Excellent video, and thank you for putting it out so quickly! You absolutely made my day interviewing Dylan and seeing his sheer joy right after the race. He's my son and we couldn't be more proud of him. I think Dylan and Lachy were the happiest guys in the top 10 for sure.
I'd say counterpoint to your "is the spirit of gravel dead?" is that it was won by a guy that drank beer the night before, quit world tour riding because it sucks and rode the Continental Divide for the F of it. And the woman winner only started biking 3 years ago. So in a way, it's more alive than ever. :)
To me, if there is a spirit of gravel, it's about having fun and riding however you want (while following the rules, of course) and respecting that in others. It has nothing to do with how hard you work to prepare.
I can't believe unbound is so big now. It would be a dream come true to ride it. Gravel is taking over the World 🫶. This is a rare coverage of the event. Nicely done and thank you!!
Great job moving around to get the images and to put it all together in such a compresses timeframe. It is always a challenge to put together a story from all the raw footage. KUDOS!
Great Video. Years ago, I raced this and fell off my bike into a ditch at mile 131 with an asthma attack. It’s amazing to watch these amazing riders of all levels follow their dreams. I’m still working on getting to 200 miles (safely).
Incredible video! I don't think I've seen the excitement of Unbound captured this well before. Thanks for making this and showcasing the biggest gravel race in the world.
First the Alt Tour de France where he finished, unsupported, 5-freaking DAYS AHEAD of the peloton. Now this (and I’m sure others that I’m not away of). Well done, lad. Well done.
Fabulous Coverage, thank you so much for that. The AID STATIONS parts were bonkers!! Had no idea it was like that, so nervous & so pro… Super Happy for DYLAN to be top 10
What a great coverage of this amazing race. Love that you got to speak to so many of these great athletes before and after and you had wonderful coverage of the feed stops with all the dramas that occur there. Thank you
Super cool video. Love seeing Dylan, and happy for Lachy. Yet, watching these interviews I couldn’t help but think how SERIOUS this has all gotten and how far it has moved away from its roots. 34 riders created a unique route and event just for the sheer fun of it, and now you’ve got riders as serious as a heart attack, going deep down the rabbit hole analyzing every calorie, every watt, every bolt for the sake of WINNING. A little charm has been lost along the way…
It's a race with a big prize. You can't have that without pros taking it really seriously and trying to win. They go where the money is. That is also why this video exists. You can organize a similar race with no big prizes, but pros will not show up to ride it, and sponsors will not get involved, so there will be little coverage of it.
For years people have been wanting coverage of mid to back of the pack. Not sure how that would turn out but they are all putting their best into it with far less resources. It should be recognized somehow.
Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Incredibly well done. And you got this thing out quickly! And can we please acknowledge the skills of the guy on the MTB cruising through at 16:34 with the massive camera just dodging bottles with one hand on the bars?
Great to see something that reviews Unbound 2024 edition and race, I may be looking at the wrong sites, but it is pretty easy to find Dauphine or Giro highlights pretty much as they happen, but why is it the case there's nothing on Unbound in a similar way?
@@celestialemissary4934in the next 12 hours Lifetime Grand Prix will put out the edited 1 hour cut as well (with helicopter footage, 4x4 follow cam footage, etc) -the race did only happen 48 hours ago.
Love to see Lachy take it home! And props to DJ! can't wait to see his full race breakdown too as it sounds like he didn't realize he was actually in the 3rd group going for 6th - 12th place or wonder if he was just focusing on those in Lifetime Grand Prix?
Fantastic coverage! It's is absolutely crazy how fast this race is. Holding a 21 to 22 mph average for 200 miles is frickin insane! Do you happen to know what mile Keegan went down?
Great content. I have to ask though. How do you have the rode mic with 32bit float that will never clip and you set it on 16 bit and everything they say is clipped 😂. I won’t even get started on the focus and framing issues. Get Sony cameras fx30 or fx3. Get people that actually know how to use the gear and what gear to use and when. This would have been better shot on an iPhone.
Interview with Finsterwald is great. He looks super happy and proud (as he should be)! Nice coverage. Would have liked to have seen an interview with Keegan - not for rub-ins, but at pro level it’s good to see how they win and don’t.
Awesome coverage as usual!! I'm sure I speak for a lot of us here, that we are thankful for all your work filming, interviewing, following the racers, and sharing it with us. What's the next stop for you??
That wheel change at 13 minutes was a perfect strategy by Thijs Zonneveld and his crew. He was on the front in the right move with Lachlan and Haga but punctured out. If only … 😮😢
Lachlan definitely deserves all the praise, but kudos to Dylan for not finishing 17th! 😂
Thinking the same! Cheers Dylan!😊😊
I was waiting for it! 😂😂😂
😂🎉

I’ve seen him at quite a few events and his yell across the finish line and glowing positivity was great to capture!
Even backwards hat Dylan would be proud...ish...
@@franmcgowan4068 Well done! 😆

Great coverage. Intimate capture of Lachy's immediate reaction to the win was a tear jerker. Chapeau.

That interview with dylan at the end was awesome. Watching rosa's reaction at the end was incredible. Some really good footage here
Thanks! Happen to be in the right place and right time.
This is the coverage we all wait for. SO psyched for Lachlan and glad you got his thoughts. Thanks!!!

Do you do breath work/diaphragm work?
Mad respect for everyone. GVA is a total beast with the flats still gets a top 10.
Thanks for the wonderful video. Unbounds gets better & better every year.
This race now looks completely different compared to the "before times".
So great to see Lachlan win this, the fastest Unbound ever! Such a classy rider!
Loved this super film team 👊🏼 big ups from Radelaide 🇦🇺 and yeah Lachie!!!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
