  • Sry lads, there were no new videos lately. The Hobby changed for me, I'm mostly active in designing aftermarket parts now as well as researching German ww2 vehicles.
    I'd like to make more videos in the future, but on a different, smaller time budget.

    Glad to see an update from you. I enjoy seeing your work in how you upgrade and correct the kits. Even simple post-build review style discussions on a finished project would be great to see, and they're not too time-consuming to film and edit 😊

      Thank you Evan. I'm doing something along that way. Just discussing the build phase with the model in hand, using B-Roll were needed and show the finished model to those still there. 2nd side my digital Panther is complete enought to make content with it as well as deepdiving certain track types and their variants. I'll be happy if have one build per month and something digital to show as well.

    I don't care what type of video you post. Just keep on posting. Don't lose your enthusiasm for modelling because of video editing. 👍🏻

    Your 3d model works look amazing. I loved all of them, but was especially impressed with the Beopanther. It looked great. Thank you.

      War ich, musste alles nicht-essentielle hinten anstellen. Hab aber seit gut vier Monaten wieder Zeit für's Hobby. Fast alles nachgeholt und auch schon einiges vorproduziert. Jetzt bin langsam dabei auszumisten was alles Sinn macht und was nicht. Hatte über den Spätsommer extrem wenig Zeit, RC und Warhammer taten ihr übriges... Wenn ich von der Platte verschwinde bin ich einfach überarbeitet...

    i eas thinking today about tracks and what’s available and these ease of different styles of assembly. i wonder if there is a way to mold a thin elastic band like easy line throughout the length of the track . that way they are all links are connected and you just stretch them over the wheels and when set just run some extra thin over the length of tracks then slide the elastic out leaving your set and or sagged tracks

    • @Tankbrusher
      @Tankbrusher  Рік тому

      Interessting thought. I currently design my tracks for wire, pin and click-in-place hinges. To my experience assembling tracks fast is a matter of workholding and well calibrated prints. I thinkering around with a "assembly rig" that does the workholding for me so I can just slide the pins in rapidly. A full Tiger I set I throw togehter in 30min, but King Tiger or E-100 with its small connection links or these very tiny Panzer I links are still a problem.
      It's possible to print a trackrun fully assembled and workable in some cases, but its not relaiable and does require a special washing machine. Pre-shaped tracks are in my experiments not looking good - the trade-off is too heavy on the "looks like a toy" side - by now I have a good collection of digital tanks I can test this stuff with, but the single link with two pin-halfs remains king of the hill for now.

    Schade das es nur 3D Files gibt, ich habe keinen 3D-Drucker und kenne auch niemanden, der mir das hier in der Schweiz machen kann. Gibt es eine andere Möglichkeit, an Teile zu kommen?
    Danke

    Why does the panther have a dummy gun?

    • @Tankbrusher
      @Tankbrusher  Рік тому +2

      The artillery observation vehicle prototype had a dummy only to make room for a "mechanical ballistic computer". Obvious reason for having a dummy gun is to make it hard to get spotted amongst other combatans. Identified forward artillery observers are primary targets, back than as they are today. Many observation vehicles including even some commad variants were "spectator mode" only or had way reduced offencive capabilities. I'll explain in detail in the future video. Have a look at Dragon 6813 for the vehicle I was talking about.

    Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass es eine Doppelbelastung ist, Modelle zu bauen und Videos zu drehen. Wenn die Abonnenten praktisch wöchentlich etwas Neues erwarten, muss man schnell bauen und malen, aber der eigene Anspruch ist ja, es so gut wie nur möglich zu machen. Das geht nicht immer schnell und Abzüge an der eigenen Arbeit will man nun auch nicht machen, nur um "pünktlich" etwas hochzuladen. Wenn Du Dich besser dabei fühlst, einfach frei Schnauze zu erzählen, statt ein richtiges Script zu verfassen, solltest Du das so machen. Ich als Zuschauer fände es schlimmer, wenn die Qualität Deiner Modelle litte. Mach weiter so. Ich wünsche Dir noch jede Menge Abonnenten.

    is it because youtube earnings have dropped?

    • @Tankbrusher
      @Tankbrusher  Рік тому +1

      My complete ad revenue for 2022 was 150€ within youtube. To give some context: My monthly electricity bill is 110€, rent 1100€, a tank of fuel for my car is 130€, minimal allowed pay for unskilled labour in Germany is 12€/h. Direct UA-cam earnings were and are not worth it but that's not the point.
      I make my videos for fun. Currently I have more fun crawling all over vehicles with my scanner in hand or digging through technical drawings in order to figure stuff out. Past half year I tried to make videos over and over again and either I had to abandon them because of not being able to keep pace with Patreon or I wasn't happy with the result. 2023 I make videos again in time conserving way, cut the weathering after the pin wash and preferably have a build and the video ready in sync with my Patreon content. It's more about adjusting to reality than anything else tbh.

    • @Panzermeister36
      @Panzermeister36 Рік тому

      Even I don't make much on UA-cam. It's not really profitable building models on here. If you want to make the big bucks on YT, get good at video games 😂
