I'm an artist myself and so I've always been interested in urban art that's been happening in Portugal for a good decade or maybe 20 years at this point, I don't even know the name of the style / movement it represents, but it's been here for a while, very underground, but I've always been fascinated by it. It's a mix of hard culture from the past with a very futuristic vision, a celebration of art and life through sorrow, almost as it was inspired by fado. Conan grabs it all, puts it in a blender perfectly and represented it PERFECTLY. It honestly makes me proud of what we delivered there as a country. Conan is a brilliant artist. And most people don't understand it now, but it's gonna be referenced in the future art books as a iconic moment of a certain art movement.

it is so true! This is a song for 2049! Eurovision has a too narrow mind.
I think the thing with the song is that you need to listen to it two times because it's the kind that attracts you at the first listen but then grows on you at the second. Personally, I first listened to it during the semi-final (I prefer to not listen to the entries before that) and I found it odd bht mesmerising in some way. Then I downloaded the song and that's when I was like, damn, this is really good.

No, just no. Had you said that Portugal sends Fado-influenced songs, that would be at least debatable. However, modern vibes or not, Portugal hasn't sent a Fado tune to the Eurovision in ages. I'm not the biggest Fado listener *by any means*, but this isn't Fado either.

We will never sell ourselves to the cheap pop practiced in the ESC, someone has to counter this horrible and tasteless tendency, because this is the biggest music event on the planet and should be honored with pure art coming from the heart and feeling, and not from commercial patterns. The jury result kinda surprised me a bit, but I fully understand that the televote dropped this as most viewers don't know what the song is about or who Conan even is. All they see, is some weirdo in green, dancing on a strange track. Literally everyone I spoke to hated this, and some of them do know their music theory and all. It was definitely out-of-the-box, but this song was just so ridiculous in both meaning and staging that likely only Portuguese viewers could even slightly comprehend the meaning of the entry within just 3 minutes.
