Hi everyone. If anyone want to cross to Morocco from Spain use Tarifa crossing not Algeciras . From Tarifa you croos straight to Tanger city centre and to the modern side of Tanger the beach is beautiful and the marina . if you want to see the old city there is a mosq next to the port and next to it some stairs walk up and you are in the old city. Tanger is safe you dont need a guide restaurant and cafes are all around will bump into one . If you want to buy something you have to bargain always give less than half of the price 40% of the said price and stick to it and walk away they usually call you back . I am moroccan and this us my advice. Good luck.
Morocco is the friendliest country I have ever visited in my life, I am in love with that place, I am willing to travel there for a 4th time. Awesome video of Tangier. Thank you.
That's great! Which areas of Morocco do you go to? We'd love to visit Marrakech. There's a new high speed train opening next year from Tangier to Casablanca.
I have visited numerous cities and towns in Morocco, my favourite would have to be Fez. It is the heartbeat of Morocco, the ancient Medina of Fez has so much to offer if you are interested in Islamic history, berber culture and Jewish culture. As for Marrakesh, indeed it is the most astonishing and fascinating city of Morocco. I highly recommend you visit in the winter time as it gets extremely hot in the summer. You and your lovely family will enjoy so much in that city, don't forget to visit "Jama El Fana" and the Medina. Also, it is not too far from the Sahara desert, where you can enjoy fun camel rides and breath-taking views of the desert. I heard about the new high speed train, some friends told me it is very expensive and meant for business travellers, therefore I would probably recommend to fly to Marrakesh or just use the ordinary train (Tangier - Marrakesh = 5 hours) Enjoy Morocco, the land of the sunset. :)
Loved watching this. We are planning a road trip this fall from Lisbon to blue city in Morocco. I don’t know why, but I’m so pumped to cross the straight of Gibraltar! This video made me so pumped!
Ah, Morocco. Chaos and touts and souvenirs. We have two bedside lamps of beaten bronze from a stall in Asilah, just down the coast from Tangier. Cannot say I'm interested in returning. Thanks for the walk around the Casbah. Looking forward to your trip to Iran. You and your girls would love it. We spent our time there visiting fabulous places, and there were often school groups of the most charming girls, all wanting to try out their English and take selfies.
awesome video and welcome to my city Tangier and have fun. you can to stay here in hotel for another day with a good price it very Shep and discovering alot of places very beautiful
This is the oldest video I found on your channel. The kids are patient that always helps in traveling. The Casbah man is a hoot!!! Loved him so friendly.
Nice video but i think you didn't visit the most beautiful places in Tangier like "Achakkar " or " rmilat " or " cap spartel " or "lhafa" .. it seems like you missed a lot about Tangier guys.
Hello you all i was there and in North Africa ,Algeria into the Casbah its a crazy place many years ago, and it seems all you do is rushing back and forth and you see the rock of Gibraltar thanks for the video and have a great time
That was quite the day! We should have gone from Tarifa so we would have more time in Tangier. It was an experience though. :) I’m sure when you were there it was much different....or maybe not.
Hello again, This is Jerome from Florida, and liked it better this time, and would love to meet all you sweet people and if i didn't i would be heart broken, you all very nice people that i keep in contact with "You Tubers" and i used to watch Marina videos and just fell for her for some reason, it just happened and you mention Zurich, she pops up, anyway i love you all bye bye
I'm half Moroccan half English. Tangier is where my dad was born and raised. I would visit there sometime twice a year, winter and summer time all through my teenage years. I haven't been back since 2006 as life and kids take over. This was a really good video thanks for sharing. P.S If you ever visit again though I would suggest halving any price they give you in the markets lol. They like to try and charge more. Anyways. Thanks again x
So you know the place very well then. I hope you can make it back again soon. We did notice that in the market. 😉😂😂That’s all part of it though right....it’s the negotiating. We had a great time.
We almost got stuck on an island off of Iceland because it was rough for ferry to go back. We took a small plane back to mainland. But I've learned now to have enough money and makeup/toiletries if we ever do a side trip like that again(in case we get stuck overnight like most of the people on that ferry did) Tangier is definitely on my bucket list and plan to do when we go to Spain next fall (September).
Because we actually arrived at Tangier Med which is 45 mins away. This year there’s a high speed train coming so it will be much faster to get there. We could have taken the ferry directly to Tangier but we didn’t.
Growing Up Without Borders nice video. I am thinking of going to Tangier on my own for a few days next month. Would you recommend it and would you say it would be safe as I heard you can get hassled a lot? But it looks fine on your video. Thanks
@@DEFINITELYNOTPOMNI thank you. I've been researching now and they say you just have to be careful with street vendors, fake tour guides offering their services for 'free,' waiters at tourist-trap restaurant doors trying to get you in, things you may find in other countries too.
Growing Up Without Borders hello there. the trip was fine. the country is nice and safe. I was a lill bit annoyed with the guys from ancient medina. they ask me for money after they present me the old town, without me to ask them to do that...you need to watch out but anyway...it was a nice experience.
When i go to tangier, i saw how annoying this false guides and how they comport with tourists, normally just say please NOOO a little bit harsh with them, they will leave you in peace. As a Moroccan happened to me also there in Tangiers
Chantelle you are the lady of the hour, "Why" you kept the party alive i like that guy solicited that restaurant it was all so very funny, and those people with you, i got more excited than they did as i couldn't stop laughing, especially when you all sat in the car, as many people have no sense of humor and some even have a bad time traveling,, i love you all , and i was in Algeria, North Africa and those guys are the same way there, pushing themselves on you to follow them and to buy something, and you can get a bargain to, have a great time Jerome from Florida
A very nice and useful video, as i intend to do the same trip to Tangier shirtly. Can i ask you please to give me the name of music in 12:47 ? Big thanx
That's a nice amount of time to visit. I would suggest leaving from Tarifa and going directly to Tangier so you have more time and it's a smaller port so you don't need to be there that many hours in advance like you do when you leave Tangier Med. The ferry isn't that long only about 1 hour.
Hello! We're actually originally from Canada. You'll definitely need your US passport and make sure you get to the terminal earlier than planned to have enough time. Happy travels! 😉
You seem to be a very disorganized family for being so traveled? Two hours late for the ferry you forget an important visa for your husband, then you fall into the trap of the Touts at the ferry terminal, waste time with his itinerary, and then you almost get stranded because you don’t understand that you have to check in on a ferry one hour before you’re crossing an international border?
