    I also had a broken recipe so happy you listed what you used! My only listed ingredients, years ago I my dough recipe said 12 eggs and I kept adding soo much four and had A LOT of thick noodles! It wasn’t until recently that I googled dumplings that I realized the dash was missing and was to be 1-2 eggs!! 🤦‍♀️ My recipe adds sour cream to the noodles and at the cooling stage of the as we called it German pot pie deliciousness 🤤😋

    I add a little of the ham "fat" from the broth-to the noodle dough. Also, I add parsley and onions. My kids' favorite!

    I am glad you shredded the ham. I have seen people using cubes for their recipes. I think the shredded ham is a better texture for this dish. By the way, I call the dumplings. I like my pot pie thick and not brothy.

      I was told pot pie is a Pennsylvania Dutch word for noodle and or dumpling.And I like my ham potpie like a thick gravy

    You have such courage in making food, and showing all of us, that you've never made before. You keep it real for me. Sorry your Husband is not able to taste your efforts. My Daughter is slowly regaining some of her taste and smell. It's been four months for her, too.
