- PLOT
THE CHORAL takes place in Ramsden, Yorkshire, 1916. The chorus master and most of the men of the ambitious local Choral Society have volunteered for the front, so under the direction of the demanding, driven Dr. Guthrie (Fiennes), the Choral recruits a crop of teenage boys and girls. Together they discover the joys of singing and the urgency of desire as the new boys come to terms with their imminent conscription into the army. THE CHORAL explores the humor and humanity at the heart of a community facing an uncertain future.
Directed by Nicholas Hytner and written by BAFTA- and Tony-winning playwright and screenwriter Alan Bennett. The film will star a celebrated cast: Academy Award® nominee and BAFTA winner Ralph Fiennes, Academy Award® and BAFTA winner Jim Broadbent, and BAFTA winner Simon Russell Beale.

I had a mate who got a note through his door telling him that a film crew would be filming in his street next Thursday
So he scaffolded his house and started painting it - the film company had to bung him £4k to take it down
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@AY-Audits love it 😂
Love this 😂👍
Nothing like spending your life being a pain in the arse
@@fidgetspinner343 You clearly dont live near places used as film sets, try moving around Oxford in the summer, nothing but a pain who think they own the place
So many people standing around doing nothing (not actors) no wonder these things cost millions, also I always wondered what the cameras look like to make films so thanks for doing this.👍👏😄
😅🤦🏻♂️
It cost the taxpayers millions for the private film companies to do any filming in public, because it shuts down public highways and public transportation then they sell the movie and make millions
"We'll do it ler-jit-ley" Lol !!!
*The Choral* starring *Ralph Fiennes* and *Jim Broadbent* who have both filmed in *Bradford* before, with *Jim* filming here at least 5 times.
It's just one of at least 4 film and TV productions to have filmed in *Bradford* over the last 30 days, at least 3 of which were still filming this week.
The other 3 productions are: *Virdee* (starring Staz Nair), *Giant* (starring Pierce Brosnan), and *Gandhi* (starring Pratik Gandhi and Tom Felton).
Both your 'honesty & your directness are as refreshing as ever, AY!
Undoubtedly! & thanks AY
What a great video loved all the old clothes etc ❤
That zoom is ridiculous 🔥
Practically everyone from *Harry Potter* has filmed in *Bradford* except *Daniel Radcliffe* (Harry Potter) and *Emma Watson* (Hermione Granger), however I don't want them here anyway. They're both hypocritical lefties.
Great video Kev. Good knowledge of the railway guidelines and byelaws
Thanks 👍
@@AY-Auditsglad you were okay with Jonny, nice lad known him years
Hi is Jack I saw u that day and you gave me a key ring thank you for that ❤
Jack who moved?
Ace one that Kev, i follow the Leeds Pals trail from where those young boys got on the train at Leeds to the now disused station at Masham, they then had to walk the 8 mile to Colsterdale camp to train for the trench war before they departed for France, most never returned to Leeds and lay in graves or lost in the fields. Great content mate, Robbo 👌👍
Nice 1 apparently they didn't like you. Well boo hoo cos we do
I love this, it's right up my street, I hate people telling me what to do too, unfortunately I do work for someone and it drives me mad, always wanted to make the break and work for myself. There's nothing worse than people telling you what to do when they have no right.. some people are absolute sausages...
Cannot wait for this one M.B .and NNY did the saltaire film set near Bradford the other day it was brilliant ..loved it 👏👏👏
I did it before them 😂
@@AY-Audits yes they were told by the guy in the black hoodie with the beard .I won't tell you what he said although it's on M.B. video 😮 .😊
It will be in my video tomorrow@@lynnblackburn2720
*in Bradford
I bet that shyte goes straight to dvd
I bet it's on BBC One and BBC iPlayer by 2026...
...or 2027 at the latest.
However I'm willing to bet it will be decent, as all Alan Bennett films are 6's or 7's out of 10.
Absolutely bloody fantastic Kev.
I’d say love to jump on a train up to you and spend the day filming, but unfortunately I’m really sick and can’t travel too far.
Anyhow, top notch video 👍👍👍👍👍
Thankyou
Swanage Railway is holding a special event with steam trains soon.I think 🤔 it's a one off.
Ralph Fiennes (pronounced Fines) I can't believe you don't know who he is 😮
He's the quintessential British baddie in a lot of films.
First world war 1914-1918
Very interesting attitude he sparks off with at 22:00. Seems to want conflict and nothing else.
Yep defo
🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You.have much better footage fabulous 👌
Countdown
Yes it's set in WW1, Jim broadbent and Ralph finnes
WOW 😲😳 that was so rude of that young man ,kev , you should have said something he interrupted your conversation 😮how ignorant 😮,that's one of my pet hates, rude people 😮
Yes very arrogant individual he was
Who would want or need to talk to you
I think their filming father ted
Think you and DJ audits should have a race on your e bikers
Peaky Blinders film?
No, *Peaky Blinders* are actually filming in *Birmingham* for a change...
The first time they will have filmed *Peaky Blinders* in *Birmingham* contrary to what most people believe.
Most of *Peaky Blinders* was actually filmed in *Bradford,* again contrary to what most people believe, with one of the locations being the canal and the towpath next to the canal, between the two Salts Mill buildings on either side of the canal (only one of which is still part of Salts Mill), which can sort of be seen in todays video, although he doesn't film the canal itself.
That location always involved Freddie and Ada.
Oh no lefties we can't have this! A film about the First World War without one black or trans person! Get the film shut down immediately.
🤣🤣🤣
Down with this sort of thing!
There were black soldiers in World War One. It must be painful for you and all the other entitled dweebs to be living in modern times. Embarrassing.
Can't wait for the weekend bro meet up with you guys honestly
this film will probably be another flop cos its crap just like most british films its hard to find a british film on dvd let a lone vhs and never on blu/ray some one going to say james bond films, nope its us money Danjaq is the US based company that co-owns, with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, the copyright to the existing James Bond films and controls the right to produce future James Bond films.
*Alan Bennett's* films are all decent, however none of them are great.
😅
