    I also like metal boxes. I once bought this Hazet box empty because I like it so much. I got a Stahlwille 1/2" set in a metal box. It's the biggest 1/2" set I've ever seen on any tool company. It contains normal socket but also long and flex version and many more.

      I have seen that Stahlwille set but too much expensive. May be I find some good deal on that some day.

    On that spot where the breaker bar touches the box. What I have done is use some painter tape to protect the paint on the box. The painters tape can be removed an should not bother the paint on the box, so it give perfection without presently modifying the box.

      Great idea but the point is with such a high price premium brand it should have come in improved instert design at first place. For me, it does not bother me and I am loving this metal box tool set to this date

    Please put a longer video of the Hazet cold forging sockets being made !!! I can't believe they can forge these things whilst they are cold! You got fantastic price. Cheapest I ever saw was $350 (for a new one). It's funny I have seen amazon price for same item (new one as low as $350 and as high as $750 in USA amazon and in Germany amazon from $400 to $650). But almost always over $500 both places. I was lucky to get a USA size set from a Hazet dealer, with the old blue tray, and it was so old it also has the speeder in there (where you can see place to put speeder in amazon photo). Same set as this but with blue tray and sockets from 3/8" to 1.1/4" And old blue handle ratchet. But that set was made in year 2000 or 2001 and my dealer kept on his shelf and then sold to me in 2020.

      I will upload whole video on Hazet factory tour in coming days. Yeah, the price of this set is pretty high. You are lucky you found old socket with speeder handle and blue tray. Many are looking for old box set as you hv got. I wish to get that one too but I could not find those any where and I found deal on that set so could not resist it.

    No. Snap-on.
    Breaker bar should be longer, SHBBD24HV
    Ratchet head should be sealed, perhaps if you need more flexibility and longer handle by the ratchet don't take standard S80 but get a SX80B instead.
    Sockets: 3 series: shallow standard hex, semi deep 12 points, deep hex,
    Extensions: get Wobble plus to add some more versatility, but you can have also 24" or 36" long extensions
    Accessories: Universal joint, Sliding T handle to complete...
    The things I like in this set is the knurling on the sockets and the presence of a breaker bar while stahlwille doesn't even offer but I repeat to be effective You need a different breed of tools.

      I agree with you totally. Actually, I owned some of the Snap-on collection. I have many ratchets in different sizes from Snap-on plus 36'' Breaker which is my favorite. I have cheaper (Harbor freight quality) wobble plus extension set. I have got many sliding T handle from Bahco, Gedore, Kamasa tools and Hazet in addition to universal joint. Only things I am missing Socket set in different length from Snap-on. I do owned alot of sockets set from other brands but would like to have from Snap on. Thanks for sharing your knowledge :)

    The sliding T needs a machined ring in the centre, then a detent ball spring loaded in sliding anvil. Then u could lock it in the centre position and use it as a big T-Spinner.

    I have that exact set, the picture on the website was wrong like yours, what a beautiful set it is its my favourite socket set. Beautiful case everything is perfection. The ratchet is so smooth and comfortable. I can claim VAT (value added tax) back through my business so i got 23% tax back. It sure is a nice set i wish you well with it. P.s. hazet company are the most courteous german company to deal with ive found. Wera excellent also.

      I am loving this set to the core. Beautiful looking with robust quality. Hazet's customer service is awesome and now I have contacts with them on personal level which is sweet. As you said in another comment Wera tools are mostly made in Czechia but quality never been compromised with beautiful looks.

    Very nice set, enjoy it. I have the feeling that these metal sets are meant to be used in rough environments, eg an onshore oil well or a truck repair toolset (trucks are repaired where they are left stranded). Same with these old style metal cantilever toolcases, they are meant to be hard wearing, eg use it as to step on it or sit on it during break and eat your sandwich...
    PS: Did you get a new camera? Cheers from Greece, another Hazet fan here.

      I agree with you those are for rough environment. But I love these metal boxes. Yes, for the Hazet visit I used new gopro camera. And for the tool videos I use my old phone lolzzz. Greece=beautiful country

    Great video! I have been looking into buying a Hazet tool set for myself, but due to the prices here in Norway I might only end up with buying a 1/2, 3/8 and a 1/4-ratchet. Were do you get your cheaper Hazet-sets from? Here in Norway one 916HP goes for around 170$ from the local tool shop...

      I try to avoid buying German tools locally due to their high price. I usually buy them from German amazon. In every video of mine, I try to put links in the description. You can check them out. Its more than half of the price you mentioned with free shipment over 99€ of order

      @@carrepairandtoolsvideos I finally placed on order the Hazet 914-18 breaker bar. I was trying to remember how long I want it and it seems like 30+ years. I like how the yoke on the drive end is so very large, seems like a very good idea. It was on offer for $86 and that is way lower than I ever seen it (normally $120 to $140 USD). So I may have it by Christmas.

    • @carrepairandtoolsvideos

      @@EdAtoZ Actually its pretty strong breaker bar. Just like you said the yok side is pretty thick and strong. Have you tried extendable hiper ratchet of Hazet pretty strong and versatile ratchet

    • @EdAtoZ
      @EdAtoZ 27 днів тому +1

      @@carrepairandtoolsvideos I have the Hazet 916HPG extendable ratchet that was last year Christmas present. One point on that ratchet the first heavy use for it was breaking off a wheel stud on a 1/2 half ton pickup truck (the lug nut was rusted to the stud we bought a new stud an nut but had to break the old wheel stud to get the tire off. Two large guys but we did it and the ratchet is fine. The Hazet ratchet I do wish it was a flex ratchet. I also wonder would Hazet make 3/8 dr ratchet like the 1/2 dr 916HPLG ? I have a lot of breaker bars, This one I just wanted it since I saw it all those years ago.

    • @carrepairandtoolsvideos
      @carrepairandtoolsvideos  26 днів тому

      @@EdAtoZ Woww thats impressive. I also use similar ratchet as a breaker bar and never got into any problem so far. Yeah, it would be nice to to have flex head mechanism on that. 3/8'' would be sweet if the come up with that. I talked to the Hazet people and they said that they dont have no plans for flex head ratchet in hiper series in near future.
