So, to use this in conjunction with a Tablo, which will wirelessly connect three tvs, do I plug the antenna coax into this and then use another piece of coax out to the Tablo?
I bought a new lip mix repack damn fire inside says it has a little thing you can turn to change the amplifier if you necessary but there is nothing in the three holes to turn no trim or pod or nothing why is that
I'm insalling my antenna on the roof. Can i insall the amplifier in the basement then split to two tvs. The run from the antenna to the basement will be about 40' Thanks
Does a shorter vs longer run from the antenna to this amplifier impact signal strength or is the total distance more important? I’m not sure if it’s better to locate this preamp in the attic closest to my rooftop antenna vs a longer run closer to my tv and modem locations.
WE recently bought the newest Dat Boss LR #149884 Televes antenna. I read a lot of reviews on it and it was recommended to us by an antenna expert. This said, There was 1 reviewer said that THIS Televes amp was NOT weatherproof to be able to be mounted outside-(IMHO thats where "most" homes inlet from the antenna is going to a splitter and in turn going to the separate cable lines that go into the home's multiple TV outlets) (OURS is this way) I have no easy way to get 120volt current TO the plug on the amp outside and asked my antenna pro what I could do. He advised me to get a special splitter to use INSIDE my home along with the Televes amp. I have ordered this special splitter and we plan on installing the system this weekend. Thoughts?
With the DATBOSS LR, you get something that looks like the item in the picture. It's the power supply for the built-in amplifier. It's confusing that Televes uses the same chassis for both things, but they are different. With the antenna you bought, the amplifier is built into the antenna and the power supply, the thing in the white case, is intended to be used inside. You do not need to put that part outside. Use coax cable with a solid copper center conductor to connect the two so there is minimal power loss. Again you do not need to put that part outside, it is not intended for it.
I think whoever said that is confused. The amplifier is built into the antenna. A lot of people think the white plastic box that plugs into the wall is the amplifier. It isn't. All it does is power the amplifier. It can be 50-75 feet from the antenna and still work, from inside. I'm not sure which special splitter you're talking about, but you should be able to connect the white plastic box inside, run RG6 with a solid copper center conductor to the antenna, and it should work.
Also is there a system that would be kinda like the genie where you can have a DVR in the living room with receivers in like 3 bed rooms on the same coax network. And be able to view recordings in all rooms.
We recommend the Tablo for streaming to a mobile device, and for a standalone to a TV... there are not any really stellar solutions unless you want to pay a lot.
@@josepht3396 This amplifier is designed to deal with long runs from the antenna to the TVs, or multiple TVs from a smaller antenna. I think you should leave it in.

We do have pole mounted preamps at Solid Signal. This is a distribution amplifier intended for use inside.
I have 2 tvs I want to connect do I still need this amplifier or can I just use a normal two-way splitter instead?
It depends on your installation. If you have under about 35 feet between TVs you may be able to use just a splitter. Every install is different.

TiVo has a system like that.
Can i connect SAT antenna or radio band freq.?
It's not designed for satellite frequncies. It would probably work for FM but not AM.
I have this antenna connected to an AirTv2. Is the amplifier necessary?
Every installation is going to be different. You might need it or you might not.

why only two TVs getting amplification with three outputs? only 6Db per out
The amp is intended to be used near a TV, so that output has no amplification. The other two would go to other rooms so they get amplification.
