The song is about how ARMY were always the only support they got outside the company, we know how hard it was for them , they know how hard it was for us! I think that's why it may looks hard to understand from the outside (or if you're new in the fandom )^^
The MV shows pieces of their important MVs, all the bad things happening inside represent the hardships they faced in 7years, the purple lights and the whale represent ARMYs cheering them up and bringing them higher higher,in a dangerous yet safe place ! At the end you can see 2 logos ( 1 door opening, 1 door opened) the first one is the logo they created for us and the second one is bts logo (if you put it together its an opening door ). It means that when you open this door and go inside you enter this magic shop, a place in our heart where we and bts are safe and happy all together, no more hate no more sadness or stress and pressure a place where we will only walk in flower roads ( sorry Im not very good in english but I hope it makes sense )
You might not know but they had a lot of hard times in 7years... Since day 1 the whole korean music insustry tried to break them apart and all they received at first was hate because BigHit ( their company ) was very small with no money, no power... They were not important for this big industry, they were cut off broadcasts, disrespected, people would say they were very ugly cause they didnt fit the korean beauty standard.. they laughed at their name.. etc
Their strength is that BTS talk about real matters in their songs, they always have been very different from other groups and that's what made the difference for them!
But As they gained more fans they also gained more hate.. accused of manipulating charts or plagiarism and those kind of bullsh*ts...we were sad because the boys received hate, they were sad because army received hate for defending them too and we all realized that we only have each other after all ! In 7 years we faced A LOOOTS of hardship, we always stayed with them, trusted them! I said we faced... But actually they still receive so much hate...some really want to break them for no reasons ! that's unbelievable !
They already said that they were thinking about disband in early 2018 because it was too hard for them but ARMY was the reason they stayed ( Thanks god )

You definitely need to start from the beginning of their career and move forward to get the references in this video. They are going through the different MV eras with you in this video. They debuted in 2013, so you were right, 7 years. I cried when I heard the song and I definitely ugly cried when I saw this. Just a bit of info, purple is the color of BTS and ARMY (I purple you (Borahae) = I love you) that’s why you saw a bunch of purple in the video. The purple in the video represents ARMY. When they first debuted, they were ridiculed pretty badly and obviously they shoved that in haters faces with the help of ARMY.

- the intro with the blue bighit logo (their old one was orange with blue background)
- it then turning into the wall of their old dance practice studio and Joon wearing his Boy With Luv outfit confronting his debut days self in a "Reflection"
- Jungkook walking down the street of the No More Dream MV in their debut stage outfit
- him turning into Tae walking into the We Are Bulletproof pt 2 MV and the glasses being sh0t or punched off is actually his part in the No More Dream choreo
- it then turns into Hobi who walks into the N.O MV
- it then turns into Jin walking down an empty hallway in the Boy In Luv MV
- which then turns into the set of Danger with Jimin walking in his We Are Bulletproof pt 2 outfit
- the thorny monster arms, shattering glass, everything falling to pieces and the "black ocean" (fandoms joined forces to not have their lightsticks on during an award show to show their disliking of BTS) are all the hate, antis, defamation and other things they have faced
- Namjoon falling into a big dark ocean hit me especially hard, cuz he was a very (I don't wanna say depressed but he literally has a therapist and I think all the hate did cause him mental pain) sad person for a while. It shows a lot in his fashion back then (all black), his studio set up (all black), his earnest demeanor and his first mixtape (and also his 2nd where he finally let go)
- the shattered shards chasing Yoongi in his I Need U outfit also hits hard, cuz around that era, when they first won on a music show the hate got really bad (when they were accused of copying other groups and bulk buying albums etc. cuz they won first place)
- the small amount of purple lights who help Joon resurface of course being the veteran Army who stood by them when they had no one else (most peers/idols looked down on them, so did their fans and especially the industry and companies)
- them standing up and the cherry blossoms signifying the Most Beautiful Moment era (that really meant a lot to us and them) really hit me, especially when it turned into Joon walking towards "us" in the Young Forever MV set with the other 6 😭
- they then all run through the I Need U, Run, Blood Sweat and Tears and Not Today MVs in their Run/Fire era hairstyles but debut outfits signifying that they stayed the same humble guys
- they run towards the Spring Day MV tree and sit in a bonfire circle from the I Need U MV but they're wearing their Wings Tour Final concert outfits
- and here is where it gets really painful ✋😭:
- the whale is a reference to the song Whalien 52 which is a whale no one can hear in the ocean so he is alone, but he carries the boys into heaven aka the stage and Army (the purple glowy things) are their galaxy
- the Army galaxy turns into the shape of a concert hall/stadium that resembles Wembley and the way they're standing away from each other on stage suggests it's the "Born Singer" performance
- they then stand together on stage, Hobi holding a MAMA award and all of them crying: it's a combination of their ending speech from the Wings Final concert that was very very heartfelt (Joon's "lessen your pain from 99 to 98 etc." being quoted a lot from that day) AND the 2018 MAMA speech when Hobi cried and they confessed they almost disbanded
- the stage extending to the Army logo which then turns into the Bangtan logo meaning we're one and they have us and we have them ("we are not 7 with you")
- it ending with cherry blossom petals and Boy With Luv outfits meaning they're happy now and some people said it stopped there cuz they didn't have the chance to be with us during the Map of the Soul 7 era yet and cuz BWL was a very happy time for them (many awards won, lots of achievements, the guys being a lot more happy and content with themselves)
Overall a very very heartfelt MV and it made me cry cuz I witnessed it all over the past 7 years and them dropping it on the day their first MV debuted and people ridiculed them for their style etc really hit different
Update: something I read on twitter that rings very true - they take a rest in the Spring Day MV cuz they thought this era was their limit only to be picked up by the whale/us and brought to even higher highs and the biggest stage

This song makes every ARMY cries as it is very meaningful to both BTS and ARMY... BTS and ARMY has been thru so much hardships together since 2013 (when BTS debuted), so many memories are recalled in this MV.. it is very emotional for us.
You will understand this video a lot more once you’ve watched a lot more of them especially together as a group. It’s literally their past music videos and us as Army together. It’s their journey. 💜💜💜💜💜

There’s a great deal from the past going on in this video but you were on the right track at the end 8:53 is the symbol for ARMY then it inverted at 8:56 which is the symbol for BTS. Whenever you see the purple lights around them, that’s ARMY. The more you learn and go to past videos, the more this MV will make sense to you but you did a good job trying to figure it out 😊💜

FESTA is their annually anniversary, they debuted on 13 June 2013, so we celebrate their « birthday » every year. The boys give us a bunch of gifts (videos, songs, photos, fun facts, etc) for a week. That’s probably what you’ve been seeing those past couple days. Thus, the 7 winters and springs, we are celebrating their 7th anniversary this year. That’s also why their current album is called « Map of the Soul : 7 », this year is really meaningful to BTS and ARMYs 💜
We are also getting a special video tomorrow where the members will have fun, play games and reenact their 1rst anniversary! As well as on the 14th, we are getting a full online live concert named « BangBangCon : The Live »

All these songs are amazing and I suggest reacting to them. Songs from 2013 and 2014 are different to others cause that was back when they were more of a hiphop idol group. I honestly don't know why none of the music videos from the love yourself era (end of 2017-2018) and this year were not included in this. Feel free to offer your opinion.
Also you may have noticed how jk gets engulfed by a 'black ocean's at 4:12. To non/ baby army's this may not seem like much but a black ocean is a term used in kpop to refer to when everyone is the audience turns their lightsticks off which makes it dark (hence why it is called a *black* ocean). They do not happen as much nowadays however bts often received them in Korea back when they weren't as popular. Most of the time a black ocean is a sign that the audience (haters) do not respect the group or their performance. It often effects groups mentally because when they look out into the audience they see nothing, not even their fans. However, as they grew, so did the fandom until the audience became nothing but a sea of purple army bombs as shown at 7:53
When they say 'with you' they are referring to ARMY and showing how bts is nothing without ARMY and vice-versus. This song was made for the fans. The word 'bulletproof' means alot to them as it is not only in their name (-Bangtan) but they also have two other songs called we are bulletproof- part 1 and 2 which are more hiphop style. By saying they are 'bulletproof' they are basically saying that no matter what hate they have thrown at them, they will never back down and always stand strong with ARMY. You were also right about them being together for 7 years. They debuted on 13th June 2013 which is why the festa is happening. It is a countdown to their seventh anniversary. 'No more dream' was their debut song.

also this mv is kind of an homage for all of their past music videos and eras, so I think if you watched it after you watched some of their past works you'll get more of the meaning of it
The scenes being shown are actually from their past music videos and their characters’ clothes and hairstyles change according to the era the videos are from as well. To me it shows all that they went through and that along with the lyrics really hits you straight in the feels. Once you’ve watched all of the referenced videos you will understand a little bit better. My personal favorite part of the lyrics is when they acknowledge that even they themselves didn’t like their name (a lot of people made fun of their group’s name at first) but it has now become true, they’ve become bulletproof.

Something that amazes me is that this isn't just any song it's a song for the fans. From the artists I've listened to, BTS are one of the only ones that make songs FOR the fans. It's about the struggles they went through but now that we're all together, they feel like they can take on the world.

The purple lights are the ARMY Bombs (the BTS light-stick that ARMY waves at every performance of theirs. FESTA is the celebration leading up to BTS’ debut anniversary on June 13. They do this every year. They sometime give us new songs (like this year they gave us Still With You), and new videos and other things so that ARMY can celebrate with them.

This FESTA is a countdown cellebration of their 7th Anniversary.
To answer your ending question, I see festa like fiesta (English translation: party) is a celebration like a birthday/anniversary when they first debuted/started. The whole mv is referencing all 7 years, everything they went through. All the good and bad to get to where they are now. Also a lot of iconic looks from music videos throughout the years. That's why they keep changing appearances throughout the animation/mv.

yes you're right, those obstacles they faced in the video happened to them irl. before they got the huge fame, they faced so much challenges and considers disbanding in the N.O era due to lack of budget. in the Run mv, they even used their producer's and manager's car to film a scene, they dont have enough budget by that time. they received so much hate in the past as well, xenophobia is one of the examples.

They have been together since 2013 when they debuted, so this is will be their 7th anniversary on the 13th. Festa is basically a thing BTS does every year to celebrate their anniversaries, this one is especially special because it will be the 7th and of course there are 7 members, which is way the album name is 7. They're saying they are not only 7 anymore because they have the army. It's a really meaningful song because they went through so much in the early years and now they've made it thanks to us. BTW, bangtan, which is part of their name, translates to bulletproof. One of their older songs is called 'We Are Bulletproof p.2'

I remember BTS found me the beginning of this year. I listened to all their albums and watched wayyyyy too many videos to count. When their MOTS 7 album released, I personally felt I couldn't listen to this song UNTIL I could truly understand the true meaning behind it. And God, when I tell you I cried during my first listen, I BAWLED. It's a bit harder watching a video like this when people haven't seen all their music videos and/or listened to their discography. It's much more emotional being able to see the smallest to biggest references and actually understanding it :) But, I'm glad you still reacted to it!
Basically the song is for ARMY. The purple lights are ARMY. They made up a word to say I love you/purple for us. Borahae.💜. They debuted 7 years ago, but have been together for about 10 years. You have to watch their videos because when they are running, it’s through their own Music Videos. The past. The beginning, the leader is meeting with his old self. Then they go through all the music videos to show you a timeline, Basically saying they wouldn’t be where they are now if it weren’t army and then being there for each other. When you do some more research on them, watch more music videos, you’ll understand the song better. It hurts differently tho. Some of us got so emotional with this song.
There are so many details in this mv, like when jungkook cried at their concert and when jhope cried when they receive grand award.
The sceneries they went by is in their music videos. Purple is meaningful to BTS and army thats why there are purple orbs in this music video. The purple orbs turned into whale and took BTS to the top (shows how much BTS grateful to their fans).

Anywho i just wanted to say that this mv shows the scenes of their past mv and current it shows their pasts and struggles. It shows what they've been through and hiw they overcame it, it showa thata they are bulletproof and we really don't deserve them.

This music video has a lot of meaning, the actual MV gives a deeper insight into that. A lot of army have struggled internally, personally I struggled with ptsd because of a car accident and when I found BTS and sing and listen to their music while I'm driving my anxiety seems to go away. People listen to BTS to really lift their spirits. We are not seven, with you; it basically means they started out as just 7 guys in a group but now BTS "ARMY" IS millions of people.. so it's not just 7 anymore.. we are all apart of BTS. This is their thank you to us for always being there through everything with them.

At the end when they say “We are not seven with you,” it means that bc of Army and others, they are no longer just seven. You should watch all the music videos, introductions, and nobodies to legends videos. This video will become more clear. Each scene is a different music video. The song is talking about their hardships and how together with ARMY they overcame them. From being belittled and being ridiculed for their group name Bangtan Sonyeondan (bulletproof boyscouts) to the way they looked. There was a prejudice against them because their company was small and had no money (in the beginning they even had to use staff members as extras in the music videos, they all shared one room.) and everyone was backing artists from the Big 3 companies. They got a lot of hate and were mistreated. They got accused of a lot of things too like plagiarism. They were not always where they are now and had a hard time making it at first. Their future was uncertain but with Army they weren't afraid of it anymore. ARMY made them truly bulletproof.
The are not seven with you means that they are no longer just 7 of them standing alone against the world. They have Army now so they are so much more than 7.

This song took me by surprise because "we are bulletproof" songs are more upbeat rap/hiphop tracks so when this came out on the new album I was ready for something like that. THEN they blessed Army with the sweetest song that talked about their journey and army together. Definitely save this video for a follow up, you will love it 10x more when you see the mastery behind the song and MV. 💜

BTS' name spelled out is Bangtan Sonyeondan which translates to Bulletproof Boy scouts. In 2017 though, they changed the meaning to Beyond The Scene; They didn't get rid of the original meaning though, more like adding to it. They debuted 7 years ago since June 13. They have went through many trials and tribulations to get them to where they are now but they also know that it couldn't have been done without ARMY supporting them through it all. This song is a tribute to ARMY to show their appreciation and love. The video is a mesh of their past MVs.

You should watch this again once you have seen all their MVs . This is so precious, especially coz the attention to details, every scene is a refrence to their past, so it hits even deeper :)
Also - good hunch, they did not break up, BUT ....they mentioned I believe at the beginning of 2019 that they did consider it....which I respected a LOT that amount of transparency. And it showed it pained them to even remember that time when they considered it...but their contract ended in 2018, and it is never easy to sign another 5 year contract especially if it requires this amount of dedication and energy.
You might struggle to grasp this track, since you've just recently gotten into BTS... it's a depiction of the members of BTS as animated characters, walking through the sets of each of their older music videos... a kind of reflection of their careers up until this point, and a bit of a "thank you" to their fans ARMY for taking them along this journey over the past 7 years...it's basically saying, "when we started, we only had each other, 7 members trying to make it in a cut-throat industry....but now, because of the fans, we've reached the mountaintop, we made it to heaven because of all of you... and now we are now longer JUST 7 members anymore...because we have the millions of fans with us."
The reason this song has so much impact with the fans, is because of the mandatory military service requirements of South Korea. Their country requires a minimum of 18 to 21 months of mandatory military service for all able-bodied males ages 18-35, due to the fact that technically North and South Korea are still at war. That means that each member of BTS will have to set aside their careers in the music industry at some point and serve their country. The oldest member of BTS, Jin, is getting closer and closer to the age limit to enlist...so, depending on which branch he chooses to enroll in, the requirements may be slightly different, and the minimum mandatory service length may vary, as the laws have changed recently... but in general, the fandom ARMY has known for some time that at least one member of the 7-member lineup will be leaving soon, so BTS wanted to show appreciation to the fans with this song, before any big changes inevitably occur. There have been some rumors about whether or not more than one member would choose to enlist voluntarily, in order to knock out those 18 months as quick as possible, so that they can get back to their careers in music... some have even speculated that ALL SEVEN MEMBERS might enlist at the same time, leaving the entire fan base without any music for 18 months... but after that hiatus, they could have a massive reunion comeback, and the entire fandom ARMY would lose their minds, lol...(that's what I'm hoping for anyway...I think it would be the coolest way to do it, imo)

The song is about all they want thur to be where they are at now. They went thru alot of pain, were accused of many things, were told that they will never make it, received death threats etc. So this video is from when they started to now.
I think that no matter how many times I've watched I'm gonna cry even if I've been a fan for a short while and still trying to listen to all of their songs I've listened enough to try and get the gist of what it means it makes me really happy to be apart of the army 💜💜💜
The way I took part of it is the purple stars represent ARMY and we are their stars and we stand with them. I love that song and that video got me all in my feelings.
