Obviously it's because winds and percussion have very different jobs and therefore require very different instructions, but I only know one of our schools percussionists name and that's because I've been friends with him since elementary

Band camp came I was caught playing a cadence an upper class man couldn’t learn was told to strap up. Sophomore year after the two seniors left guess who was #1/kickoff man and got the section. District honor band, Parish honor band, and All state. And finished with a Full Scholarship to Grambling State P1. Don’t sleep on ANYBODY!! Big ups my guy!

@@DXLProductions I learned to play piano including the cords not just memorizing a song in one week, for some ppl it takes longer I might be better than some of those people because I worked harder to learn it, they might’ve been doing it longer but I put more effort into it, so it doesn’t really matter how long you’ve been playing.
I marched bari for a year and alto for 2 before that and mad respect to him and anyone of the like. I am a little smaller build than him but still bari sax is not an easy instrument to lug around and not only is it on the heavier side of marching but its awkward or at least was to me
I was in band starting in 6th grade through high school, and in high school I was in marching band, played snare, loved every moment of it! But if u mess up u gotta play it off and keep going, especially during a drum-off.

Removed Jig 2 from the cadences because my god I got tired of hearing and playing the cadence hahahaha I don’t really judge any school using the cadence because for one simple reason. It’s bloody easy XD unless you add the splits and snare(s) solo it’s a good and overly used cadence for beginners to intermediate. Also the junior just giving up. SHAME!! I don’t care if you hit rims, you better get to the end of that solo and finish it properly!! RECOVER DAMNIT!!
OMHS band fan here. “The colors of Oz” was my favorite show. I tell people here(Ohio), We have Prolly the best College Band in the land, but the best high school band’s from Alabama!
