Some kids at my school played this at homecoming played this and the kid who did the solo part did it so good and everybody was screaming
Joe_ P_123 cool! Thanks for watching!
Same yesterday for me, he’s in seventh grade and he added a twist to it and it was in the dark and I was the snare and everyone got loud and through glow sticks in the air, it was lit 🔥!!!!
Some people at my school also played but not better than you
@@gamingcyber8746 Thanks for watching but I did not play....all credit to the students! it was nice to have had the chance to video them....

They didn’t get the applause they deserved
It was only a practice session there obv only 40 people the final session has like 200+
Yeah, they should've gotten no applause. This cadence is terrible.
Kirbyfire73 ok boomer
Kirbyfire73 it’s the most popular cadence 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@nickthemusicman1101 Any drummer in drumline who actually knows what's good and what's not, knows that this is the most over hyped cadence. It has zero flow whatsoever.

definitely one of the best jig 2's I have ever seen
These are literally the creators of jig 2 lmao
@@boredaf514 nah really?
That crowd needs more excitement, the drum line is doing awesome!
To be fair, it really isn’t a “Drumline” it’s more a Tenor line, and it’s also like 70% less cool with only tenors because it has a bunch of awkward gaps and pauses, plus the fact that they’re playing at like 110 bpm, which is incredibly slow. I’ve played this before and trust me on this one, it could use improvement.
@@carterwhitmarsh3207 But you do realize that they all worked their tails off to get that good, right? Leave it at 'Good job guys, that was awesome!' and be done. Keep comment's like this to yourself. I you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all. I can definitely say that this Drumline, or Tenor line, whatever you want to call it, was freaking awesome. I wish I could be that good.
Sure, it's a little sloppy but these guys are just having fun. It's not a competition so calm down everyone.
David K. Hi I have been trying to reach out t
Should you use arm to move instead of wrist? Isn't that what they were doing wrong?
@@randalltomlinson7176 No, you're supposed to use your wrists instead of your arms to play drums, because if you use your arms, your muscles stiffen up, which makes it difficult to play correctly.
@@ringocrafter03 like elbow you mean? If you use straight wrist to turn doesn't that make it sloppy?
@@randalltomlinson7176 no, it does not. Your arms should be still for the most part, and your wrists should be doing most of the moving. If you use too much arm movement, your arms will get tired and become very stiff. Having very loose wrists is the way to play faster and better. You use your arms to change which drums you're hitting, but your wrists are what do all the hitting.
Jig 2 is my favorite thing ever
Jonesey The Gamer thanks for watching!!!
I will encourage my children to join drum line. So cool. Great vid!!
+Jonathan Valente Thank you for your kind words!
+Jonathan Valente Its the best thing you can do. Im in high school right now, made snare this year and super proud of it. All of our hard work paid off, we still got the best percussion award.
The friends you meet are the best youll ever meet. And if the school has a good band and even better, a good drum line like the one I go to, it makes it even better
+Garmo Garmo Good for you Garmo. Glad to here that. I never joined band but I was taught snare by 2 different drum line instructors. I love the drum line and I love playing the snare and drum kit. Good luck with music!!
Jonathan Valente A lot of people hate band, but thats only because they dont understnad it. I uesd to be shy, I had a good ammount of friends, just shjy. After 9th grade and my first year of High school marching band, I can dance in front of the whole student section and idc anymore I just mess around and all. You meet so amny great people. And you go on trips and all. t?His year were oging to TEnnesee so I cant wait for that. You also at football games at half time, at leas at my school, we mingle with theo ther band and so each year you revist them and you say hi and all. Really fun.
+Garmo Garmo hey same with me I used to be shy until 7th grade... when I started band... percussion changed me
Even 9 years later, this is awesome. Wish I was this good.
Thanks for watching!
You guys are awesome. You are skilled individuals and you play excellent as a tenor section as well....
I would have hit the camera so many times
Alex Fred then learn how to play in zones
A lot of you guys are hating of them because it sounds a little sloppy which kind of makes me sad. No one joins drum line to just be a drummer without having fun. Drum line is supposed to be cool an fun, especially if you are jut playing a cadence. If you join drum line just to play and you do not have fun then you are not a real drum line member. I don't care what you guys say. These guys have fast hands and I doubt very much that you guys could play it better than them.
hey I agree but the ones who can play better then them can constructive criticize people get all upset over them hitting the rims a lot go to a DCI comp' good luck with watching someone not hit the rims.
You must not play on a clean drum line because you don't know that playing clean is fun
The Snare_drumming_Pianist thank you! You don’t have to play clean to have fun... for all we know they could be playing this in public for the first time and they seem really excited and that they are having a lot of fun like you said, it’s not strictly business and fundamentals so thanks for standing up for them. I’m on a Drumline and we can barely play this(also because we don’t have hat many people to play tenors) so this is a really fun tune to play only two of us can play it and I’m one of them and I even play bass drum so I just wish that everyone would get off their backs.
You said it my friend. I miss this so much!!!!
Exactly why I’m quitting. My new instructor bases everything we do on his desire to win, because he came from the best school in the state and we’re #2 so he got a dirt easy show and wants it robotic
its so weird without bass
Christian Hornbacher you mean bass
Christian Hornbacher both bass and snare
And snare

ever heard the song marry had a little lamb? well this is called marry had a little drum

Man I miss my old drumline. :/ didn’t realize at the time that those are some of the best memories of my life
There can never be too many of these videos. Another one with the whole section during a football game would be awesome
I had to learn this this year in 7th grade but I moved schools, but I love it so much I will still learn it and show it to my friends
i have been waiting for this for too long!
I loved this introduction, if you say so, it’s not only liking it since 2012, I like this type of instrument a lot, we’re with you brother, 1 more
Last time I checked, everyone plays their own way and does what they love. If they play sloppy to you that's cool. That's your opinion. But if you are a musician, especially a percussionist, you should show support. I know criticism is a big thing in the music industry but I mean come on this is high school. There are bands that are worse and there are bands that are better. Fact of the matter is, we are all musicians and do what we do best and that is play music. I'm sure someone will eventually say something negative to this comment 😂😂😂😂but that isn't my concern and I do not care. I love the cadence and I love drums. Enjoy
Marquis Anderson I agree with you but they’re dirt isn’t an opinion, it’s a fact.
Their* my bad
@Marquis Anderson: "FIRST"
This is the best I think I’ve ever seen the solos played
Guys, you need to chill. If you're tired of seeing these, search for a new video. The guys in this video are just having fun, leave them alone.

Those quad heads are tuned better than the other video that I was watching of the Jig 2 version. Can’t remember which drumline that was. But I love how those are tuned nice and sharp!
Im so addicted to this song... I just cant get it out of my head. I literally catch myself during class playing the beat to this song great vids!!!
Me and one of our drum captains played this and it was awesome
This is cool and idc how much hate everyones giving y’all. Gotta give huge props since I’m a tenor player too.
Thanks for watching!
this is one of the cadences i play (i play tenor). Drumline's lit
People be saying it's kind of messy. No drummer is perfect, and also this one is a lot better than most videos. If you go on youtube, you'll hardly find any better ones out there.
Christopher Tausch thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
I love the gopro views! Great video
wow i randomly watched this on my recommendations and knew it was familiar bc i played it in my highschool band
I really love these videos, I am hoping to do a version of this with my drumline next year.

This was pretty fun to watch!
I just started playing the quad toms and this looks amazing
Best wishes and thanks for watching!
Yo that section where they all played the solo was actually really clean tho
You might think Jig 2 is easy but it's a lot harder than you think so make that clean transition on the solo part. This is the cleanest I've heard it and the articulation is so good!! They did a great job with this. Drum line is not meant for narcissists. Appreciate the effort people put into things.
I'm so excited to for the first half time

TIENE UN EXCELENTE RITMO ESTOS JÓVENES 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Everyone shut up and appreciate how good they are because I bet half of the people playing could play even close to the levels of these guys. Talking about stick heights and visuals and all that. Shut up
Clearly you're one of the people that doesn't understand what's they're doing wrong if people are even bringing up stick height and visuals chances are they know what they're talking about I'm in my 2nd year of drumline and I can do this it's really not as impressive as it's made out to be
Edit: I accidentally said what's instead of what it is
No one is saying they suck
this is making me miss marching band season omg
How people can do this just amazes me!

this is why I play tenor
My school played this drum cadence in marching band last season
How do we get the music for this cause I would love to learn but I'm not the best at sight or hear learning got see it on paper
Just look up Jig 2 Transcribed, it has all the parts written out.

So much hate on a drumline that's doing this for fun and interacting with the crowd. I personally love that they are all having fun and doing their own thing you go oak mountain drumline
we have a little thing in drumline that we play. it's called Little Nicky and everyone loves it when we play it. And yes there is a long story behind the name. we also have Big Burtha, Big Zack, Cheeseburger, Weave Monster, Texas, and Solo....long stories behind all the names but if I tell y'all, yall would prob think we're dumb and hilarious
This video makez me gonna miss my drumline buddies:(( #classof2018
what's the first song before Jig 2
A tenor looks cool but I still prefer the Snare
My man
Am 35 . I just want a set of tenors just to let off some steam. But their so dam experience. And just to have it as a decor in my new house. 😁
Very good
Holy shit the drumming community is so toxic. This is why I play tuba. Everyone is nice here
Alberto Rodriguez The drumming community is not toxic. We're perfectly fine. Yes we have our flaws along with every other section in band, but that doesn't mean we're "toxic"
AiyannaIs Cool it’s not the guys in the video it’s all the people commenting and trashing them because they think they’re better or they feel like something needs to be fixed
Alberto Rodriguez YUH YUH TUBA
Alberto Rodriguez you’re not a drummer so you don’t know shit about our community
You’re my “twin cousin. ” I play the baritone and everyone says it’s the tuba. But I agree with your statement about the drums
Amazing... wowowow 😎😎😍😍
These dudes are really good,i wonder how it seems like the next set of quad players learn the same stand tune for the next game so fast
Awesome
Y’all saying it’s sloppy but I wanna see y’all play jig? It’s hard dude
I'm sorry, but I'm afraid it's not as hard as people make it out to be, and it's certainly not worth the timing issues. It's all about keeping your arms relaxed, and practicing muscle memory to prevent rim clicking. These guys sounded slow and lazy on the chorus and the solos were being rushed and sloppy.
This is awesome guys my.little brother joins drumline and he is only 7 years old
