I feel like some of the issue with DeJean outside was that Iowa doesn't teach their CBs these techniques. They don't really teach press. He's not the first (or fifth for that matter) CB I've seen out of Iowa who doesn't press well or use a speed turn. A lot of these clips were him making a big turn back against his momentum rather than employing a speed turn. I think a good DB coach can turn him into a good press CB. And maybe he should be a better safety right now... Because that's what he played prior to this season. I think he's a really good CB prospect who is also a great Slot and elite Safety prospect. But that doesn't mean he can't become a great CB at the next level. But it should be noted that Iowa CBs have a bad track record.
I think you called it. Too many videos on glazing this guy. Even his pre season tape showed his change of direction flaws. Riley Moss is better technique wise.
I'm between Green Bay and San Francisco. Green Bay could use another safety on the other side of McKinney and have him play slot need be, and SF as a slot defender wouldn't be a bad consolation prize if they can't get an OL at 31
