Jeezus Kryst. One of the most distinctive rock singers ever. I mean, Sully is powerful as hell. Can play any instrument seemingly. Absolutely killing it on a Rush song and I just knew he was going to. I had to play this as soon as I saw it! Huge Rush fan since 1984. Favorite band ever. Sully did this a lot of justice!

Neal was awesome! But do videos like this make you think he wasnt? YT channels sounds a good as he. Maybe he was not as cool as we thought if every drummer can copy him? I love neal and hate to say it but kinda makes sense?

@@paulcherry8742 Greatest/best is subjective to the listener. Neil would tell you that it wasn't him but instead it was Buddy Rich or John Bonham. Neil is hands down the most technical drummer I've ever head and Rush is by far my favorite band, but I'd probably take Buddy Rich or Mitch Mitchell over Neil.

Yeah, I know, man! People need to quit with the hate, (which shows up in many different ways), and they need to learn how to respect, and love, their fellow Man. We weren't put on the face of this Earth to be hating on, hurting, and even killing each other. We were put here to show love and compassion towards our fellow Man, no matter who it is, and no matter what they do! If I sound like I believe in God and Christianity, that's because I do believe in that lifestyle, and I try to live it! I'm not perfect, but I'll do my best to show love and respect for everyone!
To finish:I didn't even know that Sully Erna could play drums! This is truly amazing! He's got a huge load of talent, I'll give him that. I knew that he sings the lead vocals for his group, but I didn't know that he had drumming abilities.

That crazee Ole Sully! Drumming to perfection on that song...then, at one point during the song, actually taking time to cross himself, like the Catholics do...and then, at the end of the song, standing up, bowing to the "Audience" on his right, then turning, and bowing to the "Audience" on his left...

Did you expect Sully to play EXACTLY like Pete? Only Pete played like Pete. Sully plays just about everything out there, truly one of the greatest musicians today. Sully is playing his version of this song! He isn’t trying to be Pete. Ever hear and see his rendition of Rocky Mountain Way? It’s his version of Joe’s song and it’s great! So for all of you with negative comments…YOU try it! 🤘🏼rock on Sully, doing what you do best, music, the Godsmack way!

The information is out there if you care to look. Sully used to identify as Wiccan years ago but in a more recent interview, he says he doesn't follow any particular religion or denominations.
Also, for the record since I'm sure you won't bother to fact check yourself, Wicca and Satanism are two different beliefs. Maybe we'll say Christian/Muslim.

You have to remember too sully isn't a full time drummer. Hasn't been since his 20's I believe. To me the guy is just a really well rounded musician. Say what you want, but es done some great things in the rock world. I haven't been a fan of their newer stuff cause I think they're better than that. They're good enough to write complex material they just don't. That being said I'll always have love for Sully and the boys in Godsmack.

It is indeed awesome to the nice lady below me. But remember Sully has been on a drum set since a Toddler. I am a drummer however not in his class. He can play any Godsmack so g on the drums. Very talented ma.

Actually Sully is not only a drummer, but he’s a Pro drummer who wrote all the drum parts on the first Godsmack album, as well as the drums on the new song “Truth” on #LightingUpTheSky. He also came up with the drum duel with Shannon, and wrote percussion on his solo records. Sully is what’s known as a “multi-instrumentalist”. Drums, piano, guitar, bass, harmonica, percussion, vocals, lyrics...also, drums was his first instrument and he was the drummer of his former band before Godsmack. 🥁
Decent drummer. He rushed in the beginning, but still in the pocket. In one part he also played cymbal washes when he should have played on the ride. With more practice he can play this song perfectly.
This song is so difficult to play drums it shows how unbelievable Neil Peart was drumming and how he is a legend
