At my school, girls can’t wear open-toed shoes unless we have our nails done. And no one can wear anything that’s even slightly tight. We’re not allowed to have unnatural hair colors, but what are schools going to do if we do dye our hair? Make us shave our heads? That would draw a lot more attention than unnatural hair colors, and not the good attention that people with dyed hair get. People with shaved heads could get bullied for it

The weirdest thing about the education system is that pretty much every teenager is so stressed out about school that they pray for disasters or fake illness or try to kill themselves and yet nobody has ever thought to themselves "hey maybe our system is flawed" and instead all they ever think is "kids these days are so lazy and selfish" like wtf is up with that man

I agree, especially America's dress code. Girl's can't even show 1/8 of their bra straps or we'll get a detention because we are "distracting" boys. The dress code limits our choices so all we see is girls wearing sweats and hoodies and stuff.(Then again, I love hoodies).

Thank you because I am now a graduate student and I would've loved to learn about the importance of rent/buying furniture/how to properly plan out bill payments, etc. I mean, come on American School System! How do you expect me to be able to help the economy when I don't know jack about insurance/tax payments!!

What I hate the most is when schools teach you different, more complicated methods to solve an equation than the one you already know. Like for example, 1+2=3 (I'm too lazy to think of a proper example). The answer is so simple but noooo, you have to divide the two first. So now instead of a simple, easy 1+2=3 you have to do 2=1+1 so 1+1+1=3. Like bish, dafuq? It makes everything so much more confusing

In my school we aren’t allowed to wear bandanas, no see through articles of clothing, no crop tops, no visible bra straps, girls pants / skirts/ dresses can’t be above arm length, no leggings, no rips in your pants at all, even if there is fabric underneath, tank tops must be 3 inches, (again, only for girls) and you can’t wear sweaters/sweatshirts or shirts that are so long they cover your shorts when you stand. In the school guidelines the girls dress code is 2 paragraphs and the boys dress code is two sentences. No joke.
Update: Y’all I’m about to freak out. No one can wear headbands anymore.

I was stuck in school learning about A Christmas Carol and came here but apparently I can't get away from it
Some teachers shouldn't be teachers. Literally today my music teacher asked me how many bars were in a piece, and I told her the right answer and she proceeded to shout at me telling me that I'd labelled it wrong and that I wasn't listening. She only realised she was wrong when my class said they'd all got my answer, and she didn't apologise or acknowledge that she was wrong. Okay storytime. I had this problem! We wear a uniform at my school, but at the end if every month, we can wear anything that's in dress code. So my MALE TEACHER decided my shirt was out of dress code. (It was perfectly fine) He pulled me out of class and yelled at me bc boys wwere being distracted. So i stopped him by walking into the next classroom. Every single student looked up and my teacher thought this proved his point. I asked the boy in the front row, "Are you distracted by me?" He nodded and said, "Well yes. You aren't in our class and you just marched in here." So i said, "Are you distracted by my shirt?" He shook his head and said no. The teacher of the classroom i walked into had been watching and had caught on to what i was trying to prove. She stood up and said "Honey is there something wrong?" I told what my teacher said to me. He yelled again, saying he was right. Thats when i noticed we had the same shirt. This teacher who i didnt know the name of started yelling at my teacher about how inappropriate it is to support the idea that girls have to act a certain way for boys, and that it is a girl's fault for whatever happens to her. My teacher went to the principal's office but it was fine bc i wasn't violating dress code and my AWESOME principal backed me up. Okay. That was long.

@@alexiagreat8053 Well if they don't focus that's their fault. My friend with ADHD can't focus especially in loud areas, and the teachers still do nothing about the noise except yell over it.
At school they don't teach you how to take up a loan, how to pay bills or how to drive a car.

I'm not saying that learning different subject's is a bad thing. But I think that from a certain age you should be able to choose your own subjects. I have been in school for almost 13 years, and I don't know what I want to work with. But I am very sure I will never need a lot of the stuff I learned in math and geography :)

I have to learn Chinese as a foreign language. Its really hard like 你知道我在写什么吗？华文太难了。PLUS I have to wear a school uniform. "Pinafore right above your knee" "badge above your heart" "hair must be tied up and neat" "no accessories other than for religious beliefs"nails muse be trimed and no nail polish" "no makeup" "white school shoes and socks" Socks must cover your ankle" Gosh.
Oh my, that's very harsh... We didn't have any uniforms or dresscodes... There was no need to... Nobody was going to school in inapropriate attire (like booty shorts lol) and noone ever put more makeup on other than some maskara and light colored lipstick... I learn Mandarin as well. Personally for me, I find it somewhat easy, but I enjoy languages and we like to stay on certain units for at least a week, depending on the difficulty. Also, my school is somewhat strict with uniform, to the point where ties are stolen in terms 2 and 3 when their owner is out doing PE and what not. 你好。我是奥大利亚人。你是哪国人？(I'm year eight, so I'm not your level yet, but I can understand some haha.)

And in my school they don't appreciate it. I write poems for my school magazine and stuff. I put my heart out in it, with a lot of inner meaning. But they don't even care to look at it... Not just mine anybody's. All they care is getting enough articles.....
I want to become an artist. My parents are not at all supportive about that. They keep persuading me to study medicine. What grade are you in? I can only recommend learning your fractions well, as well as transferring them into both decimals and percents, and what the real life relations mean (e.g. 1/5 cheaper means original times (1-1/5) equals 4/5*original) because that stuff is gonna carry you all through the world of mathematics.
@@sarahluciakarmann6133 the world of mathematics doesn't take priority over the real world though. fractions are very important to learn, but there's a fine line between important and too situational to be worth anything unless you are trying to get a high paying job that's very difficult to qualify for (and possibly keep).

My school dress code is SO STRICT even the parents don't think it's necessary! We have to wear extremely expensive uniforms. we're also not allowed to wear certain types of makeup (lipstick for example). We have to wear our hair a certain way too. The hair rules for boys are so strict they can't have their hair touching their ears. We also can't dye our hair to unnatural colours. Basically anything that makes us look unique is banned. We all look like the Abnegation from Divergent..

Kawaii Fire school isnt a place where you show how unique you are in the way you look, it is a place where you learn the basic rules of discipline, and in order for schools to conduct and maintain that discipline, uniformity must be executed. In fact, a school isnt just for one person or one student, its for a whole group. And If a certain individual in that group was set to be whatever they wanted to be, the most fundemental ideas behind schools would be lost.
And i know we're all different in the way we are, but sometimes rules are rules, and they dont pop out from nowhere

Christopher Anthony i do agree that kawaii fire's school is a tad over the top, but youre missing my point here, a school isnt a place where youre just taught math and science and whatnot, its also a place where aspects like kindness, honesty and discipline is taught. We are taught this to devolop our young minds into future greats, i,e that is to not lose our basic human morality
Well same.... In my school the dress must be in the same way and same thing for everyone, hairstyle in a certain style, and the boys' hair mustn't reach their ear.. And no makeup allowed, even face powder.. And lets not even talk abouy highlights or unnatural hair colour

try taking the sheet and put it under the mattress on each corner. then do the rest of the corners while tucking them under the mattress. the mattresses weight usually holds the sheet down.
