+mojo jojo well honestly with all of these years under my belt im starting to see the error in this way of thinking. is it really ok to put one gender down for the sake of building another one up? i was watching this video as i lay down with my daughter so maybe thats why the comment bothered me, it went over head but not mine. i take my daughter fishing all the time and she handled plenty of fish and she too had her fears of touching one at first but somehow we over came by me leading by example and touching the fish first to let her know it was okay. shes 5 now and i pride myself in continuing to make sure she harnesses a fearless spirit. so in that respect i get where everyone is coming from, just trying to get the boy to overcome his fear, i just feel there was probably another way to do it. so go ahead Internet, label me a pussy or whatever, my original comment was literally posted as i watched this video for the first time with my daughter and that was the raw emotion i felt, i have no problem taking this moment in this boys life and seeing that one comment as a huge negative.

It's commercial fishing, a field dominated by muscle and testosterone since ancient times, because that's what it takes to catch fish for a living. The physical and mental aspect of literally muscling your income out of the fucking ocean is something not many women can overcome.

I'm used to fishing creeks for trout and small rivers and lakes for bass and Muskie. I went out with Goldfisch charters in December on the Chesapeake Bay, and man oh man, we cleaned up the stripers. I caught a 33 incher, one of the biggest fish I've ever caught. I love striper fishing, I hope I can take my dad out this fall since he's never gone before. That kid beat my PB his first catch! Awesome video!

I remember I went fishing in a gulf of brackish water and I cast my rod with some shrimp as bait as soon as it hit the water I felt a huge tug and I started to reel I felt the power of this fish and after a good 40 minute fight I’ve caught a 37 pound rock fish I ate good that dinner

The stripers out in Montauk are frequently 15-50 pounds. The strippers there weigh between 90 and 170 pounds. Just fyi.

Probably wont see this but I went out with my dad for these for the second year in a row with last hurrah charters. I'm 13 and caught a 46 inch striper. So much fun!

I went out on never e-nuff charters near Chesapeake beach last week, we had 22 poles out, caught 7 keepers, biggest 53". Awesome vid!
We caught all 7 in the first 45 minutes, nothing else in the last 3 hours lol

I live around the Hudson River in Troy, NY and when the strippers started running the river filled up with boats and people were pulling out 40-50+ pound strippers. Awesome stuff...my biggest is only 25 inches, a dink compared to these fish!

That looks like a lot of fun. The closest thing I have near Colorado is Lake McConaughy. There are huge Stripers and Striper Hybrids. You should definitely Check it out some time. Striper Hybrids are the hardest fighting fish. They put Largemouth Bass to shame.

go to block island in the summer and use eels a couple feet above the water and keep it on freespool. let them run for 5 seconds and lock it down and reel on the circle hook
