THREE videos in 20 min?!? We have been blessed by the gods
Wow! The file work, the scrolling, the spacers, the blade... Wow! I really see you advancing your craft with every video.
❤ the channel.
I just watched the part 1 and not having to wait to see part 2 is actually PRETTY NICE
That is pretty awesome. A lot of people don't want their knife to be absolutely perfect because then it looks like it wasn't made by a human. Your knife is stunning.
Absolutely perfect grind on that blade, and now I see I’m going to need another tool for my shop, Because that handle looked fantastic, and I need to try that for myself. Thank you for the video Steve great job.
Man you make it look extremely easy it usually takes me a couple months to do something on that scale congratulations on a successful project beetle buddy
A little tip. After you sandblast something, if using glass bead or sand, scrub the piece thoroughly before trying to coat it with anything. Glass can leave a residue on your workpiece.
I love the look, Beetle! Great job!
Really turned out beautiful, well done. I enjoyed the watching process. I don’t see the flaws you speak of, the variations are what makes the piece unique. Truly brilliant work, thanks for taking us along
Protect this man at all costs.
You never disappoint! My son and I were watching the three latest videos and my son said this is better than forged in fire! Why is this guy not on forged in fire ?
high praise, ty
The most impressive thing on your knife is your guard. Wonderful craftsmanship. Can we maybe see another Colab with Ray Kirk???
You are a pro! Great work! I always enjoy your videos!
Great job. Thar is my favorite shape for a Bowie: Very graceful.
Even I felt anxious when you started using the engraver. Really impressed with the outcome!
That is easily my favorite knife you have ever done. It’s gorgeous. And not just the handle, the blade profile and the finger guard, it’s as close to a perfect knife as I could imagine. You’re an incredible craftsman and that’s coming from someone who makes knives.
Wow, that looks great. Perfect first attempts are very rare. This actually gives me some ideas, thank you for sharing!
Really enjoyable video. Great result and the green bottle etched logo is absolutely brilliant
Knife looks absolutely gorgeous, IMO.
Totally love that guard, true work of art.
Good to see you pushing yourself.
It’s amazing to see how far you’ve come not saying you’ve ever made anything bad per say but “started at rebar knives now we here”
Hope you feel better soon! That is a sweet piece of work in my humble opinion. Keep it up. Really enjoy the videos.
I've used wood putty as filler and has worked wonderful
I recently bought some starbond. I could have saved more money using a black friday code, but wanted to support you and used your code. Thanks so much for the amazingly entertaining educational videos. Thanks for all you do Steve
👍🙏
Dude... you rocked this. A real stretch and a real win. I'd be stoked to own this knife. Good job!
Wow! Beautiful! The Bowie is still the knife with the best lines of all if you ask me ;-)
Cool idea on how to do the guard. I will try that on my next one. Thank you for the awesome videos. I learn from most of them.
Amazing craftsmanship!!! Awesome Awesome work!!!
Wow man. Absolutely beautiful. You have an amazing talent man!! Hope to meet you soon!!
Its a cool look, and using CA glue to fill it was something I would not have thought about.
Awesome Bowie Knife !!!!!!!!! Two thumbs way up !!!!!!!!!
Beautiful work sir. Well done.
That looks great. Amazing work thank you for sharing it with use.
The filed spacer is really cool!!
You need a pattern makers vise. Once you have one, you'll carve way more and it's actually enjoyable instead of a finger workout.. Great job!!!
Don't be harsh with yourself, it looks amazing, congratulations!
I think both of those handles were winners actually. Dig the synth music at the end too.
You have got talent!!! Looks awesome!
Super late getting here but I am in awe over this. My brothers and I just starting forging and wow, just wow! You make it look so easy...kinda discouraging more than anything lol
You can do it!
I think it looks awesome! Excellent job!!
I laughed when you put on the gloves to grind the guard. That shit gets hot
Beautiful work. I really dig the look of the handle and the guard :D
Good save on that pin hole, killer looking knife man.
this is pure beauty! Really a great job!
Gorgeous work, beautiful!
Wow you must put a lot of effort and time in that piece, it looks amazing thank you and Im looking forward to see more of your work, well done mate.
GORGEOUS work! Kudos!
i like that you were wiling to experiment
That is Brilliant work!! Fantastic video!!
That is 100% gorgeous!
Awesome job. Iike the pattern work
This is amazing! I love how it turned out. Great work!
That looks awesome great job.
Came out awesome!
Fantastic! Great work.
Boy you got skills well done
Outstanding! Great job!
Beautiful brother!
Totally amazed at your engraving skills. I'm workin on mine as well Steve. God Bless Bro.
Awesome work buddy!
Lucky for me, my eyes are too far gone to try anything that fine😁 Turned out great Mr beetle 👍
So many new skills 👍
I sort of dig it...'ts a superb craftsmanship... :)
Really awesome work and knife!
Looks awesome man!
You don't disappoint. I like the carving it looks handmade and the small imperfections add to the caricature, in my humble opinion. Any chance of seeing you make a folding knife anytime soon?
nooooo unless its super easy like a friction only
@9:55 -- you got outtsdoorsy 55 guy rockin' eh?!!!!! nice.
I like not having the engraving all over the handle makes it look good with out looking to busy
Nice style to it.
you should get one of those small cnc machines to do the handle carving.
Absolutely amazing
incredible work as usual. have you heard of kintsugi? it is japanese pottery repair, and i think something similar might look great in cracked (or carved) handles.
You make beautiful knives 😊
That’s frickin awesome looking dude!
As I tell my shop students: "Sometimes good enough is better."
Awesome knife! I think having the wood laying on something, instead of standing would help you get some more precision when you carve it.
Dude it's freaking beautiful 😍
Certainly an extremely beautiful knife! My only critique is that you should work on making those engraving lines a tad smoother. I think once you have that down, it will be absolutely impeccable. Of course, that is probably the hardest thing to do on a blade like this. Well done! Your work is amazing and I see you progressing well. Good luck and God bless!
Too cool and great work
great work!
Nice work
Handsome, handsome knife!
love this vid and the exquisite knife. Fully awesome!
your progression is insane. Inspirational man! I need to source a hammer and anvil haha
Awesome work🦞🦞🦞
Damn that's a cool knife
What headlamp/magnifying glass setup was that? Also, what carving tool is that?
Dude its awesome!
When you're early and don't even know it
Steve....... Let me start with a thank you for the entertainment. Now a nother good way to preglue your handles for fitting.I like to use plumbers tape on the tang prior to putting wax on the tang. I have found it is another layer of protection from the epoxy bonding to the tang.. Try it sometime... God Bless You and yours from me and mine..Martin
Also, could you share more on the magnesium coating?
its really a phosphorus coating there's a zinc version and manesium version the latter tends to be darker if I understand.
You are too hard on yourself, its beautiful.
Perfectionism is a mental disease. Those who suffer from it are very rarely satisfied with their own work. We can always see something that could have been done better.
Beautiful knife, and excellent work on the handle. A couple of questions:
1. What do you use to make pins and rivets for your various projects?
2. What's the title of that awesome outro song?
i use brass or nickel silver most of the time
@@GreenBeetle Does the stock come in sizes suitable for the task, or do you modify them in any way?
Great video! do you think that power grinder could be used for the same purpose on metals?
hmmm not sure
Maybe some symmetry on the grapes. Curves are nice. You'd be better with pen ink to be honest.
I dig it also ,good work
Love it!
Love it man
Great work on the knife! Of course, the engraving isn't "perfect", but it looks good enough to me! :) BTW, do I detect a sort of Norse/Finnish flavor too the design work?
Did I see an eagle on the anvil? I love Fishers!
its a baby rhino
@@GreenBeetle my bad lol I just started forging and seeing how much you've improved since the file knife is one of the main reasons I keep trying! Not trying to get all sentimental, but thanks for the videos👍.
Banger!
