  • The Bio-Rad ddPCR Microsatellite Instability (MSI) Kit supports evaluation of MSI status in both plasma and formalin-fixed paraffin -embedded (FFPE) tissue, without the need for normal tissue samples. Assessing MSI status via BAT25, BAT26, NR21, NR24, and Mono27 markers is a critical biomarker in many types of cancer, including colorectal cancer. The MSI kit is supported by QX Manager Software, with MSI-specific autothresholding to make analysis fast and repeatable. The MSI kit provides data in less than 6 hours and is sensitive and is greater than 96% specific, while requiring minimal sample input. The sensitivity and reproducibility of the new ddPCR kit even allows investigators to assess MSI in non-colorectal cancer types.
