The more I watch him the more I see a crazy athletic safety more than a corner

I was just informed by jersey murph that anyone who makes that assessment is racially biased against white defensive backs.

Yeah, be careful with that opinion, I've been accused of racism for a similar assessment.

Dejean provides that Malcolm Jenkins versatility, not saying that he's on Malcolm's level, just that he offers a similar amount of versatility

Corner and playing outside the boundary field of snaps and great run defender!

I like the idea of having C. DeJean, CJ Gardner-Johnson and Sidney Brown moving around the secondary and playing different positions and helping to mask the coverages and blitz schemes. The kid is a football player! Period!

His size could be beneficial to helping cover athletic TEs and he is big enough to mix it up in the box.

I think hes a good player but idk how much of an impact he's going to be at the next level one of the biggest criticism of him and Mitchell is lack of competition it sounds like he's a second round pick with the potential of being 1st. Hope him the best

What’s up Dontae! I think the level of competition is a misunderstanding. He’s played just as good of competition as Alabama’s corners. People are forgetting how good the Big has been recently at receiver.
He has played Jaxson Smith-Njigba, Emeka Egbuka, Marvin Harrison Jr., Xavier Hutchinson, Jaylin Noel, Jayden Higgins, Charlie Jones, Ronnie Bell, Isaiah Williams, Trey Palmer, Will Pauling, Jayden Reed, and Daniel Jackson.
Basically, he has faced the majority of the top 5 receivers in the Big 10 over these last two seasons. The only guy missing is Maryland’s, Jeshaun Jones.
The vast majority of these guys are on NFL teams, are about to be. I think a lot of people are really devaluing the competition he faced.
My concern with Cooper DeJean is how the Eagles view him. The could see him as an outside corner. They could also see him as a safety, or tall nickel. If that’s the case, hard to see a first round evaluation being given if he’s not viewed as an outside corner.

I like him, I just think there will be better players at 22. I'm worried he might be too versatile, rather have someone great at one spot than good at many.

The cash lb position reminded me a lot of Malcolm Jenkins’ role when he was an eagle with Schwartz. I look at dejean as a guy who can play anywhere who has a great football iq and is a player. I’m not sure of how to project him on this team though.

I want him at Safety! Only so he can us his eyes more and create more turnovers! Imagine CJGJ & DeJawn as the last lines of defense!
Then you got Sydney & Battleship as experienced backups!
YEA THIS DEFENSIVE SECONDARY GOT LEAPS AND BOUNDS BETTER!
I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE QUINYON & KELEE ON THE OUTSIDE IN 2025!!!!!! WITH ISAIAH IN THE SLOT!
I JUST HOPE OUR LINEBACKERS ARE EXACTLY WHAT I HOPE THEY CAN BE!!!!!!

Big up Coach Parker. We’d be in Division II without him and our punter. 😅

That was kinda ugly what Marvin Harrison Jr did to him on that double move. But Harrison is a Justin Jefferson level route runner.
Cooper is clearly a great football player, and a very good pick at 22

If he can’t play man then don’t draft in first round, did you see he was 10😊 yards off. Pro receivers gonna burn him up

Stop first they did no play good teams in big ten and he mostly played 10 yards off ball, wr1 and wr2 and wr3 gonna burn this bum up

What? Michigan won the national title, Ohio State is always good for 10 wins a year. They have good receivers in the big 10 in the NFL playing at a high level. You're simply just saying anything just to say it.
