I think it was a harmless joke by James..I think the delivery was a bit off but after all at the end of the day he meant no harm...some are taking it too far and taking things too seriously

Well some of the members are still having trouble with English. I think about 3 of them are taking classes for English right now. Namjoon is the best English speaker in the group currently so he said he kinda acts like a translator to the rest of them.
After today my respect for Namjoon and the others grew more. When James cracked those jokes about BTS I was honestly more disappointed than angry but then again I understood that maybe James didn't meant it seriously and it was just as he said was a joke. It’s perfectly okay to joke a little with stereotypes or done the right way by the right people it could be perfectly fine to imitate the boys as a joke.(most likely a white person shouldn’t, but there was this kid from another Kpop group that made a parody of Tae, but it was done with admiration and the context made it work pretty well, even if army went off on Twitter)

Armys called him out on that and a lot of us really disliked him. Namjoon knows what happened, that James had bad blood with Army so he addressed that on this show.

I like the subtitles. They can speak English if they want, but I liked hearing them answer in Korean. Good for them. About time American networks figured out simple ways to let people speak their own language.
Well some of the members are still having trouble with English. I think about 3 of them are taking classes for English right now. Namjoon is the best English speaker in the group currently so he said he kinda acts like a translator to the rest of them.

After today my respect for Namjoon and the others grew more. When James cracked those jokes about BTS I was honestly more disappointed than angry but then again I understood that maybe James didn't meant it seriously and it was just as he said was a joke. And as a 19 year old I tried to be mature and understand the situation but the death threats were just unacceptable. I purple you BTS.

I'm nearly 30 and didn't really find it offensive. Sure, a bit of a cliche to call fans of a "boyband" 15 year olds, but the "unusual" comment was perfectly fine. It IS unusual for pop stars to kick off the UN. BTS are unusual and do many unusual things considering them being "just" pop stars. That's the whole point. Is it not?

It’s perfectly okay to joke a little with stereotypes or done the right way by the right people it could be perfectly fine to imitate the boys as a joke.(most likely a white person shouldn’t, but there was this kid from another Kpop group that made a parody of Tae, but it was done with admiration and the context made it work pretty well, even if army went off on Twitter)
