I have rented ( unofficially) a Mahindra SUV for 5 weeks when I was in India a few years ago. I was driving myself ( it was an Herculean task) ; no chauffeur . Of all the midsize SUVs I have driven by various manufacturers in the world, Mahindra is the best. Besides having a great engine, it’s handling is superb. It hugs to the road. It’s rolling and pitching are exact. Above all, it has most excellent ride comfort in almost all terrains. Most of the time you don’t even feel that you are in a SUV. Well, I am a car guy.

I am not a resident of India. I drove the vehicle for more than 1600 km , mostly on the high ways visiting places in the southern part of India. I owned and operated auto repair garage ( not in India) for more than 35 years ; had the experiences of driving vehicles of almost all major manufacturers, low and high end vehicles. Only a few mid sized SUVs had the experience of driving the Mahindra SUV. I am in no way connected to Mahindra brand in any manner except that I am proud of this Indian manufacturer who could make a vehicle that can match with foreign manufacturers. Okey.

It always amazes me how different manufacturers "test in aussie conditions" but every auto 4WD needs an aftermarket transmission cooler if towing even a small trailer anywhere except around town......

    • @rsoul7282

Bullshit, my Hilux tows a service trailer with ease, while carrying a canopy, toolboxes, parts, fluids, steel bullbar, accessories. Up and down highways, into dusty and hot mine sites. Speak not of which thy have precious little knowledge.

Wish we could have em here in the States. Almost everything here is priced way above what you will use the car for. Everything here is mostly set up to transport fat overweight Americans and their families. I'd love something simple and rugged like a Mahindra.

A third of the video and we've seen more of the Ford than the Mahindra. Not a fair review. Is it a CVT transmission? Is it 4WD? Power steering? 4 wheel disc brakes? Adjustable lumber support seats? Spare wheel? Can take a winch? Engine size and power? Fuel economy? Were Ford happy with this review of the Mahindra?
