Hola Tío Luke! It took me 3 months to get the card last year. I think getting another Barclays card might help. I had the JetBlue card for years. I used the Wyndham points to get suite upgrades in a hotel in Switzerland. Wyndham is notorious for being difficult . I had to call the “back office” many times to finally get the card. It took some work but it was worth it . Good luck!
I called them and they basically told me there was nothing I could do. Oh well! I guess I’ll have to stay at the park Hyatt in Switzerland!! Haha. Thanks for stopping by Joe!!!!
This card has been AMAZING! I am so glad I grabbed it “out of order” for the Chase enthusiasts. I’ve used the points for a hotel in Santa Monica (which I would never stay at again), status matched in AC to get the Oceans Prime MSC 10 night cruise (it was wonderful!), stayed in Atlantis minus taxes and fees and had a blast. Am currently headed to Vegas this weekend to status match to Wynn for the Holland America Cruise. Plus I also got 20% off of an existing NCL cruise we are taking this fall. Plus it gives 8x gas that I use when I am on vacation and away from home. The amount of money this card has saved me for a $95 AF has been very much worth it. I have heard DPs that matching Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite or Hilton Honors Gold member, would match to Wyndham Rewards Diamond status and seen some start the casino merry go round this way. You don’t get Atlantis in Nassau or NCL 20% off but you can do the rest of the MGR and get way more cruises then I have listed here (which I haven’t matched to yet). Good luck 🍀

My go to gas and utilities card. Status match to Caesars diamond equals Vegas stays and free annual trips to Atlantis Bahamas! Moving points between both is a breeze.
I applied for this card in November, expecting it would take months of sending documents in for approval …and surprise, instantly approved. The 8x on gas is great, but getting 8x on gift cards bought at gas stations is better. I have a 3 night stay coming up in Greek beachfront resort with points earned just from buying AirBnb and Amazon gift cards. Another benefit is with this card you get a 10% discount on points bookings…which makes transferring from Citi and Capital One a bit less painful. I am Hyatt loyalists, but their footprint leaves much to be desired…this card helps pick up the slack.

I actually have had this card on my mind over the weekend. After reading the comments I think I’ll try for the no annual fee Wyndham card. I plan on becoming an owner operator truck driver so definitely trying for the Business version after that. P.S. per my last comment. That credit card funds transfer I did increased my wife’s Vantage score 57 points!
This has become one of my daily spenders as I am planning a family summer trip and plan to use wyndham points for the lodging. The major icing on the cake for me is I have a local gas station that has $500 visas. Most gas stations are not likely to sell these via credit but mine does. So needless to say I'm stacking wyndham points real quick...
I looked at the card but ultimately decided not to bring another active bank and new eco-system into the fold. The key draw for me was the status match to Ceasars. Barclays cancelled two different Apple cards on me back in the day when you had to get a Barclays Apple card for 0% financing.
I got the card back when it was I believe it was 75,000 points bonus, used those points for 2 nights at Disney land, Anaheim On Howard Johnson, my status didn’t mean a thing at that property hahaha I think it’s because it’s walking distance to Disney. My kid got free ballot at check in which is nice enough. For caesar status is always great for me since I live in vegas. But all other property stopped doing higher match for Caesar though so MGMs and some others you won’t get anything. Overall like the card, never spend on anything else 😂 my plan is to use those annual free points for work related. Good luck getting it
Was instantly approved however P2 was declined and asked for additional verification such as bank statements and social and after 2 weeks the underwriting still couldn’t approve it. So P2 retracted the application. We used it for MGR status matches and vacasa for cabins when we go snowboarding.

The other problem is that I'm not sure it's technically supposed to allow you to share credit limits between business and personal lines unless you were talking about the personal Wyndham cards. Maybe Barclays might allow it since it's such a backwards lender, but who knows.
@Lancun I had 12k limit on personal aviator red card and asked to transfer 3k to wyndham business earner. My limit is now 9k and I'm still dealing with the process. We will see.
Uncle Luke, one quick tip for you (Possibly you may already know it but I thought it’s good to share it with you): Once your status will be matched from Hilton to Wyndham then you can match your Wyndham to Ceasers and you can keep doing it over and over. I do not have this card but I matched my Marriott Gold to Wyndham diamond and then ceasers Diamond and rematching it since last 2 years without having this card. Good luck
@LukesPointsandMiles Awesome. I have Choice diamond from work trips and will grab Wyndham diamond this week. I think 14 nights at Wyndham will lock it in for a year or so. I'll see where I go from there.
No clue how I just got instantly approved for the Wyndham Business Earner. I'm currently at 6/24 with 8 inquiries in the past 12 months, but the sixth card has yet to show because I got it less than a month ago. I figured I'd apply as a gag thinking they'd decline me due to my velocity, but figured I'd try anyway since I'm narrowly under their rumored 6/24 rule. Nope. Somehow they instantly approved me and gave me an 8k credit line. I'm still reeling.
@@LukesPointsandMiles Thank you, Luke! It wasn't a particularly lucrative sign-up bonus, just 45k Wyndham points for 3k in spend. A good little side bonus while I'm working on my Marriott Amex Business. But regardless of the welcome offer, that's almost the side-feature of this card. Wish you luck in getting it sometime yourself!
My understanding is that the moment you actually start playing the Credit Card game and ramp up your velocity, it's game over for Barclays. I've heard things like 6/24 being a thing with them, but it's such an absurdly outdated and frustrating process. I personally love what this card offers. Caesar's status match is ridiculously overpowered, but none of that matters if the bank that issues the card treats it like something nobody can or should get.
@@LukesPointsandMiles I mean, I think it's well worth using a 5 (or in this case 6)/24 slot on. The welcome offer is pretty bad, but the benefits the card offers are almost sign-up bonus worthy if you can make use of them, and it gives them to you every year.
The Wyndham business earner card is one of the first I ever got and it remains one of the best I’ll ever have. I pay utilities on it, and I put my Wyndham stays on it. It adds up faster than many might think
I was denied this card just last week. I called earlier today and was told that I had too much credit available. I really wanted that diamond status for my Vegas and South America trips later this year. Oh well.
We use it for gas and utilities and it's a killer combo at 8x and 5x. Vacasa or not, there are options in the Wyndham offering that make sense for families and the annual fee is more than offset by the 15k points award. Curiously, they won't approve me for the regular Earner+, but we still get enough out of this one alone to use for a trip every year.
I have had the card now for over 2 years and it's one of my favorites. The perks and benefits alone far exceed the annual fee. Status matching to Caesars Diamond is a huge perk that includes no resort fees...100 dollar annual dinner credit at a Caesars property, free parking and much more including converting Caesars points to casino free play. Aside from it being a pain to obtain its totally worth it.
My only gripe is that I can't apply for ANY of the Barclays cards because of my residence in Puerto Rico, so sadly no Wyndham card for me unless I move.
Great card for certain use cases, I have heard that it is a very difficult card for churners to get approved for. This may be one of those cards where you are better off having P2 apply if there velocity is lower.
Barclays is a pain in the *** . They are tough on underwriting, especially on business cards. I use the card (personal Wyndham card, not the business card) to visit second tier Wyndham properties in the US. Wyndham does have some nice properties in the US and down South. Gas x6 is good, but the business card is x8. My usage of the points gives me a penny of value for each point. The yearly bonus points are great and the Diamond status will get you Diamond (business card) with Caesars in Las Vegas.
Bruh. I’m goin 4 it rn! $15k spend for 100k pts (I’m in Europe and may be for another 1-2 mos). And how I utilize Wyndham easily gets me close to & over 2cpp valuation. I’m also gardening…i think. The plan is apply for USBAR in nov.
Did you end up calling reconsideration? I was denied and called. They had me send my id and a copy of my bank statement. Overall a month process. Still worth it.
@@LukesPointsandMiles I have ten credit cards. After the tenth one I froze all my credit reports, and I have taken a year long break. It is a great way to shed inquiries, as I only have one now!😎
Luke it seems that both Barclays and C1 compete on making difficult for individuals with good credit or inquiry sensitive to get pass the "velvet ropes" and get approved for their cards
Barclay's, extremely inquiry and personal card sensitive. They wanna know for sure you're gonna be swiping the card. Apparently they do harsher reviews than the federal government does. PS your new Wyndham Diamond will definitely get approved. Done it myself with Hilton. Which you can use to get Cesar's Diamond. You can use that to match all the other ones including Princess Cruises lol.
I matched it and was successful but I'm reading that the match to Caesars is only possible if you have legti status with Wyndham. So I'm in the process of figuring that out.
@@LukesPointsandMilesThe Caesar’s match does require “earned” Wyndham Diamond (for which holding the BE card counts); this is Caesar’s current (updated) requirement. Their 6/24 rule isn’t as well known as Chase’s 5/24, but it’s even firmer (found out like you did). That said, it’s their best card (other than the Aviator Red, arguably the better $95/99 AAdvantage card) and a good earner for gas. The Caesar’s match is its main value, their own points are only useful depending on where and when you wish to redeem them, typically less desirable properties at 35K+ points per night.
Wyndham Business instantly approved me, possibly because I have gotten a new Barclays American Airlines card every year (Business year 1, personal year 2). Cap1 VX denied me the first day they accepted applications, then again last year, maybe because I have never had any card with them.
I applied for the card today, I clicked the apply now button and I was approved in about 5 seconds. I'm Bonvoy Titanium but i see the Wyndham as a good secondary program.
Absolutely banger of a card I use it for gas, utilities and I have never had to pay for stays on my vacations thanks to this jewel 💎 utilities counts phone bill and insurance as well so those points rack up fast and it has cell phone insurance as well so I can decline the service provider insurance
Hey Uncle Luke! I applied twice for this card. The second time, I received a phone call from Barclay's to get details on my business. All for a whopping $1000 credit limit 🤣 I'd only ever used it for fuel and to pay the light and water bills. I ended up canceling it after one year because it just cannibalized spend on my other cards. Even though it has good earnings rates for gas and utility bills, I just don't stay at Wyndham's. I guess I was just star struck by those earnings rates lol. Love the channel man, hope it continues to grow. 🤙
@@LukesPointsandMiles That's outrageous, especially considering you have a real business. I just do some 1099 work. Barclay's isn't exactly known for customer service. Or competence.
I know this sounds silly... but have you called their reconsideration line? When I did mine, I did a double app with the old Barclays AA card. I had to send them paperwork to get it through, and that took a while, maybe 3 weeks.
Ha! i just called them and the rep told me they just want to see how my current credit accounts are being used. When i asked him to explain what that means he says they want to see the cards being used and paid. When I told him I've not had a late payment on any single open account dating back decades he then told me they just want to see if that continues. Ha!
Thanks for the video. That is a credit card that I had my eyes on. But I have heard some news recently. That it no longer gets you.Diamond status at caesars. And that was the main reasons. I wanted the card. I heard it gets you 8% back on gas.
It does give you diamond status at Caesar’s. As long as it’s earned status (staying nights or having the card). Just can’t status match to Wyndham and then to Caesar’s.
@@LukesPointsandMiles If possessing the card alone gets you diamond status with caesars then it is definitely back on the top of my list. I hate those resort fees
You've got the right idea going after all-inclusive resorts with Wyndham, that's the easy sweet spot at the moment. Vacasa seems more convoluted and limited now. Redeeming at domestic hotels tends to be terrible anymore, might as well count them at .5 cpp.
I pay utilities and use it at gas stations. I status match to Caesar's/MGM/Hyatt to get Hyatt Explorist. My value per point has been 1.3 cents per point. If I need more points I have Venture X transfer options.

It’s frustrating. If I was well under 6/24 I’d probably want better cards. Haha
I believe that!
@@LukesPointsandMiles That 5x utilites really works for my commercial property.
I was denied this card just last week. I called earlier today and was told that I had too much credit available. I really wanted that diamond status for my Vegas and South America trips later this year. Oh well.
They’re a tough issuer.
@@robnilles6625 I agree. It’s a great card
How u get inquires to drop off of ur report?
They are only on your report for 24 months
I have had the card now for over 2 years and it's one of my favorites. The perks and benefits alone far exceed the annual fee. Status matching to Caesars Diamond is a huge perk that includes no resort fees...100 dollar annual dinner credit at a Caesars property, free parking and much more including converting Caesars points to casino free play. Aside from it being a pain to obtain its totally worth it.
If I can garden and get all my inquires and new account off the last 25 months I will try again. Maybe.
Barclays is angry at you for smack talking them lol
Ha! I’m too small time to make anyone angry
My only gripe is that I can't apply for ANY of the Barclays cards because of my residence in Puerto Rico, so sadly no Wyndham card for me unless I move.
Barclays needs to get with the times. Plenty of great applicants in PR!!
Great card for certain use cases, I have heard that it is a very difficult card for churners to get approved for. This may be one of those cards where you are better off having P2 apply if there velocity is lower.
Ah, that's makes perfect sense and a P2 is a great idea!
Why do they keep denying you ? Luke
I think it’s just tons of inquiries.
Just a thought, but didn’t you have it out with Barclays over the American Airlines card after the first year?
Yes. I felt forgiving. Look what it did for me. Haha
You showed mercy…LOL!
Good Luck 🍀!!
Did you end up calling reconsideration? I was denied and called. They had me send my id and a copy of my bank statement. Overall a month process. Still worth it.
I called. No success.
@@LukesPointsandMiles why not try p2? Food for thought
@@tooeasy4217 that’s an option. Right now my goal with P2 is to keep things very simple, easy to manage and mostly no annual fees
You seem obsessed...relax a little.😅
Great idea. Almost time for a vacation!!
@@LukesPointsandMiles I have ten credit cards. After the tenth one I froze all my credit reports, and I have taken a year long break.
It is a great way to shed inquiries, as I only have one now!😎
@@msilverhammer nice moves!!
Luke it seems that both Barclays and C1 compete on making difficult for individuals with good credit or inquiry sensitive to get pass the "velvet ropes" and get approved for their cards
I really can’t stand Barclays. Haha
@@LukesPointsandMilesBarclays is a bad bank. But the AA, jet blue cards are decent (pretty easy to churn) and the biz earner is great.
@@schermnaam5811 I got the aviator long ago. Been shit out since then.
Wyndham Business instantly approved me, possibly because I have gotten a new Barclays American Airlines card every year (Business year 1, personal year 2). Cap1 VX denied me the first day they accepted applications, then again last year, maybe because I have never had any card with them.
very interesting!
I applied for the card today, I clicked the apply now button and I was approved in about 5 seconds. I'm Bonvoy Titanium but i see the Wyndham as a good secondary program.
It’s always good to have a backup
Absolutely banger of a card I use it for gas, utilities and I have never had to pay for stays on my vacations thanks to this jewel 💎 utilities counts phone bill and insurance as well so those points rack up fast and it has cell phone insurance as well so I can decline the service provider insurance
Ooo that’s pretty cool.
Thank you! Yeah not every card is a great fight for everyone!
Ive been denied 3 times now, im giving up. Not worth the inquiries.
Same with the U.S bank reserve card
Ha! I’ve
Been denied for that one as well.
Don't know if it's worth all the hassle! Wowza. Thanks for the info + video!
Its not! Haha
@@LukesPointsandMiles 🤣🤣🤣
It’s an excellent card if u know what to do with it. Excellent.
I think you should churn Barclays for this
Ha! I would if I could
Got approved, but it is annoying. You do need to contact them yourself, usually give permission for them to view some tax returns. But worth it.
Nice. They weren’t even interested in speaking with me. Haha
I’m waiting for the letter to come in. Then I will call. But Barclays has been for me. So difficult to deal with
Ha! i just called them and the rep told me they just want to see how my current credit accounts are being used. When i asked him to explain what that means he says they want to see the cards being used and paid. When I told him I've not had a late payment on any single open account dating back decades he then told me they just want to see if that continues. Ha!
How can you prove it’s going to be used and paid? What did they want you to send them?
@@youtube.experiment nothing. He just had that same line he said over and over again.
That’s odd… idk maybe try huca… hang up and call again… to see if a different agent is more helpful.
@@DaveMartinez-o1s having the card earns diamond with Wyndham. Then you can status match.
@@LukesPointsandMiles thank you I am going to apply later on this year
@@DaveMartinez-o1s good luck 🍀!!!!
I feel your pain. I have the same problem with capital one. Excellent credit, but I can't get approved for savor one for whatever reason. So annoying
That sucks. At least I was able to get that one
You've got the right idea going after all-inclusive resorts with Wyndham, that's the easy sweet spot at the moment. Vacasa seems more convoluted and limited now. Redeeming at domestic hotels tends to be terrible anymore, might as well count them at .5 cpp.
I may book a Wyndham in Peru just to check them out.
I pay utilities and use it at gas stations. I status match to Caesar's/MGM/Hyatt to get Hyatt Explorist. My value per point has been 1.3 cents per point. If I need more points I have Venture X transfer options.
Gotta love the VX!!
How did you do hyatt status match with wyndham?
I had to travel to Atlantic City NJ so I could status match in person at a Caesars casino. Once I did that, I could status match online with MGM, and from there status match to Hyatt Explorist.
