- Here at Grind Hard Plumbing Company we searched for the perfect car for the gambler 500. We wanted to seriously rally and we knew we wanted rear wheel drive. The search was hard as most are RWDs are over the $500 price limit. But we found the perfect 1998 E 36 BMW 232. We wanted something special that we both really admired so we chopped the back put in a roll cage lifted the back by 2 inches and put her on 18’s. This video starts just after that point where we rally down the driveway making the 500 mile trip to Oregon to start the 2018 gambler 500. When we first arrived I felt like there was no place closer to the mad max ThunderDome with cheap lifted cars everywhere custom spray paint paint jobs and any ridiculous cheap modification you could think of.
Then we rallied around forest service trails that were incredibly dusty for two days straight then made the journey back home without any air-conditioning. This BMW E 36 truck rips and as you guys are calling it the BMW ute. We are so happy to have this crazy amount of support so far love you guys. - Edwin

I have a small suggestion if possible, I'm sure you have this planned already but are waiting for the channel to grow a little more. But I'd be very interested in a Q&A video. Well, not so much Q&A, but more just answer some generic questions. Who are you both, what you do for a living, how you got into cars and the skill set you both have, why the hell two mechanically skilled guys are so good at editing and content creation, lmao.

Tent on a fire ant hill. Been there, done that. Love that jacked up Datsun 200. I had one and passed a cop at 79 mph, had my foot to the floor. When he finally caught up with me he was shaking & his chest was heaving like he was going to have a heart attack ( I was worried for the old guy! ) and he told me he had his cruiser maxed out to catch up with me (from a standstill under the bridge post where he was hidden). He stared long & hard at my hood wondering what was under there. To be so small yet go so fast.

this was all a couple of hours from my hometown, and the rollcaged vehicle at 7:19 is a corvette believe it or not!

Klamath Falls, shitty little town, I was on the way to portland when this was all going down. So I got to see some cool cars on the road on the way there and back!

Defiantly not take your E36 on that stuff lol, I had scratches and dings on my 318i's transmissions sump when I had to drive over a very rocky gravel road, and I had the larger M3 17" rims on it xD

It would take some major fab work, the 12 valve weighs in the neighborhood of 1100 lbs. Not only fabbing for the structure but building everything around the drivetrain to endure. Seriously a sick idea though. I am all for tossing cummins into anything!!!

Your build is epic and couldn't be much more fun to play with ! I remeber when they were building that bridge ! It took forever but , its still my favorite land points. you guys didint think Oregon was purity? you guys drove through some of the nicest places. It was a fun gambler though. I took my 04 pt cruiser turbo thats really only ment for the dragstrip. it did a lot better then I thought it would.
