Who knew fish had such big balls 😂 I think a lot of depression is perpetuated by negative patterns of thought and behaviour. Travel shatters routines and disrupts these patterns. Rather than looking for what fits the patterns which constrain us, travel lets us see new patterns, and as you point out in the video, the belief in what's possible is renewed. I think what has the greatest bearing on our lives is not the one off events, like travel itself, but the consistent behaviours that those events subsequently allow us to establish. I also love iCarly. I used to watch it with my daughter when she was younger! Thank you for the video and I'm glad you're feeling better these days.
I’ve been looking for people to collaborate with while I’m in hk! I’m also from Canada and my anxiety has been off the charts. Hoping a change of scenery and being on the plane for 25 hours would help lol. I would love to hangout (if you want too)!
estrella!! i dmed you before i can’t believe you watched my video! 🫶🏻 hong kong has changed a lot since i was last there but don’t worry the signs are very clear in both Chinese and English you’ll be okay! You got this
as far as i know, ive been depressed since my early teens, i was born and grew up in a country where my city only had 1 or 2 families that were kinda my ethnicity, my school life my sisters and me were the only chinese, this was the 80s/90s era. Ive been to hong kong in 2019 even though i dont think i could be comfortable working there (i really hate cockroaches) i felt like i kinda belong and not sticking out like a sore thumb,
Thank you for sharing and for your comment~ I totally relate! My early teen years were such a confusing and depressing time in my life. I'm so glad you liked Hong Kong during your visit! It's not perfect but the city has its own unique charm. (I have a hard time with the moist heat haha)
