always be my all time favorite strength athlete. Pudzian Power!!!
Mariusz is the reason why I love conditioning with heavy weights and the reason why I know Strongman. He is HIM!!
I flew to Germany over 20 years ago. had jet lag. at 2AM on the tv was a strongman competition. It was a team competition, there was Maiusz and one of his teammates a guy named Jarek. was an instant fan and will never forget.

Hudson's looking really healthy! Brandon's recovery looks on track, too. Keep going, guys 💪🏻
He looked like a bodybuilder too.
That testosterone diet paid off!
He was/is called Dominator
Vince Gironda 36 egg a day diet next challenge! 😅
Great video!!!!!!!!!! Pudzianowski was an all-around athlete. strength, stamina and endurance. 6 feet tall, other strongmen are 6'5"
Freakin' Hudson man!! Was cooking in that competition! Holy shiiit!!!
I remember watching Magnus Ver Magnuson when I was a kid. 4 years in a row, then Mariusz came along and I was blown away. I couldn't understand how he did it with his physique.
I'm learning Polish so I recognized those numbers Aga was counting easily.
🇵🇱 🇵🇱 🇵🇱 🇵🇱 💪 💪
Pudzian 🐐 Polska Gurom!!
Dudes, thank for video about Polish LEGEND
How do you not mention Mitch Hooper?
6x15 is a legitimately impressive amount of pull ups to do. You guys both look well over 200 lbs too. Respect 👊🏻
Absolute legend
I feel like the events during Marius' era were better than now, if you want to see static strength you might as well just watch power lifting. Žydrūnas Savickas is the undisputed goat! Mariusz is way up there tho
Saw a video of Mariuzs ATG squatting almost 800lbs for reps. Mind blowing tendon durability.
Great viedo, greetings from Poland
POLSKA GUROM!!!!!!
More strongman stuff please!
BUFF AND STRONG AS HELL DUDES!! 🔥🔥🔥
Regardless of who the stronger brother was, the fact that they could even do the mini strongman training at the end was impressive
Great boys 👍👍keep it up 💪 💪
You have guests too😂❤ 5:10
Our lil Buff Kids in training 💪🧒🏼
i need her to count my reps like that 😍
I suspect you might be able to get Mitch Hooper to collab on a follow-up to this video - now that would be entertaining . . .
12:30 Where did you find that huge cannonball? Some historic site is short one now because it will be better used in a Buff Dude video.
This cool be a cool series if you would start from the early beginnings of strongman and showing off vintage training exercises or lifts and going all the way to the modern day.
POLAND MENTIONED!!!!!
Always fun content, 💗
Great memories, i turned the tv on and there it was this monster vía ESPN
just me or has Brandon been cutting aggressively?
He was sick for a while, that might have contributed. But Hudson also looks bigger than ever.
Mariusz is the forever best strong man ever for me
If these guys ever stop posting I might just loose it.
Way to go Hudson!
That was the original Buff Dude xD
Hudson had a clear advantage in this competition... He has that newfound DAD-STRENGTH he uses! So repeat this competition when Brandon also unlocks that power haha
Polska siła 🇵🇱
Thanks guys for this episode 👍
No mention of Zydrunas Savickas in the first 5 seconds of the video is a crime. In fact he is considered the GOAT of strongmen by majority of people.
Pudzian or get out
Like he doesnt have enough mentions already... xD
Chill out, theres space for all the strongmen on the web. This vid happens to be about Pudzilla.
@@MntRprznt in a list of the greatest strongmen he has to be mentioned. it's like talking about the greats of basketball and not mentioning Jordan.
STFU, always one of you trolls
@meatbasedvegan4859
😂😂😂
As a guy with a lot of Polish friends, it was funny hearing Hudson pronouncing the G in Agnieska.
Sick video
I thought she was cussing when she started counting 😄
Since the heart is the most important muscle in the body, endurance had better be part of the competition.
Polska Guuuurom!!
*Bill Kazmeier has entered the chat*
The Mountain will break all of the records.
Super. Greetings from Polish
yey Hudson win a competition against his brother
The ending 😂
Big Z is the greatest!
Good try on the video though 👏 👏 👏
Big z, Brian shaw , Eddie hall , Haftor bjornson, Mitchell hooper in there prime are all stronger than Mariusz in his prime. He is still a specimen of a man but he won a lot of shows in a era where the comp favored lighter and faster strongman. Than is why he never won the arnold classic because it is a heavy show. Still a big fan of Mariusz
I wish you would actually do the colab...
We tried to contact him but he must not be checking his messages very often :D
When MP gets the critique of not having the static strength, it reminds me of some strongman (Big Loz maybe???) saying that athleticism and endurance have always been part of strongman and if people wanted exclusively static events to just go watch powerlifting.
He got beat in static strength lifts because he didn't carry as much bodyweight as the others.
Brothers White: could you film yourselves trying the Shaolin Monk's kung fu workouts?? Those guys are MONSTER Tough and INSANE!
Cool video. I’m actually in Kraków right now until February any suggestions of what I should not miss…just did the salt mines today. 🇵🇱
I have a feeling he might be up for a collab
sry guys but Shaws the real deal, not taking anything away from mariusz but shaw set numerous world records, won 4x WSM and many other titiles, and won strongest man on earth beating out the 2 main WSM title holders in tom stoltman and mitch hooper, Shaws potentially the strongest man that ever lived, also of note he's only one of 3 guys to press 800lbs+ (julius maddox and gym reaper being the other 2) and deadlift over 1100lb's as well (obviously eddie hall and thor being the other 2)

Fellas I know it's a stretch you see this, but I'm worried about DIY Duke. No upload in over a year. Is everything okay?
What I would give to find a gym exactly like this in Denver.
VAR in atlas stone please
Strong man with endurance is much more practical. Vs big heavy lift where it's way more dangerous/injurous.
Would have loved to see you do his diet too, meaning you would have eaten several hundred grams of candies and chocolates every day on top of a ton of protein-high foods :D
Idk about you guys, but I really appreciate the Polish accent! 🎶👂
JESTEM POLAKIEM I JEM KOTLETY SCHABOWE ❤❤❤
I miss the old version of Brandon, because he looked like Arnold
the blode guy is gonna tear a bicep if he keeps handling stones like that.
