agreed. I pick gt games over all other but they do not do very well with realistic car sounds. project cars was trash but that sounds like a corvette actually. id know cause I have a vette of my own lol. still buying gt sport when it drops.
i remember last year around april, when polyphony said: "we need more time so we can improve the sound as well as all the other things." and they also announced to hire new sound engineers and stuff. Where is all that? Sam sad. but sam definitely buying GT. I need my Nordschleife, verflucht nochmal.
WARVANE I think the reason for that is they actually use realistic sounds while other games edit them to make the car sound better

Wait a second - those two corvette C7Rs are different designs!
Take a look at the back bumper & the paint!
Those 2 corvettes either are a different classes on their own racing series or different models in years with different restrictions on the same class of the racing series.
Looks may be one thing, But I daily drive a C7 and Project Cars sounds more authentic. Also, PC driver view through the windshield looks more realistic with the hood flair on the sides. GT Sport has a more flat hood line, which is unlike any C7 I've ever driven, race-inspired or not.
I daily drive a C5 with B&B PRT axle-back, and I think GTS has better sound, its just a bit more muffled than you'd expect from a race car for the in-car (and needs the volume turned up loud on a good stereo), where as project cars is louder and has more impactful EQ for TV speakers.
GTS sounds more natural, PC sounds more impactful.
I played this video on Klipsch surround sound and project cars still sounds way more authentic.

I fail to see how this statement accounts for missing sound. I could see if the GT race car had additional noise such as cams, turbos, supercharge, etc, but the iconic exhaust note is straight up missing in GT. Daily driving a C7 and listening to any other C7 in any condition, that exhaust note is very noticeable. PC has those sounds and GT simply does not.
Boneloaf Gotta please the masses. I think people want to listen to a lie in a game, a realistic sounding gearbox in this Vette would bleed your ears out.

Geez. Polyphony will NEVER get car sounds right. It's in their DNA. PCARS and Forza car sounds are just on a totally different level of quality.
In PCars you can hear the chassis twitching and the suspension working even on straights. Because that's what you heard in a race car. It's completely stripped and the car actually "talks" to you, telling you, how "he" feels!!
Only people that drove or had a ride in a race car, can understand this. Race cars has nothing to do with road ones...
That's where PCars is very strong (sound comparing). Looking forward for "part 2"!!
I don't even care about the comparison , seeing how much improved the sound of the Corvette in PC has become . It literally sounded like fartcans in earlier builts

To all of you complaining about the whine of the straight cut gears, search for "M3 Nurburgring Hans". Straight cut gears are loud.
After playing GT4, GT5, Dirt Rally, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, and a few other games, I still think Dirt Rally has all of these topped...

GT Sport= Whine simulator 2017... I know it's the straight cut gears but the whine is just to loud. You can't even hear the V8 and the interior is also too dark and sketchy
Nicolai Svane The straight cut's problem is always on the noise. If you don't believe me, check the M3 GTR (At least its in the interior, idk on the outside).

Nobody ever seems to realize that GT simulates what you would hear with a helmet on the inside of car. If it sounds more muffled it's because it is, versus piping the chase-cam sounds into the car like every other game.
FAULT LINE You are right about the muffled sound from inside the car. That is realistic but the straight cut transmission sounds are still way to loud.
I think the guys of GT Sport never heard a C7.R in real life!! Sounds like a VW Golf. There is no dirt in the engine sound, no cracking, no bubbling when going off the throttle... GT always lacked in engine sounds, it seems it still lacks even in the latest version!
I really like where project cars is taking the racing genre, in the cockpit view you see the hood of the car parts move, more details , the way the car reflects wear n tear over a race, GT always made me think u are driving these cars that are just there. Like the cars have no life to them. Like an art museum for racing. When you race even if it's a game u want that "real" feel and experience. With GT I never feel that. The sense of speed, the grunt of the engine, the way the cars behave, the problem with GT it's soulless.
Boy that is really close. Been playing GT4 lately and it felt like that had more track detailing than GTs. I like GTs atmosphere, but it's too smoothed over. PC has jaggies for sure, but only because they bothered to stick all those details in there. Really close. Basically the same game to me coming from GT4.
Maybe it's just compression or something in this video but to me GTS looked more blurrier than PCARS which I have and know looks great.

not especially the biggest fan of GT but there's no denying how good it looks in terms of authentic lighting. It's got everything bear in this area. Polyphony has also simulated to perfection the physics of subtle vibration motion of the car moving- it's present in most driving games these days but is horribly off in all but GT
What's the point of the onboard view without correct steering wheel angle in GTS? Those who play GTS dosn't care about physics or handling at all, so swingman view is just enough
PJC's Engine overpowers the sound of the transmissions, GTS's Transmissions overpowers the sound of the engine.

Idk project cars ... is kicking GT sports ass in sound for sure... if you have ever heard that corvette in real life you would know what I'm talking about! It's the loudest most raw sounding car on the track! Way to refined in GT sport... sounds great in project cars...and graphics and realism... why are the rear lights red in GT sport? Little details like that are important... also the lighting in GT sport is like non existant the car is so flat and the roads are flat as well but in project cars you see cracks tire skid and texture... very disappointed in GT sport...

The GT-S Corvette is not the official GTE, IMSA GT-LM Corvette C7R, but rather their own model based on the real C7R. The GT-S C7R has a different diffuser and fascia, with larger fog-lamps than the real one. Being so keen on details, you'd think you'd notice this?
Sssstupid kid gts took a turn. I bought it yesterday and am returning it tomorrow because of its internet required features. I also heard that singleplayer is shit.

The advantage of Project Cars against GT is the fact that the PC has
always a better system than consoles. Anyway, look for the reflection
details on Pcars, light over the road, draw distance, depth of field,

is the best, but you must have a strong PC to experience that. One of

I am never going to get over how stupid the drivers hands look in GTS cockpit view. I never see racers rest their thumbs like that.
Project cars has bad antilasing and lighting. GT seems to look alittle saturated but that might be from hdr dynamic lighting working to simulate an overcast effect. It also seems as thought Project Cars doesnt have the physics Gt does which is ultimately the question for any racing sim.
Project Cars on console? This game has plenty of console problems, but not on PC. On PC this is the best looking racing game out there.

GT Sport has a better UI but Project Cars has GT beat in graphics and sound. Such a shame GT used to be the best. I'm holding out for reviews to see how the handling physics are until release, can't tell by watching videos.

IMO Project Cars looks and SOUNDS are better. But GT has always had much better physics and is closest to the real feeling of driving. GT needs desperately to enhance its sounds engine.

@madcaesars1i forgot to say that Assetto Corsa doens't have 1000 cars either, but AC > any GT. GT will never reach the level of physics and FFB that AC has, and physics+FFB > number of cars
As you can see from the video, GT is still living in the last gen era, far far behind any modern racing game. With games like Dirt 4 and Project Cars 2 for this year, you have to be blind and deaf you buy this beta version of game called GT Sport.

IMO, one of GT'S biggest problems is that nasty, stiff 3rd person view. I get why some people like it, so I'd like there to be options. If you like it, fine, keep it on, but it just makes the driving feel like I'm stuck on rails.

i think gt sport has better detail but its too dark compared to project cars. i played project cars and coyldnt get into it. but i have put hundreds of hours into gt 5 & 6. also who knows how pc2 will look
Ok @ 00:27 anyone noticed PC steering input vs GT steering input to go around that corner. How GT cars turn that corner with a slight steering turn😂. You know you suck when you're a game that's in you the 13th installment overall and 7th installment in main series of a company that makes racing game and you're getting compared to a games that's in its 1st installment....and you're barely winning. I mean pause it and look at both through the windshield and see the environment scale of PC which looks so much mor to real life scaling relative to the size the car should be. Look at the clarity in car. Listen to the sound. GT has better graphics overall but that it.....oh and it's easier to drive because PC really didn't make it for D- pad users.

Project Cars lighting is sub par, and PCars 2 looks very similar. Assetto Corsa has a very realistic look, it reminds me of Gran Turismo.
I see plenty of comments regarding GT Sports dark cockpits. When the sunlight shines through, lighting everything up, that's super realistic.

RC Car Club GT Sport looks bad. Also, only in GT can you slam into cars at 130 mph in a corner to gain position with barely any damage whatsoever. GT Sport is a joke.

RC Car Club 4K actually makes the 2D trees stick out like a sore thumb. I'm thoroughly disappointed with the beta, tbh. It just feels so boring compared to Forza 6 or Asseto Corsa.

That analogy is flawed. FPS beta's have beta gun sounds just like gt sport has a beta version for engine sounds. Unlike your analogy gt sport has engine sounds, and it's better than the rest of the series. You can't say that it's like having a beta fps not having gun sounds because the beta of gt sport has engine sounds. If anything you mean that it's like having gun sounds that don't fit the models of guns that are in a fps. I.e. Having an ak47 sound like a BB gun or a sniper rifle sound like a underpowered assault rifle.
igotapk i meant that in a fps beta they don't include fake sounds, they are pretty much the real one. it's just the fact that people now say it's beta but some things can't really be changed cuz it's too late now. the developers will polish it but don't expect something totally different from beta to full.

I wish I was the owner of he gran turismo franchise. It's funny seeing everyone hate in gran turismo, but still know that this is where sim racing started for console players. We're all human, but damn! where's the respect? You guys know that there's more to the game than just the negatives. Negative, negative, and negatives. You guys are like It's too dark, engine sounds are shit, gt sucks, and etc. it'd be a real mental challenge for most of you to compliment anything without pointing out the flaws. That's human nature, but being negative over games that advanced from PS1 really shows how spoiled you all are. Ooo the engine sounds are bad WOW, it's too dark 0MG, and more negatives. I mean i understand to a point, but this video isn't using GT sports recent footage that has better lighting and sounds. This game however will be better for console players that want sportsmanship. They have ratings for online driver, and they have a progression system for online players from what i understand.You guys really should look up videos about their improvements and engines theyre using 4 the game instead of watching comparison videos just to leave negative comments knowing that you guys still have love 4 Gran Turismo.
