I think it might have something to do with the fact that your background required you to speak like more of a presenter which I think works well on tv but on UA-cam, sometimes it feels a little less personable and almost like you’re in a lecture theatre with a professor. Maybe watching other people in your niche like Cathrin Manning or Roberto Blake would be helpful. Once again, I love your content and it is very informative. I don’t mean any disrespect with my comment. I just wanted to offer you some feedback as someone who has been watching your content for over a year now.
Hi Amber, this is how I speak. If you're uncomfortable there are lots of really great content creators (that you've mentioned and whom I also love) that you can rather tune into. It's super inappropriate for you to tell me to emulate someone/ something that I am not and call it constructive criticism.

I was just saying from a viewer’s perspective that it comes across differently. I wasn’t telling you to be like those other people. I just thought they were good references. For example, if I was watching another UA-camr who seemed shy or uncomfortable in front of the camera then I would tell them to watch a few videos on UA-cam and find ways to calm the nerves so that they appear more natural in front of the camera. I’m not saying you’re a new UA-camr, I’m just using it as an example. In my opinion it was constructive criticism because sometimes as a creator, you don’t see how you come across to the viewer and I just wanted to give feedback in a polite way. Clearly you didn’t take it that way. And once again I apologize because I didn’t realize that that’s how you genuinely speak and I thought you only spoke that way on camera. My bad
I didn't take offense so please don't apologize. I just found it inappropriate. It would also be inappropriate to tell someone shy to work on their shyness as I'm sure they're very aware and possibly already working on it. Again, because it speaks directly to who they are, giving them unsolicited criticism could actually be quite mean & have the opposite effect. When people come online as themselves and try to share info/ ideas & your reaction is to criticize them (and I genuinely do believe that you're coming from a really good place & with the best of intentions) or how they present themselves it's not appropriate. Not everyone will be everyone's cup of tea and that's ok.

I started off doing something I thought was going to be good in the long run but I realized that if I’m trying to establish myself as a creator and a youtuber I want to be different, so I’ve Changed the direction of my channel and ever since I’ve seen so much more growth because I feel like it’s really adding value (as you say) to people as opposed to them just watching a video for the sake of watching it
