HM Jollies - an old nickname for the Royal Marines. Alford composed this match , as Director of Music , Plymouth Division. , RM. It incorporates the bugle calls of the Chatham, Portsmouth, and Plymouth Divisions.
Excellent rendition of Action Front, with thoroughly rich Teutonic brass, and a superb interplay of bass and woodwind in the trio.
A fine band, that produces a great sound, with an excellent woodwind section. Military music at its best!
