Wow, The Book Exchange looks fabulous, I could spend a lot of time in there. Just seeing the Little Bookshop from the walk up made me love it. The final two LFLs were the best!!! Thanks for taking us with you.
I had a bookish day also! Visited two thrift stores and a book exchange store. I came home with 10 books and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thanks for taking me along on your bookish adventure 🙂
I’m even more your fan since you are living in the state where my late mother was raised. You are so sweet and very interesting. Your fan from North Dakota Thanks for all you do💐👏🥰
I got Walk Two Moons from a little free library the other day. I try to put a book or two in the ones that don’t have many to try and get them going again. Thanks for sharing, I just started really getting into Little Free Libraries recently.
Such a fun vlog. (As always) I'm so happy your brother is home and feeling better. I'm home after surgery myself. I'm doing better. Very tired. The doctors have me resting for over a month so I'll get plenty of reading in! Happy you enjoyed your massage. They are incredible. Be well! Stay safe! Happy Reading Krista! 🍂📚😃☕🍁
Really enjoyed this vlog. Love going to book stores and could spend a long time checking everything out. Glad your brother is feeling better. Good reading days ahead by what you picked up. :)
I wish I could get massages more often! I just absolutely love them and feel like it would help to have more, but financially it's not an option right now.
I do love a bookish day. I haven't had one in a while. There's an independent book store near my office. I haven't been in there in ages. I definitely need to stop by before my last day at the office, as I will no longer be nearby. Though it IS Rhode Island, nothing is THAT far away. 😂
You had a very good day!! Books and a massage, very nice. I know both of those bookstores very well (I live on the southside). Glad to hear Jordon is feeling better.
It was a great day! Hello to the southside! I very rarely cross the river because I live on the Northside and church and work are pretty close to me. But it was fun to explore!
What a sweet day! Blessed that Jordan is doing better and that you got some of the kinks worked out! I have that exact copy of The princess and the goblin(& the same cover art for the princess and curdie , and the wise woman). They were my mama’s. I love the Gregor Overlander series!
Loved this video! I'm still a paper person, so instead of using my phone's calendar, I use the Katie Daisy Planner. It's about 5x7 inches in size so I can easily carry it in my purse. It has such beautiful pictures like the cards you showed. The best thing about it is the extra large spiral wire that binds it. One of my pet peeves is having a spiral bound book that's too tight to turn the pages. It's very reasonably priced through Amazon. Love it!
You picked up a Sandra Dallas book at one of the little free libraries. Most of her books are very good. I would highly recommend Tallgrass (based on a Japanese internment camp in Kansas during WW2), Persian Pickle Club (a cozy mystery of sorts, very fun) and Alice's Tulips (homesteading, historical fiction). Her genre is fairly wide. I have Irena's Children, but have not read it, yet. Barbara Kingsolver also has quite a wide range of genres. The Bean Tree, I thought, was good, but not memorable for me. The Poisonwood Bible is one of my all time favorite books. Please, read that one. I do not cry easily while reading books, but this one had me in tears.
I ended up not keeping the Sandra Dallas one and put it back in another LFL. I would like to try her out some time, but not right now. Love when a book makes me cry! haha. I do plan on reading Poisonwood Bible.
I saw this pop up in my feed and thought, "What a nice surprise!" Thank you! You had really good luck with the FLLs. I have never found anything worth taking. I need to expand my territory I think.
Yeah, so glad Jordan is home and getting better!. Irena's Children is very good. I listened a few years ago and gasve it 4 and a half stars that I raised to 5 stars . Is there going to be a reading and productivity sprint this weekend?
You had such great options at your little free libraries!!! I was urging you to grab the PG Wodehouse one at the Giving Tree LFL. Loved this video, Krista :)
The Bean Trees is really good. So is the sequel Pigs in Heaven, which I recently read. I read Bean Trees a long time ago and liked it. That Book Exchange looks like *my* kind of place. Maybe if I get down to Richmond, I'll check it out.
Glad you picked up The Bean Trees, I really enjoyed it but then Barbara Kingsolver is one of my favourite authors so I feel you can’t go wrong with that one 😊
The Betsy-Tacy series were my childhood favorites. My Mother read them to my sisters and I when we were young. I read the entire series again 20 some years later and still love them! Eleven years ago I got two rescue dogs and named them Betsy and Tacy. I’m a geek! Also, The Bean Trees, Animal Dreams and Pigs in Heaven (series) as well as The Poisonwood Bible are all on my favorite books list. You’ll like them.

Thanks for sharing your fun, bookish day with us!! 😊💞🌹
