I really wish this game power progression wasn't so broken. Otherwise I feel people wouldn't be making the same movies about "defeat the same meteor guy over and over again and watch out for the nuclear soul power plants" and they wouldn't have released 1/4 of a game with cute graphics and trans wokeness that is ff7 remake. By this time in this story you could have almost perfect characters with not a lot of grinding. Junctions were a great idea but they set bad limits compared to the progression. You can't convince me that military trained orphans with memory issues due to the weapons they've been forcefully trained with from childhood that fight against a time travelling sorceress, the protagonist has to choose between his love for a sorcereress that will be taken over by the villain or the world... you can't tell me that it isn't a better story than repeating the meteor guy. ff7 is cute, ff8 is a masterpiece.
