I think Zilliax was loved so much, despite the fact its high play rate, because it felt as a fair card. A very good card at the time but still fair. It's different than Denathrius or Astalor per example, that felt as too oppressive and/or inevitable win cons
It was definitely one of those tools that saw a 50%+ usage rate because of its splashability rather than being egrigiously overpowered. Just worked on so many different lists even if they had no mechs. That and as you said, Zilliax wasn't really a win condition. It could swing games but it wasn't going to come down on an empty board and deal 20 damage or something.
Kibler made a good point on his video that DH is the main one to blame for the 1 health cards, since they can spend only 1 mana to kill a 1 health minion
Crazy to think that Reno decks never became meta in the recent Standard environment yet we've always had at least 1-2 meta Reno archetypes in Wild since its inception. They really should have printed more highlander support or also brought Zephrys into the core set
chundo does stocks? chundo does crypto? chundo does hearthstone! great vid format and soothing voice. maybe look at which card gets on base more, that OBP is crucial for your deck! buy wins not cards!
To be fair, Emergency Maneuvers make Hanar even more annoying than Pack Tactics. You get to keep him for another turn and opponent can't do anything about it. The thing that makes Hanar slightly worse is lack of Paladin secrets.
It's all good, I could not imagine doing a better job at covering usefulness of so many cards at once in such a short video, and with humorous twists. Definitely made my breakfast better :D
I think fiery war axe could still get the revert because they haven't done the "standard rotation nerf revert" announcement yet but I just don't know if there's enough interest in a 2 mana 3/2 vanilla weapon
Hopefully they nerf secrets overall this next few months of the new core set. Objection in particular is gonna be even more annoying to play against Copium
Hell yeah a core set review where the dude doesn't just sit there and read what cards do
those card reading videos do hit the spot sometimes

Yeah Zilliax was never the win condition like those other cards. Just nice to have

That’s a very good point
best format for a core set video i've ever seen. love the change of pace of hearthstone content
Glad you liked it

Yeah. I guess you need access to a ton of cards to make the drawback not so bad
why have i not found you eariler?! your content is so informative, thought through & well edited. love it!

That’s a good point about emergency maneuvers. Yeah, I should have mentioned how the lack of 1 cost Paladin secrets makes hangar worse

Hopefully warrior gets a total re-hual 😅
yeah idk what they’re cooking over there

Ohhh that is true
Krag'wa the frog. Shaman players didn't really care for the rotation but pure paladins players... That was rough.
Wow this is peak hearthstone content. I kneel...
Thanks! (you don’t need to kneel)

I thought the wild reverts haven't been announced. How do you know FWA won't go back to 2?
we do know it's out of standard, though
Oh yeah that’s true. Guess I just assumed
@@roses10k wouldn't this make a revert more likely?

Yeah objection really added a super annoying wrinkle
Only annoying in wild

This was written before all the warrior cards were released. But who knows! They could be good?
@@mrchundo I meant the warrior core set seems pretty mediocre, moreso
