Chris my little brother who was 28 years old passed away in a motorcycle accident and I was asked to cut his hair in which I said yes of course i flew from Albany NY to Birmingham Alabama and drove 2 and a half hrs after the plan landed to be with my family when I went to cut my little brothers hair I had noticed he had a b is for build tee-shirt on and I was so excited to know we both follow u and I just wanted u to know that was his favorite shirt and he is buried with that and that is and honor sir thankyou for making my brother smile and giving him a drive to wanna tinker with cars he has a 7 series bwm he wanted to put a lift kit on it and honigan it out as he would say lol Chris i wonder if in his honor u would like to get his car from mississipi alabama border line and do it up in his honor that would be a blessing for his now widowed wife my sister n law to remember him by anyways keep doing what u are doing we all love it
I'm pretty sure the bent framerails by the rear suspension mounting points make it more trouble than it's worth. The good news is there is a healthy LS motor in that car and a 1st gen Camaro in his back yard...
AbominableJoshie nah just back half it. Then clip the front... wouldn't be hard at all. He'd basically be making a pre runner, just car based.. Use long travel truck stuff in the front, and 4 link solid axle the rear. (Way easier than custom IRS)
That's a massive fabrication undertaking. I think it's a sweet idea, but it's probably left for someone who would actually use a prerunner Corvette kart. I would just estimate any further work on this car to be extremely unlikely. A twin turbo LS swapped 1st gen Camaro is a totally different story.
And you know what's great about the off road Vette? Leroy was running 1000 hp through stock axles and drag radials, those big wheels will pose no problem.
Just stop by at RPM Transmissions and have it built, faceplated, short throw converted and painted red white and blue. It'll probably blow after the Gambler.
To solve the dust in the cab issue simply remove the windshield. The windshield is causing cavitation in the cab which is pulling the dust to the dash then circulating in the pocket created by the airflow over the windshield. With it removed the dust should simply pass through the car.
Hey chris! Thank you for showing the gambler 500! Its very nice to see a group of the car community that actually get together and have fun with their crazy builds!
Just found you through my suggested page. Wish I had known about your channel when I happened across your cars parked at The Mowhawk while I was on my own road trip that year. This is a very cool discovery.
If you get serious about the VetteKart going off-road...please change the engine air intake to feed from high (snorkel kit) instead of from the bottom. The smallest puddle could cause much consternation. Looks great and fun.👍
You ( and the BIFB- Team) build Two very cool cars for that event. The Vette- cart and OTIS look killer. The dust would be a bit much for me but it could have also been rainy oregon, both not good for doorless and roofless cars. Sure looked like fun :)
Very good video, it looked like both cars were performing great out there. Wish I had realised you were looking for people to run with saturday morning.
Top vid Chris, makes me wish I lived in the US not 5000 miles away. ☹️ I’m sure you have more footage... what about an extended ‘directors cut’ version. Enjoy your break 👍
Awesome as ever Chris. Both cars looked the dogs. Have a good break 🎡🏰🎢🎠 you deserve it with all the hard work you’ve put in over the past weeks. Looking forward to you being back on the 240z soon. 👍🏻👊🏻👌🏻
I feel like the merces just ended up being a minimalist build. There could have been more in the front and sides, especially if the OTIS was your inspiration. But the Vette is neato.
So, where is the vette now? I really want to see more of that thing. I live in a city, don't ever get out anywhere, have no money for projects, but I REALLY want one so bad! Please post more content! Also, any other fans that see this and feel my pain, let me know if you know of any other content that helps scratch this itch, please! Sometimes vicarious living is the best we can get.
Audiwan Kenobi Audiwan Kenobi I don't like a lot of the slang people use today(More specifically abbreviations to sentences like "y u gtta b lik dat", I find it silly as it seems you do. But when I first heard the word bae in like 2012 or something like that the people that I knew used it as an acronym for before anyone else, but also would use it as a synonym for babe/baby. Also that argument is stupid because the Danish spell it as bæ not bae but have read that is how they would spell it on an English keyboard so unless he is actually typing in Danish your argument is invalid.
Audiwan Kenobi I'm sorry that such a short message is too much for your tiny brain to read lmao... I imagine the only books you read are children's picture books, they're probably easier for you to comprehend. I pointed out several factors as to why bae does not inherently have the definition of poop but you keep telling yourself what you want there bud.

Chelsea has so much chill to go along with you guys 😂
agreed!!
A project down the road should be Eric making the vette buggy as stout as a baja truck and go chase baja next year. #BisforBuild
Making race legal to race the NORRA 1000!!
#BisforBaja !

I actually think that'd be a great idea, surprised no one's jumped on it tbh
Yo please tell me they took it
Fabricate some real offroad suspension for the vette buggy
Agreed, don't let the vet die! Lift it up and make some fender flare/mud flaps. This build is too cool to give up on

9:35, best moment when he fails and then you casually look over to see a van wedged in there doing a burnout🤣
hilarious
Jenkins and Otis survived the Gambler. Everyone got really dusty. Much fun was had. Good times.
Brilliant fun + well done Chelsea for putting up with all the dust - Excellent.
Man this rocks! I need to do this next year! Looks so fun.

the vette buggy is really cool, looks like an RC car. offroad suspension and a supercharger would make that thing rip hard af

The Corvette buggy ended up so damn cool! I love it!

Very cool! Glad you made videos on this. Thanks for all the hard work, Chris and team!

Glad to see you guys having fun and taking a break. Gambler cars came out great! Cheers!
Absolutely love the corvette, and the merc looks a bit modern mad max covered in dust!
The vet look so good! With AWD and off road suspension would be awesome!
The 'Vette cart looks too dang good to stop putting in work on it. Keep that build going and make it a true beast!
Stay Blessed
Great cars, great vid, great people, thanks for coming out. B is for Bad Asses.
9:27 LOL SO HARD. Outta nowhere this party animal is doing a sitter nosed into the wall sideways.
I could watch you drive around the built cars all day Chris !

Far Cry 5 looks sick.
Hi Chris I hope to see you back asap. Your videos are something I look forward to
Sick AF build! It was awesome camping next to you guys ( we were the Punisher Vic behind ya)
Makes me want to move to Portland seeing the sort of cars you can get away with on the roads over there.

1:11 Chelsea love you so much to go with you to the Gambler ! ^^
Great footage. Get that vacay Chris. Thanks for the entertainment.
That Vette looks like a fricken rc car! It's awesome!

I love how Chelsea always freezes with that deer-in-headlights look when the camera hits her. Haha
Enjoy your well deserved break! Maybe change those air filters when you get back.
Man after you are done with this rally you should take the Vette to the Florence Sand Dunes. You will probably need some paddle tires though.
So nice to see you enjoying your builds finally!! b is for drive it like you borrowed it :)
Aw fuck yeah. Wish I could have gone and met up with you guys. Next year!
That looks like so much fun! But, oh man, that dust! I need a shower just from watching the video!
I think the vette is my favourite build do far!! Awesome!
Very good video, it looked like both cars were performing great out there. Wish I had realised you were looking for people to run with saturday morning.
It was awesome seeing you out there man, glad both cars made it back ok! Our Rabbit made it almost all the way home before it died.

Vette buggy looks so mean. Imagine that thing with real Off-Road suspension. :O
The yondu marry Poppins car in the very beginning, good on that guy

i like how chris uses decent music on his vids, not the same old crappy stuff other channels use
Mohawk restaurant, Crescent Oregon, my hometown, them roads are familiar...
Got a Geo Metro for Gambler 2020
B is for TakeTheVetteCartToMoab! :D
Damn, I didn't even see you were building these cars. You didn't show up in my inbox or recommended and I am subscribed.
Absolutely mental. I love it!

Love the builds man! Inspiration made dude enjoy the break 🤙🏼
Chelsea the real MVP for dealing with your shenanigans.
He'd be a fool not to put a ring on that finger imo
@@MrApru1 Don't I know it? Been there, done that! :-D
Its really fun to watch great video
Awesome bro. The cars turned out great!
Pity you don't have a roof and doors with windows to keep the dust out..
Buggy needs a quicker rack.
Lol the van.
that party looked so fun. like some mad max/ffdp "house of the rising sun" scene
Give *Tavarish* a call on how to disable that traction control on the Merc! Your boy always know!
I was there, didnt even see your car bru! Next year I'll say what up. Good times

Wish you had more footage from the other cars some of them looked awesome
Nice builds!
I will definitely be out there next year.
Great vid man. Looks like y’all had a lot of fun. I’d like to do the 500 in one of my E36’s some day. Build like an Offroad one of those.
Awesome builds dude! Any chance you'll ever go BIG? Do something crazy with an old bus or box truck?
Jenkins is an awesome oversized go-cart, but it’s still got a Corvette suspension haha
Awake man.. that looked like a lot of fun
You guys look Legit apocalypse style with all that dirt lol
I Wana see that Vette afterwords!!! I love it
duck tape and cardboard man. ya'll shoulda brought some supplies with ya!
Chelsea is bae.
Bae=poop....is it really too hard to just say Babe anyways?

Leroy got the idea from somewhere 😂😂🤣🤣
David Mead Heelllll yeeaaarrr brothhhheeerrrrr
The redhead chick is super hot. Also need to add a real suspension to that vette hell go all out and make it 4x4
Think you should get another vette and do the same think to it. Tandem trails would be dope
Please do more stuff with the vette!!
Jumping with 3" spacers. You are definitely braver than me.
Enjoy your break buddy!
