I literally cannot express how obsessed with Adagio in D Minor I am. I listen to the extended version on my way to work, I love falling asleep to it. This song just gives me absolute chills and a song that just makes me close my eyes and FEEL the music.

Excellent tune, excellent playing, and in D-minor is perfection. No Idea why, but hearing music in D-minor often gets mi choking up a bit, in a good way though, Tis good for the soul. even if you are not even feeling melancholy.

So let me get this straight. You are teaching the Adagio in " D " minor yet playing it in A minor. That's a great teaching channel right there.
It’s actually E minor. John Murphy had written the piece, before the movie, he had it originally set in D minor, but then transposed it to the aforementioned E minor at the last minute, as he thought it would sound more hopeful, that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Stunning piece of music , I'm trying to learn the piano and dream of playing this one day
I could really kick myself now. I asked my parents for a keyboard for my 3rd birthday, which they got me a small one and some books with the stickers for the keys lol. Year or two later, they got me a bigger kids keyboard with my grandparents.
I went on to have private piano pessons from the age of 7 until i was 15 (give or take a bit) i was studying towards a grade 6 exam with the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, during which i saved my "wages" from a saturday job and put in what i could and my grandparents bought me an upright piano.
Am now 37, and hear my parents and my Nan telling me how they along with their friends would all say they could all see me play leading an orchestra at concerts when i was older. It was my grandad who has now passed away that really took a shine to me playing and really encouraged me.
But now, am sitting in my living room, piano is just the other side of an archway in my dining room and i havent played it for over a year. Would take me probably 10yrs to get back to the same stage.
I do regret stopping tbh as i really used to enjoy it.

I am a total Noob to the piano and I started this peace a little over two weeks ago. I have 2:24 of it memorized and I'm in the final stages of remembering it all. After this I just have to practice executing it better.
