    I love it when I see DIYers creating Steampunk themes. I started a Steampunk Cat project years ago and set it to the side unfinished. I brought it out last week determined to finish it.

    OMG... You amaze me every week and out do yourself all the time. I WILL be making that wall lamp maybe two of them and that mirror as well. What a wonderful way to make a BEAUTIFUL WALL MIRROR for pennies of what it would cost to buy one from a furniture store or even Walmart. If you had one of them slim long lights you could add it above it and add even more of a ritzy vibe. Blessings!

    Hello Otis! The salamander was cute! Love that it is blue! Love the mirrors! The wood block, metal plant hanger and plastic bowl, WOW! A little extra light without using electricity! The earring holder will come in handy. Not able to wear earrings in my ears, but I can wear them on my head wrap as a touch of extra color. Now need something for long necklaces. Already have something for bracelets. Thank you for sharing this. Had fun watching things progress, even with some of the problems involved with some items not being cooperative. LOL!

    Hi! New here, so this may already be a thing, but have you ever explained your tattoos? Just curious.
    I struggle with a lot of mental health issues. In the hospital, we have the option to do some crafting as a form of recreation therapy. I've been trying to do more at home, which is how I stumbled on your videos. I recently found a frame at Dollar Tree that held 3 4x6 photos. I realized if I cut out the image on the "Bee Kind" reusable shopping bag, it fit perfectly in there. I thought it was a good depression craft: ridiculously easy, but I still felt like I was doing something and ended up with a pretty result, which improved my mood. I also found 2 packs of 6x8 paint by numbers paintings for around $7 at Walmart. Again, it's taken me a while to even complete one, but it does help when I'm doing it. So I'm looking for more crafts to do so I can help distract myself when the really bad thoughts come, you know? So I guess I'll be stalking your channel for ideas. I'm sure my therapist is glad I found you too. Thanks for doing what you do ❤

    • @TheCraftyDIYGuy
      @TheCraftyDIYGuy  Місяць тому +1

      Hey There and YES, I fully understand this because I do struggle with depression as well. I have motivational quotes and saying throughout my house. Even on post-it notes on the bathroom, inside of a cabinet door, etc. Just to remind myself. I have a gratitude journal (nothing fancy, you can even use a spiral notebook) and I write three things in the book every day I am thankful for. It could be the most random of things, I am grateful for my good nights sleep, I am grateful for my warm coffee, I am grateful for a hot shower, I am grateful I saw a butterfly this morning while sitting on the porch. What this does it helps train your brain to show and recognize how much we really do have and it can be the simplest things. I also have a vision board which I highly recommend doing. Google this if you aren’t familiar with it. I update mine every year.
      So, I have a total of 10 tattoos - my little secret I am sharing with you, LOL. The ones you probably see are on my arms the most?
      On my left arm I have 4. I have a Tonka Truck on my shoulder, for my grandpa when he passed away. It was my favorite toy growing up and my grandfather owned a trucking company, so it was a way to honor him and some really cool memories. I have the word BELIEVE on my forearm to remind myself to believe in myself. Under that tattoo is a tattoo of an arrow to remind me of my favorite quote “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined.” ~Henry David Thoreau and then I also have one on my wrist that is a math formula of sorts that is G + M x I = D10 this means if you live in a stat of GRATTITUDE it is going to MULTIPLY in your life as long as you have good INTENSION behind it, you will see it be DEMONSTRATED 10 fold in your life.
      On my right side I have a Glue Gun because of UA-cam, Crafting and all of you guys changing my life. I also have map coordinates that go to my grandmother’s house, on my shoulder I have a mountain scape, this is for my other grandmother who lived in the mountains of Tennessee. I sadly lost all of my grandparents in 2017. My other tattoos are on my calf (a sunshine and the first one I ever got) and I have a paw print on my back shoulder for my old cat Chloe-Bella, she used to lay on my back every morning in the spot where that tattoo is of her paw. And yes, I do plan to get more soon!  
      LASTLY, I do see a therapist through BetterHelp.com which has been a big change for me, I did a collab with them recently and they are giving a discount to subscribers that want to sign up for services. You can do it via phone, messaging, or video chat, I really like it.I am happy to search for that video and share that link with you.
      Blessings and Hugs my friend. Thank you for sharing and I am glad you are here. You are welcome to email me anytime at TheCraftyDIYGuy@gmail.com

    And if I can make a suggestion I hope you won't take this be mean because I was just when you made the mistake on the other side with the paper. Why not put a magnifying mirror on the other? Somebody needs something. It's just an idea. Cause magnifying mirrors. I love mine so I can flip it around and see something close up.. That way no one would ever know the difference of a magnifying mirror it just has to be smaller to fit around that it doesn't have to be quite as big as your regular mirror but I think the magnifying mirror would be perfect on the other side.
