I've have been a Toriphile since the beginning she is one of my therapist. I so needed to hear this song. Especially the part "Girls you got to know when it times to turn the page". I thank the God's and GODDESS for sending such an Amazing teacher in my life!!!
Still one of my favorite songs of all time, after all these years. It's poetry meets musical passion & power. If I live to be 105, I'll still be listening to it.
Living with a Northern Lad (Manchester) for the last 25 years, in the PNW. Where it f'ing rains all winter. This song is so dead on true it guts me. Every time.
katie, tori speaks to you through this song.....this is a song of longing and moving on - of which we all can relate. side note, i get what you said....;-)
Katie, I' m still getting over my first love and it's been 25 years. I don't think you ever get past your first true love. They are who you'll stand up against all your future lovers - to measure the intensity level of your feelings.... In all these years - and men, I have not met his match and I still ache for him. I don't think I can ever get over it - but I can definitely move on......
There are way bigger tori fans than me that would argue to the contrary, but as someone who was with her through Scarlett's walk, Choirgirl was definitely her finest work from that era. It had the pop sensibilities and production values gained through her first few albums, without going off the self-indulgent artistic rails of her later works.
At the age of 14 years old.a really good friend of mine introduced me to a friend of hers. From that day forward we started dating. She always spoke of Tori Amos and how she was her favorite musician. Before that summer was over, we were hanging out and she sang the song to me. And that was a night I fell in love with her. We were together until our early twenties. We still keep in contact till this day And I also have a lot of Tori Amos on many different playlist.
Matt Jones I don't hear this in all her versions, but in this particular one I've always heard, "if you could see me now...said if you, could dream at all" for the last chorus. What am I hearing?
how are you getting on with liquid diamonds&spark matt?, i love the way you pace things, sorry if i've taken over your videos, had aLOT on my mind lately
+Katie Rebecca Wilson LOL I am actually making a video as we type, but not one of those (though it's another one you may like!) I have yours slotted to do tomorrow :) Which would you like to see first, Spark or Liquid Diamonds? I was going to do Spark since that was the one you requested first, but it's up to you.
+Mika Buell As far as I can tell, Alamo was only released in the UK? (Talula single) I'm having trouble finding a copy of the song that isn't a live version, but I'm looking! :)
Ach! This is one of THE great vocal performances! The power and beauty of Tori's voice...!

why almost every Tori clip has a few dislikes? it's pointless to hate her. she is far from perfect but hating her is just stupid
She is achingly perfect to me in every way.
I love this song. So do my neighbours 😉
This and Putting the Damage On... My heart... Have you done that song yet love? You have to do PTDO!
That's one of my favorite songs - ever. I can't even talk about how much I love it I will totally cry, but yes... I do need to do that...

Got a Tori song you'd like to request, well....go ahead and do it silly! :)

Maybe ... "Could hear me now" instead of dream at all.... I can almost hear that, and it makes more sense.
Every time I listen though, I can't escape the word "dream"
La scopro adesso. E' perfetta.
