you are 100% correct, skydio bribed congressman to try and ban DJI because their drones suck and are expensive. See what that got them, no batteries, skydio sells their drones with one battery, no battery replacements available. I would love to see them go the way of the Karma drone.
They saw dollar signs and tried to run before they could walk.I really want a good American consumer/professional drone company to compete with DJI. Disappointed Skydio didn't even try and rather decided to play dirty politics. Serves them right to learn a tough lesson.
I, for one, am happy. Karma sucks. They thought they were too good for the consumer after they won their little contract. Sucks to suck. I hope DJI creates an even larger monopoly.
Good .. Skydio deserves to be eaten (bought) by a bigger tech company with more benign attitude towards consumers- buy them out, fire all their corrupt executives that are so hostile to consumers, and go ahead, innovate and compete with DJI in the consumer market and get it done! 😁
Red Cat taking that $100 million contract from Scoto is a big shake-up! Guess the Black Widow system is really impressing the military. Will be interesting to see how DJI counters with their new products. Great video!
Yeah, we didn't throw the B-Roll in, but a sennheiser pack ain't small. The Rode Go is small compared to a Sennheiser. For me if I can sit down without feeling the mic pack, it's small. - Ian
@@CoastalDrone It does give better audio quality, but its form factor and doesnt work well with phones. The Dji mic and mic 2 are far easier to use and a lot smaller, this new mic mini will be a game changer.
@@UncleTrapperMedia yup, in this case, smaller IS better! Sounds like the mic mini wont have 32-bit float though, which is a downer for a portable mic setup when you can't really ensure the gains are set right.
Does Redcat only sell to the military? I checked their website, and I didn't see much on it. I'm looking at DJI drones right now, but i also want to see other professional grade drones for solid cross comparisons. As of right now, it seems that DJI is the kind of the hill in professional civilian drones. I'll be getting my part 107 in about a month so I'm starting my search now.
Apparently the fibor optic controlled drones are what they are using now for military purposes in Ukrainian. I wonder if that has something to do with the contract loss

This company was sanctioned by China in October, and now it has completely halted production due to a shortage of raw materials in stock.
