@@meshach2806 The source of that rumor is Jerry Lawler who is basically a liar and a pedophile. Elizabeth never had anything negative to say about Savage or his treatment of her during their marriage (or her other husband Carl Lubesky). The truth is that after her second divorce she was in a relationship with wrestler Lex Luger and he had the cops called on him by her for striking her in their shared home. So as far as we know, her first two marriages, including the one to Savage were fine.

I met the Iron Sheik when I was 12 years old shopping in a grocery store with my mom. Saw him and knew exactly who he was. Went up and introduced myself to him and shook his hand and talked to him and he was very nice to me. It’s very cliche, but he told me to stay in school and told me I was a nice young man. He probably was overprotective and possessive. But, apparently nothing ever actually happened as a result of it, which means either it wasn't that severe, or everyone got the hint. There wasn't any domestic abuse going on otherwise, so mostly just a nothing-burger.
And really, who could blame him? It was the 80s and 90s...and Elizabeth was absolutely stunning. Her being backstage with a bunch of 'roided out freaks and the handful of decent guys that worked there...he was kinda justified in being concerned for her safety.
And...that's really the key. Most assholes don't want "their" woman "cheating" on them. So they're possessive and controlling. But sometimes, a woman is in an unsafe scenario, and her partner is defensive for the sake of her safety, not her fidelity.
That seems to have been the case, here. But, no real way to tell, anymore.
