I always find NTW's lectures and sermons so comforting and full of hope. If God still raises up Apostles, I am certain the NTW is an Apostle of Hope. May God continue to bless his message of hope until he finds rest in Christ, having successfully endured to the end.

Lev Eakins the p.a microphone stopped working, in the similar point in the same lecture at SMU in the USA this November there was an interference in the p.a system. Tom Wright makes the point that something like this often happens when he declares the good news of the cross of Christ and that it truly is the turning point of history!

An excellent teacher, but why has the Evangelical Alliance joined with the Ecumenical Movement in 2010?
Completely different Gospel - how can error & truth, 'works' & grace, dark & light join together - it cannot, it must not !!!
The Finished Work of Jesus Christ that He fully accomplished in His death & resurrection - is the one & only Gospel !!!
We are never to add nor take-away from the truth of Jesus Christ, He is our Lord & King !!!
To God Be All The GLORY !!!

    Jesus Promises Another Helper/Comforter
God is Holy and God is Spirit therefore God is the Holy Spirit. Written in John 4:24 “God is Spirit” who is the Spirit of Love and Truth, which is and was the Word from the beginning. The Word became flesh (Jesus) and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Matthew 3:16-17 > “He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.” --- Mark 1:10-11 > “He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove.” --- Luke 3:22 > “The Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him,” --- John 1:29-34 > “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.” At this time John said, “There comes One after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose. I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with The Holy Spirit.”
    > John 14:21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will manifest Myself to him.” --- “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”
    > 1 John 3:9 > “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”
    > 1 John 4:8 > “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”
    > 1 John 5:18 > “We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.”
    > John 17:22-23 > “The glory which You gave Me I have given the them, and they may be one just as We are One: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be prefect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and loved them as You loved Me.”
Written in John 14:30 Jesus said “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.”, but also He said that He and Father will send another Helper as written in John 14:16 > “I will prayer the Father, and He will give you another Helper”, and in John 16:7 > “It is to advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.” , and when He comes, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”
Before Jesus when went to His Father to be glorified together with glory He had with His Father before the world was < (John 17:5), He said to His disciple, “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.” < John 16:12. The things that they could not bear has been revealed to John in ‘The Revelation’. The ruler of this world is Satan the devil that has succeeded to deceive the whole world as written in ‘The Revelation’ > “--- Satan deceived the whole world:” < (Rev. 12:9 + Rev. 13:11-18 + Rev. 18:23). The ruler of this world is the Devil that showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and their glory and said to Jesus, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory, for this has been delivered to me, and I will give it to whomever I wish. Therefore if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.” < (Matthew 4:8 and Luke 4:5).
Also, after Jesus was glorified together with His Father < John 17:5, Jesus introduced Himself to John with His New Name < (Rev. 3:12) saying, as written in Rev. 1:8, saying to John what is new, “I am Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” And also, the One like the Son of Man said to John in Rev. 1:17-18 > “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, and am alive forevermore.”, and written in Rev. 21:5-7 that He who sat on the throne said to John, ‘Behold, I make all things new’. --- ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful.’ --- ‘It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. --- He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.” The Son of the Alpha and the Omega shall inherit all things as written in Rev. 3:21, Rev. 3:12, Rev. 3:5, Rev. 2:26-28, Rev. 2:17, Rev. 2:11, and Rev. 2:17. Also written to he who overcomes in Rev. 2:8-10; Jesus speaking, “See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it” --- “indeed I will make those them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to preserve, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which will come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”
In Rev. 5:1-7 it says that a strong angel proclaimed with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?” --- John wept much because he found no one worthy, but one of the elders said to John, “Do not weep”, because in the midst of the throne stood a Lamb as though it had been slain who was worthy to take the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne. This Lamb that was found worthy is the Son of the Alpha and the Omega who sit on the throne. “He (the Son of the Alpha and the Omega who sit on the throne) He had a written that no one knew except Himself, ---. And His name is called The Word of God.” < Rev. 19:12-13. He who sits on the throne has revealed to Him who overcomes that he shall inherit all things as written in Rev. 21:5-7.
He who sat on the throne said to John, “Behold, I make all things new.” Who will be able to bear what is new here. When Jesus introduced Himself to John in the time period of ‘The Revelation’ saying, “I am Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”, He was no longer the Lamb of God the Christ/Messiah. This is why Jesus spoke of another Helper, who is another Lamb to come. As Jesus was the Son of His Father, the Lamb that was found in the midst of the throne (Rev. 5:6) is the Son of the Alpha and the Omega who sits on the throne.
John 16:10 > “--- I go to My Father and you see Me no more;” and written in Luke 13:35 + Matthew 23:39 Jesus said, “I say to you, you shall not see Me you until the time comes when you say”, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.” When He comes ---> “He will glorify Me, all things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.” < John 16:14-15. The Son of He who sits on the throne shall inherit all things as written in Rev. 21:5-7. Written in Rev. 2:26-28 > “He who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations - He shall rule them (nations) with a rod of iron; They (nations) shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels - as I also received from My Father; and I will give him the Morning Star.
It is written in Rev. 6:12-17 that they will say, “--- Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able the to stand?” --- Rev. 5:13 > “Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever.” --- Rev. 7:10 > “Salvation belongs to our God (Jesus) who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” --- Rev. 19:12-13 > This Lamb had a written that no one knew except Himself, because He is the Son of Him who sits on the throne. And His name is called The Word of God.” - Amen.

The original Greek text had no punctuation, chapters or verses. If you put the comma after “Today”, it changes the whole meaning. This is where Biblical errors begin and as a result our current bibles are not without error. Another error I hear is in 2 Cor. 5:8. I hear this, “to be absent from the body (is) to be present with the Lord”, this is not what it say. The word “IS” is not there, read it for yourself but read it in context. What is Paul talking about start at 2 Cor 5:1 this will help. Be a critical thinker, ask questions and be open to change your mind or “Repent” which literally means, “to change your mind”. Be critical, ask questions and listen to all views….

What do you say to St. Paul, then? His writings are very complex, too. Actually, theology is complex, because Lord's world is such. And His working of Salvation is magnifically grandiose, also. Why would that scare you off to your garden, puzzles me.

    • @JohnCahillChapel
      @JohnCahillChapel 27 днів тому +1

@@vukjovanovic5708 Yes. That approach to knowing the love of God does scare me. The academic, textual reductionist, finely nuanced arguments of highly complex minds, vying for bookshelf space block the light of God’s love for the childlike mind of trust. I love the little boy (on the UA-cam clip) who steps outside and addresses the sky saying, “it’s alright God. I trust you!” As for St Paul’s writings, I think he addresses complex problems in order to eliminate them and affirm trust in the love of God. It’s not the complexity that makes living possible but the simplicity. God is love and loving to the world. I, a gentile, do not need to be made a Jew by the complexities of any form of Judaism in order to be “beloved” of God. To live by St Paul, one first needs to become intellectually Judaised. An unnecessary solution gives rise to the problem that is addressed by the solution. We feel that we need a temple based solution because we’ve all been Judaised by a Jewish solution to a particular form of Judaism. I’ve been through all those complexities and chosen not to make capital out of them. Unless one comes as a little child… God is love…

Can the Messiah be a liar? Jesus said in all three synoptic gospels: "I will be back before some of you die." In spite of what ministers and apologists say, don't say, do or ignore, that was a lie. Virtually all of Christianity, including apologists, recognize that that was a lie without saying so directly. In fact their actions say they recognize that Jesus lied, a well attested lie at that, as indicated. By saying that they are still looking forward to his second coming is to, in effect, state that he lied to his disciples. Each time that this is said, they are, in effect, also calling Jesus a liar and a false prophet, whom they really don't believe. As shown in Deut, chaps 13 and 18, God said false prophets were to be put to death, period. In effect, the Jews were just being obedient to God's commands as given in the Pentateuch, as shown.
One would think that the claim would be that Jesus was true to his word and has come back but we missed him. But no one wants to think that he/she missed out on the "rapture". And for the church leadership, there is too much at stake and it's called "money". This is well attested in the comment of Pope Leo X and the confirming writings of two of his Cardinals. So this lie has been used to stoke fears and then fleece millions of naive, foolish and gullible people of their family's money. The late Harold Camping took some one hundred million, fear given, dollars to his bank. But note that Jesus, who now holds in his hands all power in heaven and on earth, is content to let his own (false?) promises, pledges and prophecies continue to be used to victimize billions upon billions of people 24/7. Jesus said that all power in heaven and earth have been given to him. If that's the case, then he knows that he gave a wrong prophecy which has given rise to an unholy vast array of atrocities, including mass murders and mayhem unbounded, since that prophecy was given. That false prophecy was repeated by most of the epistle writers in the New Testament with Revelations repeating that lie numerous times. Why doesn't Jesus correct that prophecy? But, because he doesn't, the savage carnage continues ad nauseam. Is that love? The key question is then, can the Messiah be a liar and still be worthy of being raised by God? Is this God in action? Note, that neither, N.T. Wright, W.L. Craig, Les Strobel, Gary Habermas nor any of the other apologists deal intelligently if at all with the false promises, pledges and prophecies of Jesus. If the truth matters then let it be told. Can the Messiah be a liar?I have to put this final indirect comment in. Luke tells us that the shepherds, upon witnessing the Baby Jesus in the manager, "they made known abroad" the good news, "Christ the Lord" is born. Bethlehem is about a stone's throw (five miles) from Jerusalem, the dwelling place of the High Priest, many Rabbis, the Sanhedrin, King Herod and a healthy contingent of Roman soldiers, at that time. Additionally, Bethelhem, no doubt, had its own Jewish officials, a synagogue and Rabbi(s). Additionally, Roman officials would have been on hand to coordinate the census. Besides reaching the local officials instantly, such astounding news would have gotten to King Herod and the Roman authorities within a matter of hours. Intelligence, spies and informants are not recent innovations. Yet, we are told by the same Luke that no one, the local officials and Rabbis living next to the inn and stable, not the Sanhedrin, the High Priest or King Herod got the news, which was so well broadcasted by the shepherds. They, supposedly, knew nothing until the arrival of the Wisemen, some two years later. My question is then: Does God require that we be fools? Or, is it that men, using the "guile" of Paul, play us for fools? My sense is, the latter is true. The evidence so suggests. If the truth matters, then let it be told.

"Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power." -Mark 9:1
"Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." - Matt 16:28
"Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God." - Luke 9:27
If you read how Jesus talks about this new kingdom, which has already begun with him, it isn't too difficult to realize what he's saying here. Jesus describes the kingdom beginning as something small and almost undetectable. It is a seed that is sown in a few hearts who are open to the truth, then beginning to grow and then beginning to move the world with a new kind of power. A power that does not force people into submission, but transforms them from within, bringing new life to the hopelessness and decay of the old order. In these verses and others like them he is not talking about a physical return that people observe in the sky and concede to, he's talking about this new power beginning to shake and move the world. This is what Jesus is saying that some here will begin to see happen before they die. His saying still implies they are going to die, which makes no sense if Jesus is coming back to snatch his people out of the world. Hope that helps:)

He came back in judgment on Israel in 70 a.d. He didn't actually say "I will be back," as you say, but "there are those standing here who shall not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming His Kingdom." Evidence that Jesus was established on His throne was the overthrow of apostate Israel in the destruction of Jerusalem." The Bible often uses this "coming in judgment" language, NOT referring to the final 2nd Coming.

Unfortunately the rise of dispensationalism with its lucrative rapture hype and all the futurists have played havoc with the Holy scriptures - if they would only let scripture interpret itself and use the first rule of hermeneutics: audience relevance; they would see that every word Jesus spoke was fulfilled........
Dispensationalism has turned the book of Revelation into a futurist treasure hunt map; seeing rapture verses everywhere (come up hither). They’re like squatters who won’t budge from somewhere they don’t belong....
One of the most facepalming things I’ve read is Hal Lindsey saying the locusts of Rev 9 were Black Hawk helicopters deployed in the Vietnam war - but John did not have the vocabulary to name them 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
Josephus describes what happened during during the 66-70AD judgement of Old Covenant Jerusalem and her temple in horrifying detail, and it mirrors Revelation uncannily...
