Mr. Prime, I have a suggestion. If the price for something is known, include it on the specs section. If it isn't known yet you could put N/A or something.
Update to some replies I've seen: 1) Put a disclaimer that the price can change. 2) If it's placed in the video specs section people still have to watch the video to see it. So it wouldn't affect his view count (I think).
for real, I can't even find it on the amazon link
price usually goes up when he makes a video
1,629 for the one in stock on amazon. Eta intentionally does not list the prices because he knows if he does no one will watch the video all the way through if they see whatever item he is reviewing is way out of most people budgets, which for a lot of his videos is true.
@@air1burn prices are usually far out of most of his viewers anyway. Thats why he doesnt list. The model kn stock on amazon is 1629 dollars.
@ryecatcher25
He does post prices, but not on all devices especially the expensive indegogo ones. He mentioned the price of the ayaneo air plus being on $239 for the pentium version and $269 for the i3 version. And he showcases the price on cheap $149 emulation devices like the retroid poket 3+.
Great review! I would like to see a comparison video of all the 6800u handhelds once they are all out.
With the progress handhelds have made the last 2 years is so encouraging. Every new device reviewed makes me feel better about wating for RDNA 3 APUs next year. Once handhelds get the new APUs Im all in. So excited. Not to mention with sulfer batteries coming out lext year.... Man that would be a god dream come true.
I thought there wasn't any solid release window for RDNA3 APU's yet?
Really glad to see these devices start getting made almost as frequent as Chinese retro handhelds. It assures us that if Nintendo won't give us a proper next gen Switch that we all want; these manufacturers most certainly will in given time!
Unfortunately outside of enthusiasts most won't even give these devices a look. Especially at those prices.
love the design , love the screen , love the performance, waiting for that comparison
I think this is the best looking hand-held I've seen so far. I'm loving the look of this beast.
Thanks for another great video ETA! Looking to do a review on this unit soon too!
Man this handheld look absolutely awesome...but I got a steamdeck...and I'm super happy with it👌🏻💯
Excited for the 6800u comparison. They all seem so similar in performance
There's a refurbished model for $700 right now... Seems like a pretty incredible value
Glad to see 6800u handhelds making it to market. It’s a good time to be a handheld gamer! Thanks AMD!
Shame that these are so expensive compared to something like the steam deck. I'd massively prefer this over the steam deck but I just can't afford it.
@@JudeTheUA-camPoopersubscribe the Steam Deck is clearly the best value out there and for $500 or so you really can't go wrong. So I wouldn't feel too bad not being able to afford one of these. You could check out the base model Ayaneo Geek though, it's like $750 I think. I ordered the Ayaneo 2 because I wanted the premium parts and feel, but the Geek has the same 6800u but costs a couple hundred less. You'll then be missing the (mostly) great Steam Deck community though, which is a big benefit.
@@JudeTheUA-camPoopersubscribe if you can only afford console pricing (which is what the steam deck uses) then you can't really get anything better than it, but considering how much software support the steam deck has, you're probably better off getting a steam deck anyway, not only because it's cheaper, but because repairing it and maintaining it is not only possible but very financially viable with the SD
AMD is the best company on the face of earth
@@bnr32jason isnt best value on some countries tho , bc the price is crazily up.
To anyone who's considering this srsly, please hold on to your purchase... Aokzoe is going under a huge controversy in China rn. And yes, its about that signature display that looks awesome from a spec sheet. Long story short, the company lied about the specs of this display, especially the color space and accuracy. Independent reviewers in China spotted the problem and sent a retail unit to a national lab for testing. The results they got show a massive departure from Aok's commercial. And the PR people are still trying to fool other customers with their "test results". It's possible that there will be a lawsuit pretty soon. Also this handheld... if you were to open it up, you will be shocked how poorly this thing is built. DON'T BUY IT
As a Kickstarter backer I have heard no such things.
Dang was considering. Sources?
I knew it, the build quality looked cheap compared to aya.
@@Herculainn probably nothing in English, a bad display is forgivable for the deck, but not a device like this
@@EmborFrost They started shipping retail units earlier here in China. That's probably why.
8" is probably the perfect size. portable enough and still usable. I tried the Ayaneo Air, and the 5.5" screen made it impossible to use. even trying to set anything up in windows was torture.
I got this device a couple of days ago. My steam deck is now retired, the A1 is fkn amazing.
I'm glad people are buying it even though its 3-4x the price of the Steam Deck.
I concur!
Is it possible to change the Joysticks and Dpad? My main concern really
The screen difference is substantial in person, videos don’t really do it justice. I had bought both earlier in they year planning to keep one and sell the other depending on which first came in. It was the Deck, but after the A1 came in I was pleasantly surprised to find that I really liked the handheld. The screen real estate was more than enough for me. Honestly didn’t think the Deck would be the one on its way out lol
@@moonlambo5229 Some of us still can't buy the Deck in our countries, obviously still possible even if more difficult, but the price differential is eroded so many of these Chinese ones become reasonable options for us.
Awesome review each and every details
Got mine and very happy with it so far. We shall see how it goes long term though.
Back to back videos today niccee😁
I love the color of this handheld and the nice big screen🔥🔥
Do you have a list of the wallpaper engine pics you use?
Edit: sorry. Also seems like lots of handhelds coming out now, would be awesome to see a head to head comparison of them all :)
Thanks for all the info.
I got one of these, love the screen size and the ergonomics are pretty good for the size, never had too much trouble holding it on long play sessions. The 6800U really is a beast too, not even had to take this above 15W yet, everything I wanna play runs fine. Also got a pretty decent battery, bigger than most other 6800U devices I think (if you get the battery upgrade)
how about now, 3 months review ?
Is it still running strong ?
Im planning to buy this is it good?🧡
I mean is it still good?
@@yomidesu3145One of the buttons is losing sensitivity, the buttons also kinda squeak when pressed. Sometimes it just turns on to a black screen and you have to keep hard resetting it. Build quality is definitely not as high as other more established brands. I do still greatly enjoy it, but I enjoy the portable PC form, not the actual brand. If you want the power go look at things like the ROG or Legion Go, but really, if I could go back I think I'd just get a Steam Deck, especially with the improvements the OLED model brings.
got my A1 a few days ago. I'm pretty happy with it.
I really wish more of these handhelds would do the steam deck layout. Symmetrical joystick placement. I love my deck. I just really hope the valve decides it's worth investing in a new model and say another year or so. Hopefully something that keeps a similar price bracket. With the same customizability and upgradability as the current model.
If they make a new model I expect it to be quite a bit more expensive.
With prices going up around the world you can bet new models should be more expensive. As a first device they were willing to take a loss because they could subsidize the difference with massive storefront sales.
@@TheDaysEnd again. A good arguement. But doesn't make it any easier when the deck 2 costs $800 for the base model.
It's really nice, especially when you add the fact that they're giving you an option for a bigger battery! Unfortunately, the price to performance ratio is off especially when the steam deck is so much more cheaper for what it does. Hopefully they'll manage to bring it down to the 800 dollar range.
I love this!! Excellent!
Since my Onexplayer with 8.4 inch display and 2 TB SSD, finally a decent device with windows and 8 inch. Finally. Nothing good came for a long time.
Really like the design of this handheld.
Feels like there’s a new one everyday 😅 Keep up the great content!
Bought it after your initial preview 4 months ago, and absolutely love it! Wish you would get commission lol
Yes,the blue Cyberpunk color is the one.I received it in about a week from Amazon.
I actually love the color of that blue model. If I was in the market for one, that would be my choice. Instead (in part due to your coverage) I'm going with the Starry Black Ayaneo 2
I went with the Aya neo2 as well
Can't wait to get my Ayaneo 2 B.Duck! (yeah I like unique/quirky/weird) designs.
You got the exact same configuration that I'm going to be reviewing
your useing the old Aokzoe player app.. it has more options now.
my aokzoe is perfectly fine, i love the screen, its very well built and is powerful. im a kickstarter backer and paid 900$ for a 16gb ram 512gb nvme. was worth every penny!
Would be great to know what's the battery life when used as a terminal for game streaming (steam/parsec)? I know there are a lot of factors that will affect it (wifi quality, h264 vs hevc, etc) but I'd hope it is longer than running games natively.
those wallpapers looks so good
I am leaning towards this device due to the screen size. I want to play football manager and I need to the larger screen. I wish steamdeck would upgrade to 8"!
For Sonic Frontiers I had a similar issue with my RX 580, I've found that going alt entering in and out or using borderless fullscreen fixed it.
Love this handheld
Hey you mentioned that you'll talk about the battery life by the end of the video ? Did I miss out on it because I rewatched the end plenty and was it supposed to be the comparison video?
Ahora solo falta la comparativa entre los AYA NEO 2, One X Player mini pro, y este AOKZOE A1
Did you plan to do a review on Windows Dev Kit 2023? It will be great to see the retro video games emulation performance. Also, it will be a great if you can try to install Android TV device.
blue looks good... i need 1 of those
I wonder how much more performance it would gain if set to 720p?
No link to the handheld itself from the Amazon link, unfortunately. Information on possibly connecting this to an external display, and on limitations when using this as a portable Windows computer would be nice as well. Something for the upcoming comparison video, I guess.
I think this is the form factor I'm interested in. Steam deck is awesome and valve is really pushing the mini gamepad PC market forward but the thing is kind of a chonker for the first go around
Hi 👋🏻 there
I like all the informative videos you do on UA-cam.
Could you please tell me if you know where to get the Ram and the Fans and the Battery’s that AYANEO and OneXPlayer and Aokzoe A1 have in there Handhelds
Please
Thank you
Bro pls if u do another review about an handheld talk about the gyroscope because a lot of people want to use the gyro aiming in a handheld
4:26 can that wallpaper be found in wallpaper engine? If so, what's the name of that wallpaper?
I went with the White version and was second guessing myself until I got the unit. The white looks so cool and I love it! I got the bigger battery, 32GB of memory and 2TB drive. So far I am loving this handheld and thinking I'm going to sell my steam deck as I don't really see a reason to keep it at this point aside from the nice eco-system steam has built around it. Overall I think the Aokzoe A1 is an amazing machine and am very happy with my purchase. Would love to see a more detailed settings video and also what you have your AMD Adrenalin software set to (Gaming profile or custom?). I'm not super familiar with that software as I've always used NVidia cards so a lot of the options seem foreign to me and I'd love to know what the best settings are.
How is it a year later? Still love it? What’s the battery life like? Might get one
@@JohnGregoryGarza A year later it is still cool, but I have since purchased the ROG Ally and the Legion GO so the A1 just isn't getting a lot of playtime at this point. I keep meaning to pull it out and update it, but it mostly sits in my drawer. I'd still say if you are looking for a solid PC Handheld the A1 is a nice option.
@@warchildxx deciding between one x and aok. I have the legion go it’s awful. How’s the battery on the A1? On Amazon it’s only 1k even for a 32 ram 2TB and the onex is 1.3k. If I can get a nice size screen hood battery and it works that’s be great
Very interesting device. I love my Steamdeck but an 8 inches display would be great. What about repeatability?
Could you check out the Fydetab Duo? It's a RK3588S-based tablet that runs a ChromeOS-fork by default (runs linux and android apps), but can run regular ARM-based distro's as well
Futuristic Speed❤️🔥 for need😍 most wanted portable handheld pc🔥 futuristic pc device for sensible gaming.
This is probably the form factor I would like to see out of a Steam Deck 2(or revision), as 8" with no bezel seems like the sweet spot for the screen. It's also less long, so while still not super portable, it's less obvious in its shorter length. Overall an amazing device, but most of the latest PC handhelds are, sadly the pricing is just insane. So until Valve or someone else with deep pockets comes along to sell a unit like this at a loss, I'll have to stick with the Steam Deck.
The price its NOT insane , its a FULL windows portable computer , with decent hardware
@@gregyance9901 it's insane yes it is.
@@jponz85 2tb storage and 32gb ram. That's probably why it costs so much
@@gregyance9901 @oo -- it isnt, these guys dont seem to understand that these things are basically further miniaturised ultrabooks. OP was atleast truthful enough to admit that he wants a subsidy.
@@navjotsandhu7245 bro please stfu, yes this thing is INSANE when you compare it to a steam deck (is inferior but you can still play 95% of w.e tf this handheld can play at 3x less of the price) at this price point just get a gaming laptop that would rape this shit and the deck. So yes, the price tag on this shit is stupid insane and irrelevant when you can just get a deck for cheaper or a gaming laptop at this price
You shall mention that this model you’re testing is the extended battery A1L
Hello always enjoy your videos , I know this isn't on topic of this video but I'm looking to get a gaming laptop for around 1200 . I love emulation all the way up to Xbox 360. I would play big title games as well just not alot of them. Any suggestions on a choice ? I hope to hear from you , if I don't, can't wait for your next video. Thanks
Is those Wallpaperengine walls some kind of contest like that walking man moving a load?
What's the beautiful animated train background, visible during the Specs presentation ?
Guys, people have been paying extra for specific gadget for many years. Like the iPhone really outperform smartphones that cost half of it. The Steamdeck is great, but I have the A1 for about a weak, and I am loving it (knock on wood). So comfortable to hold, with such nice 8 inch screen. It's not a question how much a device cost compare to another, but how much *you* are willing to spend on a specific piece of technology that is important to you. For some, even the lowest tier Steamdeck is too much money since they only game rarely. There's no right or wrong in these sorts of decisions.
Well said.
Exactly
Please show MW2 and Warzone 2.0 in the upcoming 6800u handheld test. That will make it buy which ever handheld performs the best as I’m buying a handheld only for COD
I have the white varient of this and loved it till the mouse pointer started pulling to the top. I'm still trying to figure out how to fix this issue.
What is the live wallpaper you are using? The one with the moving train scene? Thanks
This device and the company itself is going through some controversies. Check the Ayaneo discord for some collected english information from the community. I would hold off purchasing one for now.
Hey man just wondering if you've given much look at the Nreal Air or Rokid Air?
i wanted one so bad. your so lucky the blue is awesome. Could you play Gears of War 2 on this? id love to see it on there. No way ill beable to afford this but kist knowing we could play Gears on the go is on my bucketlist. Thank you for the review!
I considered backing this project but ultimately had a hard time trusting the new company compared to buying a steam deck.
They aren't new, they have been making handhelds before steam made there's.
@@oo--7714 You can’t tell a steam decker nothing. They’ll always find a reason to just stick with their steam deck even if there isn’t one.
@@oo--7714
What other handhelds did aokzoe make?
@@illogik The question is, will they support the device with software updates as much as Valve is supporting the Steam Deck. And how easy is it to change battery and SSD. Such questions are important to many of us.
@@NoX-512 No they’re not as 90% of users aren’t going to be doing any of that shit.
I like the look of it, I would definitely take that color over white. RGB is whatever, I'm not into that kind of bling. I would probably just set it to solid yellow to match the buttons.
As with all 6800U, 6800H, and 6800HX units, impressive performance, but I'm still going to pass for now. I'm willing to wait a couple of years for the Zen4/RDNA3 version. We don't have 3rd party benchmarks of RDNA3 yet, but if AMD is being truthful of the perf/watt uplift over RDNA2 then a 7800U, or whatever they call it, should be able to handle pretty much anything at 1080p.
And even WUXGA. The 16 : 10 standard : 1920×1200.
Same with you
It’s selling on Amazon, I’ll see what reviews and such are like in April
I can't wait until these handhelds PCs come down in price over the years
That aspect ratio thing happens on some games on 16:10 screens also on Nvidia cards.. Sonic Frontiers I haven' tested though as haven't bought it yet but a few games leave black bars.
Kind of confusing why power consumption is so high. The 8.4" onexplayer benefits substantially from lower brightness settings on the screen. It would be interesting to know power consumption comparison at 50% brightness to 100% brightness. Additionally, are there fan controls?
You can control the fans from the AOKZOE control center
Quantum blue looks great would change the yellow button to red tho
Nice unit I bought it to play my old school games Delta Force and Command and Conquer \. I was gonna get RoG Ally but i'll wait for gen 2 or steam deck 2
if some designs a handheld with 2 M.2, one for storage and just to be used as external dock for GPU than that would be a perfect device.
Having a Steam Deck that functions like the Switch would be good. It's uses the APU while portable but you have a dock that would allow you to attach a dedicated graphics card. That way when you play docked you don't need to worry about the battery.
@@Rokabur Best of both the worlds. A 4k gaming pc when docked and a good 1080p handheld console on the go.
I listed mine for sale on ebay.. not to spam in the comments but I ended up getting my steam deck before the AOKZOE so i cant justify keeping it (as much as i would love too!!) I know lots of people seeing this video will want one but they are not for sale yet.. a couple are available on ebay including my unopened blue 16GB 512GB upgraded joy sticks upgraded battery.
On the go: I'd keep to 800P, lockdown on 60fps, 15-22w and any available overheads left for battery power.
Cable or docked: crank everything up with respect to a consistent FPS.
The video was good. The console is not available for sale in Canada.
Mr. Prime all I need to know is, in your opinion which I valued a lot is this better than the SteamDeck? Is it??
I hope to see new intel handheld pc whit new gpu
Could you add the steamdeck on the comparison?
YES!!!! Another one!
ETA prime can you list the price on all your future reviews it helps to know ahead of time
Price changes over time, or by region. Not to mention availability also affects price.
@@2010ngojo I understand that but other reviewers I watch give you the price, how much they paid for it, if it’s on some kinda sale and some even give a coupon code. So I understand what your saying that prices change but it’s good to have that insight

ETA PRIME best videos as always........can i get a list of your wallpaper engine skins
How about the max knit brightness? Can i play it with a windo open?
Total system draw is really high on this thing… thats why it needs bigger battery to be on pair with 7inches 40Wh+ handhelds…
I don't know if I'm just biased because I love Valve, but I personally don't find a reason to spend 3x the price of the Steam Deck just to be playing at a Steam Deck native resolution and still getting under 60fps or even 50fps when the Steam Deck can perfectly lock a lot of games at good graphics settings at 40fps constant with the screen refresh rate of 40hz giving a smooth gameplay.
I would've found any handheld PCs with a 6800u to be perfect if they all just had a 720p or 800p resolution screen for the higher performance and stable FPS while maybe providing a much better panel.
I don’t care about valve, but the steam deck is great I love it, I mean nobody can beat the steam deck is just an over all great product in price - performance, plus good luck fixing one player or aok Zoe a year from now if it breaks, it will be a nightmare
There's the aya neo 2 geek or whatever the heck they call it these days.
What is that cool wallpaper you use
Steam - Wallpaper Engine
I follow the link on Amazon but I don't think is available in UK
I like the casing, it's really cool looking! But I enjoy the Steam Deck. And I don't think this stacks up to the Steam Deck control wise. The dpad looks worse, the thumbsticks look worse, does it have gyro? The way the Deck's sticks are capacitive and can enable gyro whenever you touch them is genius. Dunno if this has that. Again, cool looking though.
It has gyro, yeah. The sticks here are Hall Sensor and feel great, I doubt the Steam Decks are better (we have a few with both in the AOKZOE Discord, I'll ask them). Had mine about a month now and love it. Dpad is just OK, but not a big priority for me (the Neo 2 Dpad sounds like it is really good for those for whom it is a priority if they're in the market for a non-deck handheld).
Where can I get those animated wallpapers?
Does it come with games preloaded ? Looking 4 something that haz Atari all the way 2 PS4 already installed . If n e 1 noz a handheld like that , please let me no. Thank u !
Just curious if anyone knows, where does he get those nice animated backgrounds
