      @Amiya kumar What rubbish. He clearly explains how ANI-ASI are basically premeditated and flawed categories invented by David Reich's labs by eliminating most of the genetic data because it was inconvenient for their preconceived statistical model. At the timestamp mentioned by you, he simply states that he has no choice but to accept it academically for now since its a peer-reviewed study legitimised by a leading journal like Nature, but on 23:20 he says that he's soon coming out with counter studies that will start the process of demolishing the deliberately faulty ANI-ASI hypothesis. Nowhere did he say that ANI-ASI is supported by archaeology, that was said in the context of the Out of Africa migration hypothesis. Improve your listening skills buddy.

    • @thedescanteer
      @thedescanteer 2 роки тому +13

      @Amiya kumar LOL. I should have guessed. You're just another bumbling Aryan invasion/migration/tourism apologist. If you had better comprehension skills, you'd have understood that the very thrust of this entire conversation was that the supposedly established theory of steppe migration is anything but an "Aryan migration". Why? Because, one, the so-called steppe component entered the Indian genetic pool with a semblance of group entry way too late in history (almost entirely after 500 BCE); two, genetic overlaps with so-called steppe markers during the pre-Harappan and Harappan epochs were way too long-drawn and way too insignificant vis-a-vis the population size of India; three, the sum total of one & two amounts to less than 5% ancestry in available samples even after all kinds of statistical jugglery to construct ANI, while out-of-India genes in the Indus Periphery (greater Iran) stands at 30-40%, which yet again corroborates group migrations of Harappans into all directions when the Saraswati started disappearing; and four, the supposed steppe genes brought in absolutely zero change in material culture in the Indian archaeological record. Capiche?
      Yamnaya samples are R1a and R1b dominant. Unless it is unequivocally proven where R1 originated (almost certainly India given it's diversity and STR frequency here), it is impossible to conclude whether Indians carry Yamnaya genes, or vice versa. This CWC>Yamnaya>Iranian>Indo-Aryan nonsense is more of a linguistic theory invented by Western Indologists rather than a genetic fact.
      You have much to learn, buddy.

    Migrations are tricky subject. We should study this topic in three categories:
    A) Genetic Migration
    B) Cultural Migration
    C) Linguistic Migration.
    It's not conclusive that all 3 are necessarily correlated. For example, Buddhism went from India to China and Korea. However it was only a mixture of linguistic and cultural migration but no genetic migration.

    Please also look into history and gene mapping of Socotra islands near coast of Yemen. It can give important pointers in overseas colonies of IVC people. Not enough excavation is done on Socotra, but some focused research may also reveal some IVC time establishment there. Even today in coastal settlements of Gujrat (Near Lothal) people pray to Sea Goddess Sakotri Mata.

    Great discussion. The only way all the work mentioned at the end of the podcast can be done is through massive govt. funding. The govt. should set up specialized departments in all central and state funded universities to conduct this research. They should give grants for doctoral research conducted under the supervision of people like Dr. Rai. And also give huge grants to experts like him to conduct research on some of these projects. And equally importantly, our school and college textbooks need to have a curriculum that teaches all these scientific, data-backed facts to our young generations.
