In tears again. You have done it again. I appreciate your walking so that we may see and hear this utterly heavenly sight and sound. No one inspires greater love, admiration and respect, than our beloved Household Cavalry. And here are ALL the darlings in the Parade! Enchanting. Adored it. Thank you Troopers, helmeted and forelocked. And thank you very much.❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Magical sight and sound
Totally amazing watching these beautiful creatures and total respect to the troopers also
Hello from Upper-Austria! Great video showing my favorite Guards! Thank You very much and have a nice sunday!
Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity to share in seeing all the guardsmen and those gorgeous horses. I sometimes forget to hit the Like button, but there isn’t a day that I’m not following you and your cameras all over England. I never get tired of seeing those horses with their Kings Guardsmen astride… keep up the good work!! I’m in Michigan in America!!
I'm astounded
Such majestic creatures … everything about them says pristine beauty …
As a child my mother would have had me following them with a shovel and brush ..collecting the manure for her roses … lucky for me them days are long gone 😆
What surprises me, is the folk many of, filming on phones! Enjoy the moment as it is!! Plenty of later replays 😮
Not everyone using the phones will be available for the next time.
Awsome haven't seen the police horse Brutus lately hope hes ok. Miss him hes a gorgeous
Lord Mountbatten once explained that military units with the most tradition and ceremonial do well in battle. This is not about entertaining tourists, is about making young men feel special and not wanting to fail their regiment.
What a heavenly sound to my mortal ears!!!
wow as always the Guards 💂♂️ are amazing you wouldn't believe how much time and preparation goes in to the polishing and Buffing up every part of there uniforms and I know because my dad was in the Coldstream Guards 💂♂️ and he would spend hours on polishing every part of his uniform and hours on his boot's alone . including his Bear skin .and the hours getting these horses to tip top condition. Well done you are a credit to the whole of the British people.
Yes indeed so proud of them.
Nice sunday evening! So gorgeous this video! The Blues and Royals riding to the Parade with their wonderful horses, the clip-clopping of the hooves sounds so lovely. The best sight and way to close this sunday. Thank you very much for filming and have a nice week!!
Good Sunday, Alba 🙂
@@charlottecunningham2141Ciao Charlotte, beautiful video isn't it? Lovely to see at the end of this hot sunday. Wish you a very nice week, good night!!

Jako vzdy perfektní video,je vidět že jste mladý, ostatní by nedali jit celou cestu ... nevím proč,ale miluji Blue Royal, krása.Dik pozdrav z Česka ❤
Five hundred years ago would have looked the same, wouldn’t they? If true, what a beautiful historic event! Think of the discipline it takes to ride together as cohesively these horse persons have gotten to transport together.
Well less than 400 years and the present uniform was designed by Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's husband.
@@peterbrown1012 very cool 😎. Thanks
As stated previously here, the Troopers of both the 'Life Guards' and 'Blues & Royals' can trace their origins back to the middle of the 1600's and by way of Regimental amalgamations of their predecessors they have arrived at what you see today, this being the same as most 'modern' Regiments or Corps within the British Army. After each amalgamation the new uniform would reflect aspects of their predecessors uniforms to maintain their link with the past. The two uniforms here reflect many, many features of each's Regiments previous history. Blues & Royals (dark uniform) have their origins as a Heavy Cavalry Regiment and this is kept today with it's preference for slightly 'heavier' mounts than the 'Life Guards'. Every bit of their uniform has a reason why it is so, or is different, and reflects over 350 years of jealously guarded history of their origins. The design of the uniform is NOT Disney to look spectacular.
❤❤❤
One of the main reasons for having that King's Life Guard is, the gate where the two mounted sentries guard used to be the original eterance to Buckingham Palace. Originally Marble arch ( at the bottom of Edgeware Road) was built to be the archway to Buckingham Palace but it was to narrow. If you look inside the ar h, you will still be able to see the scratches where the wheel bosses of Queen Victoria's carriage's gouged into the walls.
That is the Officer in charge of the Buckingham Palace Detachment of the Kings Guard, his accommodation is in St. James’s Palace Officers Mess and his only way of getting there is by walking there and back.
Lovely job of filming. Have a great day from 🇺🇲.
Merci beaucoup pour vos films j’aime bien les regarder Ils sont faciles Pas de mouvement brusque on a l’impression que tout se fait en douceur c’est vraiment agréable continuez.
Beautiful
Dang missed the guards walking in the other direction. Oh well can't catch it all have a nice day thank you great job. Until next time be safe.
Look around the 5:00 minute mark
I dont understand the title of this video very confusing to be honest, but thanks for posting it I am a fan anyway.
I still can't get used to seeing some Guards having a Beared.
Awesome to see the horses but your title is a bit misleading. That happens two or three times a week in both directions. Those going to take up Guard duty at Horse Guards and those who have been relieved and are returning to barracks. 12 in each troop.
Well this is a short guard, the monarch is not in residence, when he is, it is a long guard with the extra guards being an officer, a Staff Corporal carrying the Squadron Standard and a trumpeter.
Where's the bit that astounds the public? This is an everyday occurrence
If you have never seen it before like many that were there, then perhaps it does impress one.
Das reiten bringt mehr Power!!😊
🏰
Hello from across the pond in the Midwest. Just curious what is the history behind them standing for a half hour at change times.
While the ceremony is on the guard is still on, 4 troopers and the junior NCO leave the parade to take over duties from the old guard, the 2 dismounted guards then have to mount their horses and the 4 old guard join the parade.
What is the occasion?
I have a question about an addition to their uniform. The metal, is it a breastplate and is this for extra protection because of all the violence lately?
I thought the breastplates have been a thing for ages
It is part of the uniform but only worn when mounted.
@@charlottecunningham2141 I'm not sure since I only recently saw videos like this every day. I live in Virginia lol.
@@peterbrown1012 Thank you, I'm fairly new to these videos so when I saw them I thought maybe they were under some sort of threat.
It all seems pretty pointless to those who have no idea why they are doing this stuff. I'm a Brit but it might be nice if there were some kind of explanation for the various procedures - otherwise it all looks like a lot of nonsense ! Seems all to be designed as a lot of parading around in your pretty costumes rather than any obvious method to their 'madness' !
What an amazing sight to see the blues and royals on their way what is the van for behind them
Elle s’aere ……. 😂!!! Monique 🇫🇷
I think it’s for any trooper that needs help before the group gets to Horseguards but I thought it odd that it passed the troopers 😂
I miss Jeffrey
12 horsemen? Not quite full force,
Are you one of the twin rats who steel from the guards
Une constatation ……. Un individu n’aime pas la France. ….. mes commentaires : sautent depuis un moment ! Faisons des recherches ! ……… 🤐 🤔 🤓 pierre .

@@onegudman7they do it for the attention-even negative attention is still attention :)
@@onegudman7 you are of course totally wrong. The thousands of visitors to London every day absolutely love it, so do those of us who can only watch on UA-cam.
@@maybarnard1088 you misunderstood my comment. It was directed at someone boasting they were the first to comment, not at the video itself.
What percentage of these horses
Colts
Fillies
Mares
We must keep all these traditions going
I know some of the young ‘snowflakes’ don’t care but most do.
These traditions also bring in the £’s from tourism
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🏴🏴🏴😃😃😄😄😊😊👍 👍
These horses are mostly geldings and a few mares. They are Irish Shires with a little bit of warm blood mixed in. As far as I'm aware the army don't breed them they simply select the biggest and the best from other breeders.
@@maybarnard1088 thanks for info
They look ‘happy’ as well
My maternal relative had 3 broher in laws
One went to drive trucks in the South West for what was the Milk Marketing Board but the other 2
One was in the Blues and Royals and the other was in the Life Guards
I’m talking around 60 years ago
How can one say that 12 mounted Guardsmen is a full force. Wasted 20 minutes of my time.
Troopers not Guardsmen.
They are going to do a round of watch duty at Horse Guards. The rider at the back is the one in charge, he's a Corporal of Horses. Household Cavalry doesn't have sergeants. Google it.
But it was still lovely to see, especially when you don't live in London 😊
