Nice and quick. Thats the way it should go. Maybe we all should call it a quick fix, you can call it an easy fix, because you have many many years of experience and the right tools.

Excellent job sir! Im a big fan of yours. Because of your videos I learned to fix my broken gadgets. And now I even have my own repair shop at my house. Tho its very hard to obtain new tools, but all worth it. My next target is to have a thermal cam, really comes in handy. But still cannot afford it. Lol Keep inspiring us Sir! Godbless
Very meticulous work, using logic to find the cause of the problem. Work smarter not harder. As usual job well done!

Hello from Romania Transylvania :)
nice job like always. an "EASY" job because of your experience. I already at last I can get mi flir one thermal camera. I'm so happy about it. Thanks for teaching your knowledge.
You know, you can use that thermal camera to look for air leaks around your doors and windows, summer and winter to see where your AC and Heat are escaping. Then you can weatherstrip it or insulate it.
It might even tell you if there is a "Ghost" in your house.
@@robertpage2023 Yes true... I'll keep that in mind. in my house there are strange noises at night. :D
You're amazing!
My favourite:"Look at this, the short is gone. The short is gone... beautiful" 🙈👍💪🏼
Great job mate.

Nice job

يعطيك الصحة✨✨👍
Can we design electronic devices that do not fail on 1 bad capacitor that cost near nothing ?
Alex keep up the good work. Your work extends device lifetime, preventing a lot of electronic waste, natural resource usage and emission reduction. You are more a world saver than you think. Easy fix or not this helps!
It's been my understanding that the mass manufacturing of electronic components are tested and only the best ones are kept back for sale to Military and space uses.
The rest, well, all the game and computer and phones get them for public use.
As in anything manufactured, there is a 'half life" to its span on earth.
Even US..............Just depends upon how well God made YOU.
@@MattyEngland Yes, you are right but until the manufactured component is tested, you don't know what you've got.
Like eggs a chicken lays,
Until they come out of the chicken and you "candle" them, you don't know what you've got.
"Buk, Buk, Bakcak!"
Nice Job
4minutes for you
Takes a day for most of us, including the disassembly and assembly parts that took a lot of time nowadays
Great job as always
The time he mentioned was strictly the 1-volt testing and capacitor replacement.
I have a group of trained monkeys doing my disassembly and assembly.
They work for bananas.
Of course if I work them too hard, they throw there POO at me.
NorthridgeFix, aaaand the short is gone!
T-shirt epic motto :)
The smile after fixing anything is very cute
WELL, If you like him so much, Why don't you marry him!
nice job
Very perfect sir..
Bro Advance Happy Diwali 🧨🎆
and the short is gone ! amazing
thank you
Nice work Alex. When can we see some repairs with the use of an oscilloscope ? Keep up the good work and brilliant content.
No one trying to make money in the digital repair business doing any volume is breaking out the 'scope any time soon. :-)
@@OnStageLighting IF Mr. Alex ever did break out the OS, then I'd like to hear the theme from "The Outer Limits".
nice Vedio ☮️👍
I still think you should put "happy faces" on the parts that you replace.
Of course, a seasonal theme would be nice too such as, since it's Halloween, put a pumpkin Jack O' Lantern face on that cap.
It burned out and you "re-lit it"
HAPPY HALLOWEEN MR. ALEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice Sir.
Awesome
how do you know the value of the cap to replace it ??
same question jaja
what a legend
your awesome man love the content,am shipping my iPhone 8 plus asap I need your help
cool 👍
@NorthridgeFix how much on average would a repair shop charge to replace a xbox one 1697 controller bumper with or without you providing the replacement parts? I was trying to replace it myself but following videos i just cant seem to get both bumpers to hook on ad the edge of the controller
Nice. Better than factory
Wow that was a easy fix :p
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Alex Seal Team 6 type of execution 🤜
Question When do you clean the pads before adding new component and when you just add new (low melt) solder.
I'm not Northridge Fix, but it doesn't matter generally spoken. I would only remove all completely, if I need a flat clean surface (soldering Port pins and IC) or when the solde is "used".
Hello. I m interested to know which thermal camera do you have
Alex, do you vent your fumes to an outside source? I'm starting a new shop in kc in a small space and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to ventilate the small office
You need a Fume extractor with HEPA filter. No need for windows. The Filter will take in the bad fumes and output good air. Without a HEPA filter bad fume will go in the fume extractor and come out unfiltered.
Hi, firstly thank you for all the amazing content. Have been watching and following for some time.
I have a question please. My Macbook Pro suddenly died so decided to do some testing from watching your videos.
I have found Capacitors and components connected to PPVCC_S0_CPU and PPVCCIO_S0_CPU all shorted to Ground.
Does this mean the CPU is dead??
Thanks.
Just came across your channel and video "randomly" (I'm sure the algorithm is watching and knows exactly what I need, ha!) ... I have a USB C x360 laptop that I've loved that just stopped turning on. I see blinking from the port when I plug in. I've let it sit for months and then it randomly allowed me to turn on and I was able to get all my data off of it. Now won't turn on again. Would love to see if this can be repaired! How do we send in for assessment? Cheers!
Easy fix for the pro just like you.
Sir alex where is big boss? Is he still with you? Amazing repair again :)
والله بطل
great
"FHE SHORT IS GONE" follow by short laugh, that was epic👍
"the short is gone" always makes me laugh and feel this should be on a shirt or something :)
how did you know the value of the cap? you can guide for the size, color or what? thx in advance
Sir i forgot to ask you about heating temperature when your dealing with thin board like xbox controller board what should good
Just wondering are you using a hot plate when removing the components (mosfet, capacitor, etc). Thanks.
seek,attack,fix. brilliant
Always always when he smile after any fix i tend to do the same 🙂
OH, you know you love him, don't you! YES! YOU DO!
ADMIT IT!
I know I do.............HA!!!
excellent.
What thermal camera do you recommend?
If only you could bottle your knowledge and sell it across the world. Nice job
No, instead he's video taping his knowledge for FREE!
SEE IT! LEARN IT! KNOW IT!
Then, USE IT! But only for good.
Curious as to why all of a sudden laptops are dying from shorted capacitors...For years they were, in my experience, rock solid. I've had to replace a few keyboards and batteries on Dell laptops with 4th Gen Intel cpus but out of the close to 2 dozen I've worked on only 1 was dead and it was clearly liquid damaged.
Yeah, like mine has damaged gpu from overheating. Not from damaged capacitors.
Is it from production flaw?
What causes are cause of the short on that area?
How can I get those work shop tools
Model of your thermal camera please?
Hi Alex my hp laptop dc jack light is on but the laptop won't turn on no fan spinning nothing thank u for any suggestions I am uk based unfortunately
Whot kind of camera temperature do you use?
Definitely hotter than body temperature (98.6F) on the low side and just less than boiling water temp on the high side (212 F)
How did you find the value of the dead capacitor?
@@kikihun9726 YEP ! YOU said it Sir!
You should make video on this and explain to us all
Question
How do i know what is a capacitor and what is a filter whats de difference?
According to your experience and the amount of laptops you repair everyday. What do you think which laptop is best in terms of having less issues.
I see you get asus and dell laptops every other day. But i feel I have never seen any hp probook laptop and less number of hp laptops except hp spectre.
What is your opinion on this??
Thanks.
I've got a Dell Optiplex 9020 motherboard that was short circuited by a WIFI card's Bluetooth cord. I already bought a replacement but now ive just got a random dead motherboard laying around my bedroom lol. im from AU so I probably wont be able to send it all the way over the globe. know of any decent motherboard repair stores in Australia?
In a situation when u don't have same donor boars, no schematic. No idea what value the cap is, what do u do? Take a random cap of same size and try?
