In this video of Easy Japanese Vlog, I went to Tokyo by 新幹線 Shinkansen. I use mostly from Genki 1 and Genki 2 textbook. It's perfect for Japanese listening comprehension practice especially for JLPT N5, N4.

It's frustrating to find UA-cam content that I can fully understand with new words only here and there, so it isn't overwhelming. I've fully repped the N5/N4 Anki decks, and have done a bit more beyond that (N3 + mined several of my own words), but other videos are still depressing because there is a lot I struggle to understand. Thank you for your continued efforts, we all appreciate you.

Yep, totally agree. My dream is to come to Japan, to study this pleasant language in the language school. While I save my money (in my country it is hard to do :D) I Learn Japanese from home and watch your, Shun, podcasts and videos. I am not struggling; I understand ~95% of everything - and one day my dream will come true.

Shun’s videos are the only ones I can watch fully as other beginner videos are way too difficult and I give up. My listening comprehension skills aren’t good but I enjoy Shun’s videos and always learn new grammar from them.

I agree Shun's videos are easier than most "beginner" content, and it's very helpful. You might also want to try the "Complete Beginner" videos from Comprehensible Japanese channel.

Congrats on your brother's wedding! You stayed at the Hotel New Otani! I went there to see the Edo era garden lit up at night. I made the mistake of going on 成人の日 and there were crowds of young women in kimono (but no guys😥) filling that same lobby and hall you are walking through in the video! It was a claustrophobic experience, but the garden and the kimono-clad girls were very pretty. いつもありがとうございます。明けましておめでとう！

The hotel is too expensive for me, so I only went to the Edo era garden that comprises part of the hotel’s property. 🤩
