Not positive about it here, but in other similar rituals blessing animals, particularly where the blessing is to come from a god or higher power or the like, the animal is poked or prodded to make it call out to gain the notice of the entity the blessing is to come from. Think along the lines of making a cow moo so god hears and knows what animal to bless. I imagine that honking the horn is similar. If you speak and understand the language, could you tell me if in the blessing the monk referenced anything identifying the bike, like what is on the license plate or even it's make and model? It's something I've seen in modern blessings of cars, utilizing license plates as identifying names, I'm sorry if Im being nosy but this stuff fascinates me
You have very good taste in accessories. It was a fantastic, unique, and very spiritual birth for my new Honda CT as well as for me. After 800 KM the monks blessing band or ribbon is still attached to my handlebars. Keep me safe hopefully.
